eascans Socrates and montaigne were married men, most classical chinese philosopher have more than one life, thats however not the point of a philosophical question.
1:47 the host was too kind. Schopenhauer would have spat on her face and said something like "silly little girl, do you not see you are a slave of the will, and that this pathetic thing you call love is only its manifestation!" Ahhh, so lovely.
I wonder what ever happened to Schopenhauer's child?I mean, if the whole point of our actions is the blind urge to reproduce, then the result of this, the offspring, would have to have special significance for him. Right?
Not quite. Please read his essay "On the sufferings of the world" when he says something about that people driven by reason would spare a child from living, since life is a complete dissapointment. I reason very much like Schopenhauer does; thus, I do not want children. I think there are enough morons out there having children, so mine would not be missed.
looking for something from Huserl, Edmund? have I missed an L? trying to construct some rhetoric on phenomenology and L-O-V-E, and cannot find his book, since I moved....

His child died in infancy

@ejgiv The child died very young. Schopenhauer had no children that lived into adulthood, or even adolescence.
