While I am sure there is a reason why atheists don't fly airplanes into buildings, is there a reason why atheistic regimes killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century?
#9 isn't going to work. People will just respond that air and thoughts are invisible, which I know that they are not really or they can be observed. but someone driving in their car may come to that conclusion and go on their merry way.
These are all really cool! But number 3 is just too much. People are still really sensitive about 9/11. The point of an atheist billboard is to encourage people to research and help fellow atheists come out. There is no point to #3 other than being rude and offensive.
@ImpressiveCharlatan I think it's an excellence point to make. No one is going to convince me to fly into a building. And that was more than a decade ago. People being sensitive about it is offensive to me. If I died right now, no one would still be bitching about it a decade from now. Were those people somehow more important than me?
Dawkins came up with the best billboard; The time has come for people of reason to say Enough is Enough. Religious faith discourages independent thought. It is divisive and it is dangerous. (Twin towers smoking as backdrop)
Really funny! If jesu$ was against most of the Old Testment, it (it, I don't believe this guy was a real person)was against his own father! They say "god has only one word, but seems he's been changing hi$ word all the times.
You chri$tian$ are a bunch of nonsense ppl! You say "yes" to the Old Testament when it's nice for your believes and then, you just spite in it when it's against your "christianity".You are not "christians"-you're Paulo's(former Saulo) followers-another schizo,as Abraham was.
@joferbrasil i agree with you that christianity changes too frequently to suit peoples desires, hence the state of christianity today...you have sodom and gomorrah, and gay clergy, wtf??? i am a muslim, and my holy scriptures has stayed word perfect from its revelation 1400 years ago. Abraham (pbuh) was aslo a true muslim as he believed in the one true mighty creator as we do..Christianity today is nothing like Jesus (pbuh) preached it unfortunatly.
@ashisonline100 My opinion is:religion was madeto control ppl.I don't need a so called "god" or its words to command me to act like a decent human being! If you or anyone need to follow a religious pattern, you're susceptible to follow those who has the "power of the word." The so-called "word" can always be manipulated at the whim of those who read and interpret. Abraham,Muhammad or Joseph Smith and all ppl that "listen to voices" or have "visions" suffer from the same disease: schizophrenia!
@joferbrasil your entitled to your own opinion buddy, but take into consideration that this is a one time short test.Prophets and messengers duty was to relay the message to humankind to worship your creator who gives you everything when you had nothing. its your choice wether to accept it or not.
@ashisonline100 OK,I don't accept! If I consider there is a"creator" just 'cause its written in books,I should to accept that super heroes are real-according to DC Comics,Marvel, etc and its universe.I should to accept all the Nordic, Egypt,Roman,Greek,Celtic,Hindu and all of mitologic gods. And even Armadillo,a kind of god that natives from my country pray to get a good cassava's harvest! You just accept a god that fits your own imagination...but its your choice. My imagination doesn't go so far...
@ashisonline100 Sahih Bukhari, 1:6:315-Narrated by Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, "At every womb Allah appoints an angel who says, 'O Lord! A drop of semen, O Lord! A clot. O Lord! A little lump of flesh." Then if Allah wishes (to complete) its creation, the angel asks, (O Lord!) Will it be a male or female, a wretched or a blessed, and how much will his provision be? And what will his age be?' So all that is written while the child is still in the mother's womb." Why test us?
@kuttenkijker impressed by your research. Predestination, or Qadr in arabic has been debated by many scholars, but is quite simple to understand. God knows everything, beggining, end, wretched or blessed. We are made to live out our choices and intentions in this life so that on the day of judgment we cannot say that God was unjust to us in what he decides of our fate. Allah, Glory be to he, is not restrained by time and space as we are.
@ashisonline100 Sahih Muslim, Bk. #037, Hadith #6622-Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. So Allah wants us to sin? Good thing that Satan seduced Adam and Eve, formerly known as Atum and Tefnut.
@kuttenkijker When one repents to Allah/God sincerley, he humbles himself and begs forgiveness and acknoledges his weaknesses and Gods right over him. This in essence is true worship. If humankind was perfect and did not commit sins there would be no need to repent, which can inturn cause one to become arrogant and to think he is self sufficient. All sons of Adam sin but the best sinner is the one who repents and draws closer to God.
