  • 1968, actually

  • A schoolboy back then, my first girlfriend......later killed in a car crash......never forgot her.......This is for you isabel..........never forget you xx

  • @oiyoumuppet I think thats lovely, that you think of her all this time, and tragic that someone obviously so young died in such an unplesant way, but if she`s looking down from heaven above, she will be so happy that her boyfriend then, still remembers her. I think your a Gem I really do !

  • Superb song - shame they aren't live - poor miming. Should have been megastars.

  • So many good songs in the late 60s early 70s form like White Plains,Flowerpot Men,,The Hollies,Beach Boys,The Cats,Vanity Fare The Casuals and so much more,a time when there were good songwriters penning such good tunes

  • hernmosa cancion fulll vibrante

  • so good to hear this. Got the greatest hits downloaded recently and took me back to the 60's with so much great music. God I wish they were together now. Steve Ellis is quality . Wonder what he is doing now

  • Steve Ellis was the first "Mod" I fell in love with I wrote his name all over my school books posters all over my bedroom wall.. I went to Baileys In Hanley stoke on trent to see him .. nearly got thrown out for pushing to the front.. it was my first ever concert i was sooo excited.. I love the line there was something warm about you that leaves me sad without you did you have to go... he lingered on the s ..... ssssomething it still gets to me now.. thanx for the memories

  • @soulsissal So envy you, did you see the film Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore?, theres a scene there that could have been made for you. lol...And I also adored Steve Ellis, and still do !

  • I was only 12 then,god,how i envied Steve's good looks !!! Was and still is a God to me !!!!

  • Sensational Steve Ellis. Great song...

  • Great voice (cf Steve Marriott)

  • Been humming this all day, but couldn't remember the title - have now thanks to Wikipedia. Happy memories of the 60's

  • I saw The Love Affair live in Glasgow in the late sixties & some of my friends & I sneaked out of school the next day & went to their hotel near Queens Park to get their autographs, which I still have. they were so lovely to us 15 year olds & i've had a soft spot for Steve Ellis ever since & still get goose bumps when I hear the songs :)

  • I still have the 45, with "I'm Happy" on the B side. It is in so-so condition but I digitzed both sides and with a fair amount of manual editing, both songs play nice and clean.

  • Aye .. from the days when we ruled the world with pop music and many other things .. we had a fantastic creative talent base for the size of the country ..

  • This great video is one that always stirs emotions

  • About 18 years ago I got a cassette along with Q magazine with 60's hits. This was once of them. Finally I found it in YouTube. Brilliant.

  • Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Takes me back to such happy times. Thanks a million for sharing this superb clip!!!

  • Terrific clip! Steve Ellis rules! Right up there with the best Brit R&B vocalists. I am unanimous in that!

Who is the familiar face on keyboard who replaced Lynton Guest? I know the face, the name is just a drink away! More later....

  • I just remembered, it's Morgan Fisher on keyboard.

  • @aleecat75 The person on keyboards is Morgan Fisher.

  • @kapishma Hi there, you know in the video? later they have just their heads shown, can you tell me if the lad on the top right is Morgan Fisher please?

  • @aleecat75 That's one Morgan Fisher - sans that ridiculous Kitchener moustache. lol.

  • @aleecat75 Morgan Fisher ?

  • @DoctorScrumpy Yes indeed!

  • Great one thanks for sending it to me coolitababy.....

  • How great to see this. One of my favourite pop songs of all time. They look so young... such young people creating such a mature sounding record. Superb.
