Sorry to see Colaiacovo go down, I've always liked him as a D-man, but he really needs to stop giving his body that kind of beating. Also, you're right, Ovechkin definitely deserves MVP. The only reason the Caps are where they are is because of him, while the Penguins are stocked with a massive amount of young talent (Crosby, Malkin, Staal, to name a few). I believe Ovechkin is one of the most underappreciated players (if you think proportionate to skill).
Huge Leafs fan here, and I'm sorry to say, but I'm pretty sure their playoff hopes were dead after that key loss to the Sabres a week or so ago. Even though they won tonight, and the Bruins are stone cold, the other 3 teams that stand in their way are playing alright, and unless they have some key losses, the Leafs aren't going to make it.

Even though I cheer for Montreal and hate the Leafs because of the rivalry between those 2 teams, I would really like the leafs to make the playoff so that fans could see Toronto VS Montreal in the playoffs... which I think are the best matches because of the physical play and because the score is always tight.

The Hart Trophy is given to the player deemed most valuable to his team. I hate to say it, but Ovechkin fills that and more. Without Ovechkin, the Caps would be terrible. Another player that could get it is Brodeur, maybe. Because without a good goalie, their offense is sub-par, so between him and Ovechkin. Congrats to Stajan, Toskala and Stralman. This win was so surprising. I didn't expect it at all. They have to win their next three against Ottawa and the back to back with Boston. Go Leafs Go

Even though I cheer for Montreal and hate the Leafs because of the rivalry between those 2 teams, I would really like the leafs to make the playoff so that fans could see Toronto VS Montreal in the playoffs... which I think are the best matches because of the physical play and because the score is always tight.

u wanna hear somethin funny? i gave up on the leafs when they lost 5 - 1 , then i REALLY lost it when we got shalacked by the sabres 6 - 2. finally, i started "beleafing" after this game. and so did the leaf nation that went to the other side of the QEW to that game. btw, the 300 theme is just like you imagined by nine inch nails and i agree. IT IS COOL!!! GO LEAFS GO!!!

It was a very very solid game, Toaskala played FANTASTIC, So did Stajan, Though The Leafs I think are done.. no offense, I'm a leafs fan myself, but look,everybody infront of them is winning... they need a team like Philly to hit the tank

The bad thing is that its not just that we're behind the bruins by 5 points, its that caps, panthers are as hot as the leafs and have an easier schedule in their shitty ass division

The Hart Trophy is given to the player deemed most valuable to his team. I hate to say it, but Ovechkin fills that and more. Without Ovechkin, the Caps would be terrible. Another player that could get it is Brodeur, maybe. Because without a good goalie, their offense is sub-par, so between him and Ovechkin. Congrats to Stajan, Toskala and Stralman. This win was so surprising. I didn't expect it at all. They have to win their next three against Ottawa and the back to back with Boston. Go Leafs Go

I doubt we'll make the playoffs...but hey, they're playing good hockey right now. Stajan did incredible. Steen's been great. Toskala's been amazing. They've really stepped it up without Mats.
We're not getting Stamkos, I've accepted it. I'm not gonna sit here and wish for them to tank cuz we're not getting him. The draft has so much talent this year, we'll get a good guy.
Our PK tonight almost made me cry...it was THAT good. They did great. Let's do the same to the Sens!

here's my premise; they have to catch boston who are 5 in front, we have 2 more games against those shitkickers. Thats 4 potential points we can gain on em. Throw in a Toronto win and a Beantown loss and there it is, a 1 point lead.
