This ball is a complete disgrace. I am like the third best goalkeeper in England and I can't even stop this thing. A buddy of mine kicked a slow roller to me and I completely muffed it in front of billions of people. Now people in my country will never forgive me for this. And it wasn't even my fault! IT WAS THE BALL!!! It dipped and swerved and I could only get my fingertips on it. I hate this ball. Now James will be the goalkeeper for England but I bet he can't stop this thing either.

ive seen some really good free kicks by japan and just today by diego forlan and they curved perfectly. i don't think they were luck

Of course they weren't luck. If a player adapts his technique properly he should be able to curl the ball. The ball is designed to maintain its spin more in the air, but it also moves forward quicker so the "curl" is less noticeable. The design also makes it difficult to apply the spin in the first place. I suspect that the way to get more curl is to kick the ball less hard. As the ball moves so quickly anyway cos of reduced drag, it isn't necessary to hit it so hard anyway

Why does the goalie keep jumping the wrong direction?

@Xraller The goalie has to choose a direction before the shot is taken. A good shot will take under a second to hit the back of the net. If the goalie waits untill the guy shoots to choose a direction, it will most likely be too late.
