  • It was a single use jet

Now to go back to CVS and get it developed

    Thats never going to happen

  • little girl in far right corner didnt even look/care lol

  • AND JUST LIKE THAT A STUPID PILOT DRAWNS A 23 MILLION DOLLAR AIRPLANE.

  • He was spying on the chicks on the beach....and once he seen the beer.....he was like fuck this shit.....IM GOING TO PARTY!

    Jk....glad he's alright.

  • Poor harrier t.t

    darn stinger missiles

  • These pilots must have lightning fast reflexes. Every video of a bailing pilot seems as if they either hold out to the very last second to save plane or just do it before an immediate catastrophic failure. I wouldnt be able to do it that fast.

  • In soviet russia plane lands you

  • He was texting and flying

  • I was coming back from holiday and the plane was about an inch ontop of the ocean but luckily we didnt crash

  • It was at Lowestoft airshow, and the cause of the crash was found to be the pilot catching the thrust vectoring lever and throttle with the sleeve on his flight suit by accident. There was then not enough time to re-apply power and correct the error given the low altitude. The pilot did indeed land on top of the Harrier, and broke both his legs. He was then promptly rescued by Lowestoft lifeboat and taken to James Paget Hospital :)

  • Is this real? What is a fighter jet doing hovering over a beach where there are people swimming in the water? Besides hovering a Harrier isn't something the military practises on a daily basis since it demands a great deal from the pilot.

  • @kennysandhoj It was probably at an airshow

    ...Durr...

  • @kennysandhoj Also, the Navy has alot of these aircraft serving on aircraft carriers.

  • @kennysandhoj urm yes they do because i was at RAF wittering just before the harriers went out of service and they practise hovering and vertical landing quite alot

  • Why was it hovering like that before it plummeted?

  • @lovetodance It is an AV-8 Harrier. It is a plane that can rotate it's afterburners which allows it to hover in midair. It is only used for taking off and landing though. The Harrier can also take off and land like any other plane too.

  • @IslandThunder84 No it wasn't, it was a GR7. Only America uses the AV-8

  • Looks like the pilot drifted down back into the aircraft !!!! Doh !

  • type in "ski crashes" in the youtube search and click the video with stars in the title to be shocked!

  • Watch this video, amazing skills or imprudent piloting? /watch?v=QPDVVgieM7E

  • This was Lowerstoft Airshow, i saw it happen

  • if you press 7 some what rapidly it will look like the plane is coming out of the water.!!!! like if you did.. and i does

  • its au-8b harrier

  • was the water ok?

  • @ROBLOXrules115

    oh shut up

  • Sorry,.. Sir ! l press the wrong botton !!!

  • thats horrible

  • was the plane ok?

  • show off....

  • This is a harrier plane

  • Geeze dude, learn how to spell.

  • iif i were the people on the beach i would swim over and help him go back to beach

  • silly rabbit planes dont fly!!! :D

  • i was there ! haha just found this vid by chance i remember this!

  • throttle problem?

  • lol Harrier Chash xDDD

  • is this like of the oldest vids on youtube?

  • @jesse17ful

    /watch?v=uImk2RgCq_U

  • they fall into the fuckin water

  • In Soviet Russia plane ejects you

  • no the engine overheated it's a harrier and it was hovering for more than a min and the cooling system couldn't keep up the rising heat and the engines failed

  • lol this is real life gta.

  • wow nice entrance.

  • WOW a great stunt

  • LOOK at all those sexy girls down there. Fuck the jet, let's go down. They'll give me a new jet tomorrow anyway!

  • Babes, I can kill myself for you, what's a million dollar plane?

  • @kozeel million dollars? More like a billion.

  • @tksemipro about $7-15M

  • Can anyone offer me a good explanation as to why a Harrier jet would be hovering within 100m or so of swimming children on the beach?

  • @theflyingnerd haha good one...lots of possibilities

  • @theflyingnerd agreed...not to mention if there WAS a Harrier hovering that close I would NOT be splashing around and grab-assing with my friends. EVERYONE would be checking out the plane. I say HOAX.

  • @mitchellboomphi if its a hoax than why did everyone look back after it crasshed??? prove it wrong now bitch, lol

  • Comment removed

  • @mitchellboomphi look at the peoples' reactions - everyone does check out the plane once the pilot ejects

  • StupidPilot

    Destroyed Harrier!

  • if i was a kid and a harrier jump jut was 200ish yards away my eyes would be glued 2 it they didnt care untill it went down lol

  • Stall

  • Nice idea! Checking out the babes on bikini and taking pics of them from the top.

  • sucks he lands right on top of the plane

  • there goes an expensive harrier but good thing the pilot is ok,a pilot is worth more than a plane.

  • harrier #FAIL

  • dumbest spectators ever

  • LOL. The co pilot hit pretty hard. Hahahahahaha!