@ashisonline100 Adam is Atum and Eve is Tefnut, they are from the ancient Egyptian mythology, the story is not an exact copy, but with a little translation of the story you would see a similarity. Tefnut, was said to come forth out of Atum. One of her Mesopotamian nicknames was Nin-ti, meaning “Lady Life,” or “The Lady (Who Makes) Live.” S.N. Kramer states that ti is also the Sumerian word for “rib,” therefore Nin-ti could variously be interpreted as “the Lady of the Rib.”
@kuttenkijker What you say correlates with the islamic perspective relayed by Muhammad (pbuh) about Adam and huwa(Eve). This just confirms the version of events further, as possibly all the prophets of God would have been aware of this. From islam we also learn that there has been approx 24000 prophets in history, each being sent to his own nation. So its hardely suprising ancient egyptians were aware of this also.
@ashisonline100 Tefnut and her husband Shu were the children of Atum who created them by masturbating. Does this anything looks like what is in the Bible or the Quran?
@kuttenkijker Jews in their hatred of Prophets believe the mother of Jesus (pbuh) comited adultery, and that he was and illegitimate child, which christians and muslims disagree on. The point in narratives have been known to be corrupted by individuals or nations as whole, and the life of Adam and Eve is the oldest narration therfore open to most corruption."He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it"(3:3)
@ashisonline100 In Q 20:124/125 we can read that unbelievers will be raised up blind on the Day of Judgement. Q 20:125, the unbeliever asked why he was raised up blind, while he had sight before. Q 17:13/14 makes it clear that Allah is talking about every man’s fate, so these verses indicate that every human would be raised up as seeing and that they would read their “record”. Can you explain this contradiction?
@kuttenkijker The greatest blessing ever for anyone will be to caste their eyes on their creator Allah. If you disblelived in God during your life why should you be entitled to this great blessing also? as far reading as your book of deeds is concerned, "and it is He Who is Able to do all things. S. 22:6", so why is it not possible for God to make your sight only for viewing your deeds??? there is no contradiction, only you underestimate Allah power greatly.
@ashisonline100 Quran 2:256-Starts with....There is no compulsion in religion.
Quran 3:85-And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers . What about this contradiction.
@ApolloWasReal Yes, that's because of this, Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 83, Number 17 :Narrated by 'Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims."
@kuttenkijker A religion that equates apostasy and adultery with murder is not exactly benign. But that's not just Islam. Catholicism does the same.
This is a feature of religion, not a bug. Their texts are so ambiguous that everyone gets to project their own personal prejudices onto them. Instead of having to answer for those prejudices, they can pretend they're only following the dictates of their religion.
@ApolloWasReal All religions are crap, all what they do is propagate hate to the ''other''. I think there is a common factor between Catholicism and Islam. The Catholic church had their Inquisition and Islam have their Shari'a law, both are barbaric and an insult to human decency and values
@kuttenkijker Agreed. There are some differences, though. Christianity has at least had its Enlightenment, while Islam has yet to do so. Most Christian countries now separate church and state, either officially in their constitutions as we do or in practice as in western Europe. What we see now in many Islamic countries is what would happen in the west if the fundies succeed in re-creating the theocracies of medieval Europe.
@ApolloWasReal You got that right. I don't trust that Arab ''spring'', do you? I mean, the muslim brotherhood is financing Hamas, so I don't trust them. I think we will see a war real soon between Egypt and Israel. Iran is working on a nuclear weapon, what will happen if they have it? I think this shit is going to end ugly.
@kuttenkijker We Americans keep making the mistake of thinking that if we just get rid of the one evil dictator (Saddam, etc), a country will suddenly become a modern, prosperous, western democracy that respects individual rights. Even dictatorships can't last without at least the tacit approval of its people, and they are often created by the people themselves. A dictatorial government is the symptom of the problem, not the problem itself.
@kuttenkijker lol, quite funny, truth is though that we dont even have to try to assimilate. Islam is built on principles and ideologys that attract people, despite all the bad media coverage. In america approx 25000 reverts per annum, UK had i believe well over 6000 last year the majority of them women. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds!!!!!!
@ApolloWasReal wow what planet are you writing your comments on?? You really think America has "a modern, prosperous, western democracy that respects individual rights"?? Wake up.. America has no interest in spreading democracy. They only wish to dominate, and will play footsy with ANY dicatorship in order to secure their grip over the world, and get cheap oil..one example, america and the sauds are bum chums despite it being a completley policed state, now why do you think that is????
