trying to work out where the scenery is...I used to live in Sheldon a few years back. Which direction did it take off? Over Marston Green, or Solihuill way?
yeah you do get that feeling, especially when the aircraft is skimming over clouds or hits turbulence. and especially when it's climbing and landing. that's why my mum hates flying, because of that feeling in your stomach. personally, i think it's the best part of a flight!
It's quite loud but tbh you can't feel yourself flying after the take-off. The sign comes on like 'ding' to take your seatbelt off, and it just feels like a train or something. And you can't really feel the landing ;]
The first time I was, but there isn't actually anything to be scared about. It's actually really safe and stuff, and the air-stewardesses are nice too. I think the only bad part is the food XD
it is big enough to warrant an underground system especially if it included the conurbation (ie: w'hampton, dudley, walsall, stourbridge, west brom. etc.). although it would be VERY expensive.

A112122eN4- cont.. Birmingham in the UK (according to several internet sources, such as wikipedia (im aware this has flaws but for the most part its probably accurate) and the local government figures) had 1,008,000 at the last census for the city proper and 2.6 million for the metropiltan area (the West Midlands conurbation) which includes cities like Coventry and Wolverhampton. Birmingham, UK (which im visiting today!)I would recommend. Id also like to visit our American namesake. Best wishes

Well Watch the shadow, You can clearly see the typical 200Series Airbus Arrow Shaped Winglets on the Wings, The shape of the Aircraft is the same size area of a 757 but looks like an airbus so it must be an A321, And This would be Flymonarch Flight ZB970 Earliy Morning Departure. Also the shallow Growl from the engines indicate that they must be IAE V2500 Because CFM56 Have a louder and more distintive Growl Sound.
I have been reading about plans for a Birmingham underground system. Does anyone know if and when that will go ahead? its about time Brum had an underground. Liverpool and Glasgow do and they are smaller cities.
irateradio- fair enough, but Amsterdam, Glasgow, Liverpool and some other cities with smaller populations do. I think the proposal was in order to ease traffic congestion in central Birmingham, but I appreciate it would be a hugely expensive project.
the3idiots14- Birmingham, England has four times the population of Birmingham, Alabama. Its a more important city so im surprised you've never heard of it.
alphabetsoup223-really?; Birmingham, UK was the tool box of the world. I've nothing against Birmingham, Alabama but it hasn't held a G8 Summit for a start. Nor is it the second city of a great nation. Birmingham, Alabama may have good points, but they are in completely different category.
the3idiots14- Really, you need to get your facts right otherwise people will take your username literally. It is a fact that Birmingham, England has a city population of about 1 million. Birmingham, Alabama is about 243,000. Do the maths! By the way, Birmingham, Alabama was named after Birmingham, England.
It is true that Birmingham, Alabama was named after Birmingham, England. At one time, Birmingham, Alabama was one of the premiere steel-making cities in the United States (behind only Pittsburgh in that regard). However, in the 1970s, steelmaking became less important in the local economy of Birmingham, and by 1980 had been displaced by healthcare.
I won't comment on population numbers at this time until I can obtain those figures.
A11212e2n4- Hey I didn't mean to underrate Birmingham, AL as a city im sure its a great place and aside from its industrial importance, I know it had a key role in the civil rights movement. I was just frustrated at the3idiots14 ignorance. In regard to my population figures they are taken from numerous sources including official population censuses. I believe Birmingham, AL has a metropolitan area over 1 million- but in demographics I consider that to be separate from the city proper. Cont..

I actually believe it maybe an a320, check the wintips on the shadow, plus it looks a bit short for a 757. Noise maybe flaps, or just vibration.

cna some1 tell me the very odd noice at 1:06

The noise at 1:06 is the engine power reduction by the pilots to reduce environment noise etc. (International requirement).
