  • I am a licenced single engine pilot (PPL(A)), glider pilot (GPL(A)), paragliding pilot. I am also mechanical engineer. So don't worry, I have some experience. I want to built this for my heart and soul.

I wanted to buy Radne engine but I have to know what other constructors are using. Thanks for the info. and concern.

  • @melejernej Don't fool yourself. It doesn't matter your experience with other aircraft. Unless you have thousands and thousands of flights with a powered paraglider don't even think for one second about building your own. 99% of the injuries & deaths are caused because of stupid stuff you just can't know until you have thousands and thousands of flights. It just isn't worth it. I know it is fun to think about but don't do it. Just get a Flat Top. Then in thousands of flights give feedback.

  • @melejernej WARNING FLAT TOP UNCERTIFIED HARNESSES ARE FAILING!!!!!!!!!!

FLAT TOP FRAMES ARE BREAKING!!!!!!!! COMFORT BARS ECT

You will not be told about the failures or these harnesses and will have to find out about the problem when it happens to you. Dealers have had problems shared by all hidden by the manufacturer including broken frames, comfort bars breaking off starting problems and numerous other issues. CHECK YOUR FRAME JUST BELOW THE VELCRO ON MAIN FRAME. CHECK YOURS NOW!!!

  • What type of engine do you have on this trike? I would like to know because I am building one for myself. So I am interested in manufacturer, power, RPM, ... Is Trike made with aluminium or out of stainless steele.

    Thanks.

  • @melejernej Don't build your own unit. That is a horribly bad plan fine sir unless you have thousands of flights and understand completely how everything needs to be in order to prevent all the things that could and would go wrong if you didn't know how to prevent them. The engine is the Simonini. That's currently the best engine on the market.

  • hey, what is the k2, and is this different from the ones from TrikeBuggy?

  • @screwOffYaWanker The K2 is the biggest advancement in the history of paragliders. It offers more performance and safety to pilots than any glider in the history of the sport. The K2 freaking rules!! Yes it is waaaaaay better than the average wing. Give me a call anytime and I'll be happy to tell you all the exact detailed differences between it and any of the other 200+ makes & models of paragliders we carry. Call 801-631-1731 or 800-707-2525

  • Dell I bought a edel poweratlas last year it was a huge improvement over my former wing. the xl poweratlas cost 2000.00 and list for 2850.00

how much more improved would would a u-turn obsession be and what would it cost me?

  • There would be a huge different on that one fine sir. The Obsession is the highest performance DHV 1-2 glider on the market right now. I can do switchy SATs on it and that was with the big 31sm size. The thing is incredible. The glide ratio sets an all new standard for the DHV 1-2 catagory. Give me a call and I'll get you one to try. 801-631-1731 Dell

  • Looks like more fun than using your feet for landing gear...

  • Hey Dell I dont know of any glider with that kind of glide ratio but maybe there is one as you said . I have to assume that 98% of the people flying trikes ppg will be useing a novice or dhv 1-2 wing .25 hp or more should be used for trikes to fly people 150 or more

pounds. what motor is it you have that will burn less than one gallon per hr. didnt see those pedals? ricster.

  • The new Obsession from U-Turn is a DHV 1-2 certified glider and it has a glide ratio of 8.6:1. It is touted as the highest performance DHV 1-2 glider on the market and will best most of the DHV 2 gliders I've seen. It will also better the minimum calculations I stated below. Try one, you will be amazed. With the most efficent setup on the Simonini I placed second in an efficency competition and did it on a small Atis.

  • Range of hundreds of miles ? not! here's a more likely scenario @ a likely speed of average 33 mph and a fuel burn of 1.3-1.5 gal per hr.you

would need 8 gallons of fuel. that is assuming

that all conditions are optimal including wings. flat top paramotors are probably in the top two or three motors out there and word of mouth will sell those suckers like hot cakes. the trike needs a steerable front end or scrap it. 10 gal fuel tanks are illeagle Ricster-out

  • You should try a comp glider like the one in the video. Check out that glide ratio. Today's comp gliders get between 9.5-10.5:1. The dual tanks will run between 4-6 hours. It takes about 10 minutes to climb up a mile, then if you shut off the motor you will glide 8-10 miles given no wind. Even at the minimums you get about 200 miles of range. Yes you can steer the front wheel with both the steering pedals and the individual rear brakes.

  • Looks like it is extremely responsive. I bet you sell alot to aviators who don't want to mess with the whole Sport Pilot thing. Awesome machine, Dell