Is this about apostacy? I don't think so, this is about forcing people to become a muslim, and if they don't want to become a muslim, then they must be killed or pay the Jizya while feel themselves subdued.
@kuttenkijker In fact there is three choices, pay the Jizya, leave the Muslim land, or finally be killed, wich is quite fair if you take time to consider the options. What you need to understand is that Islam implemented correctly creates morally motivated societys. People rarley steal, commit fornication, take drugs etc etc.So if one wishes to live within this atmosphere they must either be a muslim, or pay a fee for the liberty which covers there upkeep/protection in the society.
and please stop saying "force" to become muslim. If i put a gun to your head and told you to believe in God, would you really believe in God, or would you just say ok to get rid of me??? In islam sincerity is everything.
@ashisonline100 If threatening to kill someone for renouncing Islam isn't 'force', then what is force? Why do so many fundamentalist Islamic countries actually prescribe the death penalty for apostasy if, as you claim, sincerity is everything?
Could it be that those in power know that if too many people were to publicly renounce Islam, their own political power would be threatened?
Any religion that relies on that kind of brutal force is thoroughly corrupt.
@ApolloWasReal I believe religion and faith isnt somthing that a person can buy into overnight, then the next day renounce it as and when they feel. This in essence is a mockery of the religion of God and the mercy God bestows on a person for their achieving of faith. One who jumps in and out of religion freely is an obvious hypocrit, and deserves to be punished. True Muslims and Jews/ christians are genrally aware of these rules when professing their fath.
@ashisonline100 Jizya is a fee? No, it's a penalty, a fine. And even if you put a gun to my head, I still wouldn't believe in god 'cause there is no god. You only have to look at human chromosome #2 to know that god didn't create us.
@ashisonline100 Bullshit. You won't convince me that Muslim countries are somehow more "moral" than others when they treat women like property, deny individuals the basic human right to practice (or not) the religion of their choice, and force rape victims to marry their attackers or spend time in prison for adultery. This last one sounds like it could have been an Onion story, but it's reality.
As for fornication, it's none of your business who consenting adults sleep with.
@ApolloWasReal on the topic of women being like property A simple analogy would be, if you had a box full of rubys and diamonds would you go around showing them to everyone, or would you conceal them somwhere safe. Muslims Consider there women to be precious and we guard there dignity for them, whereas non-believers frequently sell there mothers and sisters on TV, in movies, porns, and billboards, using them as sexual objects/property with no shame.
and your right, its none of our business who consenting adults sleep with. Thats why God, had created the blessing of marital relationships. So humans can live like humans and not animals, screwing who they feel when they feel... Promiscuity is undeniably a major cause in degradation to society, causing broken homes, parentless children, sex trade, STD's and genral lewdness and immorality.
@ashisonline100 You're welcome to believe that if you like. It's even your right to express it in speech and text. You are welcome to enjoy your immense sense of satisfaction believing I will go to hell after I die because I reject your religion and all the intolerant barbarism it stands for.
@ApolloWasReal lol, no intention to come anywhere near your bedroom.Your skeletons are your skeletons. As for me achieving satisfaction out of your demise, thats not true. Although we have very different opinions, 'Each of you cannot be a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.'(Muhammad pbuh), so inherently i wish faith and Gods mercy for you.
@ashisonline100 So why does nearly every Islamic country reject separation of church and state and merge its civil laws on Islamic teachings, including its private "moral codes"? Why is apostasy a capital crime? Why is there no concept of the individual right to speak, to assemble and to practice the religion of one's choice or no religion at all?
Or are you distancing yourself from nearly all of your fellow Muslims?
@ApolloWasReal Because secularism leads to societys being ruled and governed by man, then inturn laws are passed which are opposed to religeous commandments set by the allmighty. Man will genrally rule to feed his own vain desires, and this leads to corruption in the land. God created us, he knows what is better for us, and its his right to demand it off us.
‘Umar ibn ul-Khattab, the second Caliph and close companion to the prophet (pbuh), stood on the pulpit one day and addressed people saying: “O people! If you find that I have fallen into corruption… then straighten me.” A Bedouin rose from amongst the people and said: “By Allah! If we find you crooked, we will straighten it with our swords,” yet ‘Umar did not get angry or harbor malice towards him' We deffo have the right to speak especially against corrupt rulers
What you find in current so called Islamic contries is nothing short of greed and hypocrisy. Love for God is a state of the heart, and it does not qualify you as a Muslim just becuase your a ruler of a country.