  • @chuckeieio What co pilot, the Harrier in the vid is a single seat fighter. It's not the trainer version

  • That is a jet, not a Plane.................

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember reading somewhere that the pilot did in fact land on the aircraft in the water and suffered a broken wrist. Other than that everyone was fine.

  • Pilot: I'm out of here, and, oh crap no not back there, damn you wind currents!

  • And the pilot landed on the plane itself, i think.

  • their reactions are quite amazing (:

  • Man awesome split second of reaction of the Pilot to bail out at the last moment.

  • I like how the swimmers aren't paying much attention until it crashes - watch their reactions. Its quite amazing.

  • Fuck thats a fuckin Harrier how didt eh engine fail! i mean those could suck a man in and kill them! and it could stay hover with the lower engine what teh fuck! btw pilot you just lost 55mill from your paycheck from the USAF

  • @jyhammy

Read some of the comments before posting! Its not a US plane! Its an RAF Harrier at Lowestoft Air Show on the East coast of the UK!

    Google it!

  • @jyhammy That's strange, considering the USAF doesn't fly Harriers.

  • @dogplusfishvids Nah i dont think so its not in the arsenal, only the Royal airforce do, or whom ever they sell the planes to

  • ajajajajaja uno menos para malvinas jajajaa

  • Good thing he ejaculated, I hear that ejaculating right before a crash can save your life. Whoops, I mean ejecting.

  • @MapleSephiroth That was a bad joke and you should feel bad.

  • EVERYONE SEARCH GTA4 :P

  • lands on jet ironically

    quick reactions throughout the video

  • bye bye 55 mil dollars

  • hey look at me i can crash my jet and still be alive, im so cool. Douchebag

  • What the hell is a harrier doing over a beach like that, and why the hell does no one on the beach care that there is a random harrier hovering above them?

  • @PSNBOB580

It was at an airshow at Lowersoft (they display near the beach)

  • i havnt done research on this but i was told by my aerospace tutor that harriers can only hover for for a short while (about 30-50 seconds) before the engines over heat. The lack of forced air over the engines when hovering is a major problem for VTOL aircraft thats why harriers dont usualy take off verticly. Although i bet this time frame differs between the differnt models, oh btw i aint saying this is the cause of the crash, heh heh

  • WOW

  • bloody yanks

  • That shity plane ahahahaha

  • OMG that is something! - 5***** !

  • eywanna find a fellow who can satisfy my needs

  • Is a F16, also know as a tomcat.

  • @judgedred88 The F14 is known as the Tomcat :)

  • is it a Harrier?

  • one of the people were playing and missed it

  • @gooper90

    loooooool

    yeah

  • Epic Pilot Win.

  • lollooking for a guy who knows his way around a lady's body

  • whats happened to the sea below the plane, like a shock wave, just before the jet starts to fall down?

  • @kaleyne well im not an expert but i think that this plane is a harrier. harriers are planes that can like hover in the air but the can only do so with air blowing out vents onto the ground. that is how they hover. so the air was blowing from the vents onto the water and it was moving the water from all the air blowing on it.

  • McDonnel Douglas AV-8B Harrier. The irony is that because of wind direction he did eject succsessfully but it blew him back towards the plane.... thats not fun. He is lucky, alot of pilots died trying to perfect hovering manovers in the Hairrier.

  • That is a Harrier jet. It can hover in mid-air by directing jet exhaust down instead of backwards. The 'shock wave' you saw was the down-blast from the jets.

  • @okaaaiiiden, a few things, i'm not lying about being there, im english, not russian, and as soviets are communist, i fail to see how i can be soviet and nazi at the same time :S

  • @Willjillings01 ummm, yes you can google "Russian Nazi" :p

  • @Willjillings01 Son of Hitler and Alexandra Kollontai ?

  • just one thing that looks weird...is the jet just sitting there in the air before it goes down? it made me think it was fake for a while...how does that get to happen?

  • It entered into a stall.

  • @Josephdman Its a harrier m8, i was there. he was hovering it and he hit the thottle lever instead of the 1 that controls the nozels because they're right next to eachother. The engines went to idle and after that he had no chance and decided to go for a swim

  • that seem s kind of stupid to put the levers right next to each other should be improved i mean only a few millions of dollars wasted do know if an X32 is better or a harrier ?

  • @Josephdman it is a harrier . vertical takeoff and landing

  • LOL!

  • I was at this airshow in Lowestoft at the time, and it is not fake.

  • damb it looked like the pilot tryed to get back into the plane!!!!lol

  • hahaha FAIL!

  • Who thought this was fake? You're an idiot

  • @izakst damn right i was there lol , lowestoft airshow woopwoop

  • anyone know who actually filmed this

  • anybody know what went wrong?

  • Pilot was looking at babes on beach in bikinis and said "Fuck this I want to be down there".

