It is interesting that, in the British show, the whole joke was axis v allies, and just like with the WWII era planes, the Germans have totally removed the references to the war. Really shows the differences in perception of the two countries. :)

Some things you say our true, they are trying to entertain theyre audience without tapping on a sensitive subject. Im sure they regret it, but come on they dont have to relate to the war just because the two country's have that history. Its pretty normal that the germans would be sensitive to the subject and if that were the same case for england, whilst i would never shirk the fact it happened, its not worth dwelling on it. i've noticed now why every brit is upset.

after reading nearly all the comments here, the problem is very clear. the brits think we germans are assholes because the german presentors were always saying it was the brits fault etc. But that comes from the subs. the subtitles are okay, but theres not the wittiness in it. what the germans are saying there is said in an ironical voice, which cant be subtitled.
