HOW can you 'dislike' this? If you can please link me to a better version on youtube I would like to hear it! I know Judy Loman's Naxos recording is fantastic but as far as one take, live perfromances go (not including Moretti, which is fabulous but clearly edited) this is by FAR the best. His musicianship is sublime and superior to all other performances.
This guy is really the first harpist since Grandjany that understands how to play a phrase. He not only has a great technique, never plays with an ugly tone like most harpists, but actually understands a singing, breathing phrase. It is about time a harpist came along that is the whole package. Pianist do it, but unfortunately all but one harpist does. Young harpist need to listen to musicians like Arthur Rubinstein, Leon Fleisher or Murray Perahia, if they don’t want to be a sewing machine.