  • @TheJomogogo hahahahaha

  • @TheJomogogo lololololol

  • yes

  • it is the lowestoft air show - this is definately not fake, honest!

  • If it's not fake then how come when it's up in the air nobody is looking at it? I'd be staring the shit out of it, but even kids didnt seem to look

  • It was not fake i was there not body was looking because they harrier was coming into do it's final approach "the bow". When Flt Tony Cann ejected the plane descended into the water.

  • it's not fake m8......my dad is a chief technician in the RAF and used to be on Harrier Squadrons.....he had to deal with it.

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • is this the Harrier that crashed at the Lowestoft airshow ? if so , it aint no fake as I was there, it was horrible, thank God the pilot survived x

  • its not fake

  • fake

  • you`re fake

  • nahh... that star stream...

    lol

  • heh

  • this shit is fake. aircraft are not allowed to fly that close to any object.

  • its a crash dumbass

  • WOO HOLYSHIT :D

  • bullshit as if a plane that generates 40, 000 pounds of trust and has a bigger sound output than a missile impact can not be noticed by a couple of people in the beach. It hovering right in front of them and they don't even notice.

  • they are all looking at it

  • Right Type in Lowestoft harrier crash and this will PROVE to all dick wads it is NOT fake

  • Sprig,

It is a seaside airshow held every year. Some of the kids are watching it and some do react when it crashes. Copy and paste the following into a search engine

'Military Aircraft Accident Summary (MAAS), Aircraft Type: RAF Harrier GR7 ZD464'

  • Whoah!!

looks like he may have got sucked into the turbine after ejection!!! or come close! Bet he shit his pants when he saw that coming!

  • It is a Harrier....

  • how the fuck did that happen?!

  • Harriers can't hover like that forever.

  • Yeah theres only so much kerosene you can fit in

  • kerosene? thats not jet fuel

  • yes it is!

  • Kerosene IS jet fuel. It's called AVTUR in aviation terms.

  • i thought kerosene was the stuff you put in little lanterns and stuff. that stuff isnt as flammable as the jet fuel ive seen burn

  • People would be allowed to be swimming that close to an airshow? Not calling this "fake", but the circumstances are unusual. I'd have to be there to understand better.

  • yeah, yeah... inside the cockpit...

  • this couldnt be an air show cuz no one is allowed in the water period during a waterfront air show like when the blue angels return home to pensacola or the air show is halted for a while

  • Brianrox1,

This WAS an airshow. Lowestoft in the UK. The Harrier is operating at the permitted safe distance from the crowd. This is no nearer than if the Harrier was performing at a normal airshow over a runway.

  • I can guarantee that this was real mate. Happened in Lowestoft (my home town), in summer 2002. People are allowed to swim in the sea while planes are performing, but only as far as the buoys you can see to the left of the picture as the video starts. I was watching this about 80 yards from where it happened!

  • Nah this actually is real... It was on a 'most amazing videos of all time' count down.

They had a huge rant about how after heaps of investigation it was pilot error, and not a mechanical failure like the pilot claimed. Then, they made a big deal about how if he landed back on the plane, something could have sucked him in or something.

The point is, this is real and like the other comments said, was at an airshow.

  • ISN'T IT TYPICAL when ever something goes wrong with a multimillion dollar/pound piece of machinery(with a billion moving parts that can go wrong) they rearly go for mechanical failure .

cauyse that would mean loosing big comtracts.

you know how it ended up,besdies what you say aboive here?

  • Leiefilm,

Read the accident report. Copy and paste or type the following into a search engine.

'Military Aircraft Accident Summary (MAAS), Aircraft Type: RAF Harrier GR7 ZD 464'

It isn't the first time that a lever mix-up has caused a Harrier crash.

  • Yeah it's real. It took place in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at the Sea & Air Show. I was there when it happened.

  • This isnt even real... Is it?

  • Yep, it is indeed real.

The pilots broken ankle from landing on the wreckage was pretty real too!

  • WOW thats scary.

  • fake!!!!!!

  • Real.

    Lowestoft, Suffolk, August 2002.

  • on basis is this fake?

    tool.

  • True yer

  • Its a bit odd that no one realised that this plane was there and that it was struggling to stay up.

  • he landed where he would have if he was in the plane lol.

  • lol the kid with the yellow hat, the guy in the middle, and the kid all the way to the right all turned their head at the exact same time.

  • haha landed pretty much on the plane

  • lol he came back to save the plane?

  • that harrier had a little accident now didnt it?

  • that would suck because he landed right in the spot where the jet hit so the jet sinking would pull him under that would be horrible!!

  • it wudnt

  • keep watching the part when the jet flies n hit the ocean

-notice the people got its attention

  • the pilot was sitting up there.. looking at hot chicks.. and the engine fail.. lol
