would it be incorrect to remove everyone from the ntfs acl and grant FC to the salesgroup? Microsoft makes the sharing examples so extra complicated when even in the manual they refer that it is "best practice" to always grant share FC and then adjust ntfs to the required permissions

@kirazakichn Yes you are correct he did the last part wrong. On the Sales share he should have removed all entries and added Everyone: Full Control (same like the Company share) and then on the Security tab of the share he should have granted SalesUser (not SalesGroup) NTFS rights to Modify.
