  • Great footage of the shadow :)

  • Thats what I will doing on Monday at Birmingham Airport!!

  • i saw dat part of birmingham at night when i waz going to ireland it was actually pretty nice lol

  • This runway is right next to my school, I enjoy watching all the planes fly over the trees :)

  • oh my gosh... this was a day before my sister was born,... :P

  • I love the fact that you can watch the planes shadow shrink as it takes off.

  • When i was like 13 years old I always wanted to be an airplane pilot. And my wish came true. ;D

  • trying to work out where the scenery is...I used to live in Sheldon a few years back. Which direction did it take off? Over Marston Green, or Solihuill way?

  • @Gary190tube The plane took off from the nec way and flew off towards the mackadown route

  • memories of cyprus journey

  • Cant wait to go back!!

  • SUBSCRIBE TO ME.

  • Beautiful! Very grateful! xxx

  • thats a very fast take off! haha! amazing! im flying to greece from there, soon!

  • omg i am flying to greece to :P when are you going

  • Lol that looks scary what does it feel like? ive never flown before. does it feel like if ur on the ground like in a bus? or train

  • there is lots of sound. there is no sound on this vid =S but yeah you can feel lots of thrust and its loud not like this vid. its fun

  • does it feel like a roller coaster?

like i dunno how to say this but have u herd of storm force 10 at drayton manor and when u fall down it feels like ur in the air isit like that?

  • yeah you do get that feeling, especially when the aircraft is skimming over clouds or hits turbulence. and especially when it's climbing and landing. that's why my mum hates flying, because of that feeling in your stomach. personally, i think it's the best part of a flight!

  • I love stormforce 10 XD

It's quite loud but tbh you can't feel yourself flying after the take-off. The sign comes on like 'ding' to take your seatbelt off, and it just feels like a train or something. And you can't really feel the landing ;]

  • Thanks 4 the info lol , made me feel a tiny bit better lool Was u scared the 1st time u flew?

  • The first time I was, but there isn't actually anything to be scared about. It's actually really safe and stuff, and the air-stewardesses are nice too. I think the only bad part is the food XD

  • not really ohh its soo cool u'l love it !

  • Comete una mierda Pete. Gilipollas.

  • Oh good ,glad to hear your acount is closed

  • what airline is that good vid :)

  • Yipee i can see my house

  • i think its okies lol

  • it is big enough to warrant an underground system especially if it included the conurbation (ie: w'hampton, dudley, walsall, stourbridge, west brom. etc.). although it would be VERY expensive.

  • Dude nice vid :P im flying from birmingham this year. wish me luck ^^ :)

  • wow thanks for the vid im goin on a plane soon i know it will b my 1st time but who cares im scrared of planes in case they crash but the way u flimed this n the view i cnt wait!!!A112122eN4- cont.. • A112122eN4- cont.. Birmingham in the UK (according to several internet sources, such as wikipedia (im aware this has flaws but for the most part its probably accurate) and the local government figures) had 1,008,000 at the last census for the city proper and 2.6 million for the metropiltan area (the West Midlands conurbation) which includes cities like Coventry and Wolverhampton. Birmingham, UK (which im visiting today!)I would recommend. Id also like to visit our American namesake. Best wishes

  • i love taking off

  • lol i was on that plane on the way to span x.D

  • how can you possibly know that?

  • All i could make out was Chelmsley Wood or was it Castle Vale. Where was ya gooing.

  • I can see the pub from here!!!

  • i can see my house in this video :)

  • what plane was this?

  • Flymonarch Airbus A321-231.

    How i know ?

Well Watch the shadow, You can clearly see the typical 200Series Airbus Arrow Shaped Winglets on the Wings, The shape of the Aircraft is the same size area of a 757 but looks like an airbus so it must be an A321, And This would be Flymonarch Flight ZB970 Earliy Morning Departure. Also the shallow Growl from the engines indicate that they must be IAE V2500 Because CFM56 Have a louder and more distintive Growl Sound.

So this is an Monarch A321.

  • great

  • I have been reading about plans for a Birmingham underground system. Does anyone know if and when that will go ahead? its about time Brum had an underground. Liverpool and Glasgow do and they are smaller cities.

  • True, maybe then I'd be able to get to school on time, not an hour late thanks do the damn buses...

