NCAA is a fun arcade style game. This isn't simulation. The movement and running is so unrealistic. Football players don't skate when they run. Locomotion is a disgrace.

i realy wish ea could get a copyright at least for there NCAA football games. it would realy make things alot better, not only have names but more equipment options and have each player dressed out in there equipent they usually were. take my team alabama for example, or any other team realy, im so tired of the star players like mark ingram or sum1 having a schutt standard helmet and white elbow pads. honestly I agree with you all 100% at how garbage the replay looks.. but if you actually knew.. IN-GAME play as oppose to the actual replay is extremely different... the replays look like shit.. but in-game is better.. trust me.
I've played the demo.A lot of the issues w/ last years game still there nano,Strange non contact type animations drops and I know its a game and all but the facts are the facts if your gonna get online w/ this you better have some game plan for nano blitzes and the like.its game play like this that makes the game good offline but horrible online.
@LaMarr37 I'm hoping this has to do with the demo build being a couple of months old. The collision detection is a bit off, and there's lots of noticeable clipping (especially on replays). I'll be looking forward to what Pasta has to say about it (difference between demo and final version). I have to say though, I've been pretty impressed by the demo (maybe it's because I had low expectations). Overall it feels like the best NCAA since 06, and possibly even 2004.

this game looks tacky compared to Backbreaker. Seriously, EA Sports just lost in football videogaming. And the sad part is 505 can't even use real teams and players, yet the gaming engine is #1 hands down for football.
@DawgcityClev EA Sports has released some pretty bad football games since switching to the new consoles (Madden 10 is the only decent one, IMO). Having said that, Backbreaker licks fucking balls. Real-time physics don't mean much when the CPU AI is worse than Tecmo Bowl for the NES.

what's amazing to me is its pretty obvious EA is stepping up their animation and mechanics here, but what backbreaker did in one shot is still a lot better.
notice how the Wisconsin's safety tried to pick up the WR after being passed off from his CB? The WR went underneath and does a double move. I know that a safety can be fooled and burn like that, but at least make an animation where he's actually trying to cover the WR and falls down or something. Don't make it to where he just turns around an just let him go. Make the safety show some attempt!!!

its the year 2010 and we still have EA putting the same game out year after year after year only with roster updates. if you asked me, we should already be playing a game that looks exactly like the real thing on gameday. EA wouldn't stand a chance if 2k was still making football games.

The graphics look great as usual but much like every year, the unrealistic robotic movements absolutely kill it for me. Why the last gen version still has smoother, more fluid gameplay than this gen is beyond me.

giving ea outright control over nfl games was just like giving them a license to suck, look at the players when they make cuts, and they all run the same, there's no since of athleticism when you see this. Taking NCAA 11 and Madden 11 of of my list of things to preorder.

You are supposed to advertise your best works. Or maybe it was spotted by the devs and deemed as acceptable? Maybe that trailer was from an alpha build and it will be fixed in time for its release.

This game will have its flaws, face it. lol its EA Sports... But they did a good job at making it LOOK realistic.. New Gear, helmets, cleats etc. Which is huge for me. And the movement seems a little better. I read a forum about how EA is using the Locomotion that madden used. ( now if ncaa gameplay is like madden, it will be fucking great.)

If you look at the locomotion clip you'll understand why the animation looks unrealistic. Those guys in the suits look like they've never played ball in their lives and if they did it had to have been in Pop Warner. I can see why the players run like they're retarted!!!! Come on Man!!!
I love when Brantley is scrambling, throws it to the receiver, and you see the receiver continuing to run while NOT looking back at the QB or the ball. At the last second, he magically knows the ball is there, turns his head and catches it.

I watched this video and im not gonna comment about how bad the animations look or how eerily simialr this game looks like NCAA 10. All i have to say is that, that is if not the worst, one of the WORST spin move animations (0:52) that i've ever seen in a sports game.
This game looks basically the same as far as overall animations go, still needs a lot of work. Somehow the helmets continue to get worse. Notre Dame's helmets are gold, yet in this clip they look off-white to yellow in color and have no reflection whatsoever. LOL, someone even commented thinking it was Pitt, that's how bad it is. The spin move by the Illinois player was terrible. This game needs to drastically improve, hopefeully the refs and ESPN stuff they are adding can compensate.
has promise. still needs some work though. The WR cuts need work. some of them aren't even planting a foot to change direction, they're bodies just turn. You can see the animations initiate and the players are look like they are floating/gliding in a few shots. but I have faith that it will all be good by the time the final game comes out.
Meh just saw this on MrOperationSports they are still gliding all over the field and they still cant get their running down it looks awkward when they run at full speed
this games movements looks like theyre thought out before it happens...they havent fixed the problems...thats why this game is boring...they only add new features and improve th graphics

lol, it still looks like last years game. gameplay wise and visually. Looks like i'll probably be getting it anyway, just cause i like football. Well I rent it first, same with madden. I hope it changes a little bit, ea is getting a little stale.

giving ea outright control over nfl games was just like giving them a license to suck, look at the players when they make cuts, and they all run the same, there's no since of athleticism when you see this. Taking NCAA 11 and Madden 11 of of my list of things to preorder.

@amazingman40 I know, to say that looked horrible would be an understatement. How could something like this not only get past the devs, but the marketing team also. You are supposed to advertise your best works. Or maybe it was spotted by the devs and deemed as acceptable? Either way, this just further lets me know that EA sees nothing wrong with certain aspects of their game that really need attention. Maybe that trailer was from an alpha build and it will be fixed in time for its release.

a whole lot of sliding goin on! foot plants show no weight to it. looks like everyone is running on ice. ea will never get it right. they always overlook that. watch the feet on every run.

This game will have its flaws, face it. lol its EA Sports... But they did a good job at making it LOOK realistic.. New Gear, helmets, cleats etc. Which is huge for me. And the movement seems a little better. I read a forum about how EA is using the Locomotion that madden used. ( now if ncaa gameplay is like madden, it will be fucking great.)

i haven't bought an ncaa football game since ncaa 07 so now that ncaa football 11 is almost out it will be the greatest football game ever for me....and for others it will probably feel like ncaa 10! lol

If you look at the locomotion clip you'll understand why the animation looks unrealistic. Those guys in the suits look like they've never played ball in their lives and if they did it had to have been in Pop Warner. I can see why the players run like they're retarted!!!! Come on Man!!!

I love when Brantley is scrambling, throws it to the receiver, and you see the receiver continuing to run while NOT looking back at the QB or the ball. At the last second, he magically knows the ball is there, turns his head and catches it.
This looks like the same junk EA has been putting out for the last 4 years.

I watched this video and im not gonna comment about how bad the animations look or how eerily simialr this game looks like NCAA 10. All i have to say is that, that is if not the worst, one of the WORST spin move animations (0:52) that i've ever seen in a sports game.

This game looks basically the same as far as overall animations go, still needs a lot of work. Somehow the helmets continue to get worse. Notre Dame's helmets are gold, yet in this clip they look off-white to yellow in color and have no reflection whatsoever. LOL, someone even commented thinking it was Pitt, that's how bad it is. The spin move by the Illinois player was terrible. This game needs to drastically improve, hopefeully the refs and ESPN stuff they are adding can compensate.

has promise. still needs some work though. The WR cuts need work. some of them aren't even planting a foot to change direction, they're bodies just turn. You can see the animations initiate and the players are look like they are floating/gliding in a few shots. but I have faith that it will all be good by the time the final game comes out.