  • theres no point brum isnt big enough to warrant an underground system yo can walk across the city centre in 20 mins

  • irateradio- fair enough, but Amsterdam, Glasgow, Liverpool and some other cities with smaller populations do. I think the proposal was in order to ease traffic congestion in central Birmingham, but I appreciate it would be a hugely expensive project.

  • good video. i am terrified of flying lol what on earth is the noise at 1.07??? omg i was holding onto my desk here eheheh

    x

  • the flaps being retracted.

    Nothing to worry about

  • thank you x

  • I didn't know flight from Newark flew into Birmingham. I know they fly to Heathrow

  • the-best

  • thats where i landed for holidays from canada, my nan lives in cov

  • wow i can see my house

  • not. lol

  • yes ur rite. my aunty lives at bak of airport

  • in alabama right

  • nah england

  • the3idiots14- Birmingham, England has four times the population of Birmingham, Alabama. Its a more important city so im surprised you've never heard of it.

  • hey um ive heard of it and the one in alabama is more important we used to make steel and iron and much more

  • alphabetsoup223-really?; Birmingham, UK was the tool box of the world. I've nothing against Birmingham, Alabama but it hasn't held a G8 Summit for a start. Nor is it the second city of a great nation. Birmingham, Alabama may have good points, but they are in completely different category.

  • Birmingham is the 2nd biggest city after london.

Birmingham in Alabama is like the 20th Biggest city in america.

  • and no it doesnt have 4 times the population were 4 times the size too and alphabetsoup is right

  • the3idiots14- Really, you need to get your facts right otherwise people will take your username literally. It is a fact that Birmingham, England has a city population of about 1 million. Birmingham, Alabama is about 243,000. Do the maths! By the way, Birmingham, Alabama was named after Birmingham, England.

  • It is true that Birmingham, Alabama was named after Birmingham, England. At one time, Birmingham, Alabama was one of the premiere steel-making cities in the United States (behind only Pittsburgh in that regard). However, in the 1970s, steelmaking became less important in the local economy of Birmingham, and by 1980 had been displaced by healthcare.

I won't comment on population numbers at this time until I can obtain those figures.

  • A11212e2n4- Hey I didn't mean to underrate Birmingham, AL as a city im sure its a great place and aside from its industrial importance, I know it had a key role in the civil rights movement. I was just frustrated at the3idiots14 ignorance. In regard to my population figures they are taken from numerous sources including official population censuses. I believe Birmingham, AL has a metropolitan area over 1 million- but in demographics I consider that to be separate from the city proper. Cont..

  • did you see the other day that birminghams government gave out hundreds of thousands of leaflets to its people thanking its people for meeting its recycling target, but put birmingham alabamas skyline instead, haha lol it was on the news, they look quite similar mind i like birmingham nice place btw

  • I didn't hear about that, but I'm sure if I still lived in Birmingham, Alabama, I would have heard about.

  • cool

  • Oi ppl hu givs a shit was tha beoing ov an airoplane is wat are ya... fanniz

  • i think its a b757 because of the nose and the fuselage the landing gear are bigger than an a 320 or a321

  • Boeing 757-200 for sure, just wondering is this the continental 757 to newark.

  • fuck you prick they can do whatever they want we arnt all rent boys like you now are we m8

  • actually i think its an a321

  • I actually believe it maybe an a320, check the wintips on the shadow, plus it looks a bit short for a 757. Noise maybe flaps, or just vibration.

  • cna some1 tell me the very odd noice at 1:06

  • The noise at 1:06 is the engine power reduction by the pilots to reduce environment noise etc. (International requirement).

  • that sound like cfm 56 5E, but by the shadow it looks like a boeing 757-200, RB211 engines lol

  • yes it's safe. i flew on a continental a few days back to newyork and was a great flight lol you got nothing to worry about

  • is this airport safe after watchin trevor mcdonald did da investigation about security and drug lords that work at this airport

  • A320

  • nope 757

  • i love flying

  • Great to see the old place,my old home town and to hear those whining engines on climb,i have come and gone many times to and from AUS.

  • well done brum great video although i have never flown it was wonderfull to see

  • nice, from that video i can tell you that...you was on a 757..lol

and i can see my house! right there! lol

  • Yeap! Looks and sounds like a 757. Not to mention the steep climb.