@ashisonline100 That's exactly my point! Even societies that supposedly follow "god's law" are in fact ruled entirely by humans. They invented religion as a clever way to avoid having to answer for the pure fiction (and often utter barbarism) they've written in their "god's" name. They just pretend to have gotten it from "god" when in fact they made it all up themselves to control other people. A theocracy is an EXTREMELY dangerous form of government.
@ApolloWasReal Your twisting of truth is getting quite tedious. First of all who is "they" when you refer to people inventing religion? As far as i know revelation was always sent to singular prophets each time, leaving no room for a conspiracy as you suggest. Also revelation was sent to lands where disbelievers like yourself formed the majority, and had total rule over the society. Please use facts, and not make belief.
Also in regards to "barbarism", did you know before islam was introduced, the Arabs had a tradition to bury alive there newborn daughters. Allah completley removed this and many more ignorant acts from its "disbelieving" societys by providing them the criterion to act upon, and a messenger sent to teach the world how to live in form with the creators wishes.
@ashisonline100 I should first ask if you are serious. Sarcasm and satire have a way of not coming through in print as intended.
If you are actually serious, I can't think of a better expression of the utter backwardness, even barbarism of Islam than what you just said. You and your misogynistic attitudes belong in the past, forgotten except as an example of the depths of human cultural depravity.
@ashisonline100 Okay, I should have made it clearer that each of our wars has been SOLD to the American public on the premise that overthrowing some dictator (Saddam, Taliban, etc) will make that country just like us overnight. Sarcasm doesn't always come across in print.
That said, it is definitely true that countries like Afghanistan will remain basket cases as long as their people form mobs demanding the execution of apostates from the dominant religion. Not even we do that.
@ApolloWasReal had its enlightenment???, maybe you should look into "islamic golden era" and the establishment of islamic education in Andalucia, in Spain when it was under Muslim Moore rule while western europe was still in its dark ages. Every time you write numbers, realise that if it wasnt for Muslims you would still be writing like MCMXCXCCMVIII.
@ashisonline100 Any golden era Islam may have had has since been completely lost. Anyone who thinks that civil laws and governments should follow the dictates of ANY religion, be it Judiasm, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism or other, is hardly enlightened by any credible meaning of that term.
There's a reason why the US has separation of church and state written into its constitution and why some of its authors, like Thomas Jefferson, consider it their greatest achievement.
@kuttenkijker Apostasy is evidently a most serious crime, as the punishment is so severe in alot of Gods revelations. This is possibly due to the betrayal and ingratitude of the apostate after God has guided him to the truth. Since God is owner of all exsistance, is it not his right to decide whos blood is permissible to spill or not?
@ashisonline100 Okay, and if God himself were to appear and demand the execution of apostates, then maybe you'd actually have a case. Problem is, we only seem to hear about "god's will" from the mouths of human beings claiming to interpret the writings of someone about someone who long ago claimed to have spoken directly with god.
Today, people who claim to talk with god are properly seen as psychotics and schizophenics. You label them "prophets". No dice.
@ApolloWasReal No doubt in the days of the true prophets there were "schizos, and Psychos" falsley claiming to be prophets also. You must be crazy yourself to believe that almost 2 billion people today alone are following a madman. Prophethood has criteria, and they must have qualitys not ordinary in humans...Allah(SWT) says to Muhammamad pbuh “Verily, you are of the noblest of character.” Q68:4., and this was proven continuously in his life time.
@ashisonline100 I'd say the number of people following madmen is much MORE than 2 billion because it includes the followers of ALL religions, not just Muslims. Unfortunately, this insanity seems to be human nature so the best we can do is to create societal safeguards to control the more zealously religious. The biggest such safeguard is the separation of church and state, which even some Christians are trying to demolish. Political power is more intoxicating than alcohol.
@ashisonline100 Did I say I was a Jew or a Christian? This is exactly why I'm an atheist/agnostic, and why NO religion can safely be given control of civil authority. The most barbaric countries on the planet are the theocracies, including most of the Islamic countries.
@ApolloWasReal again wake up and smell the coffe.. The majority of "barbaric" "theocracies" in islamic countries were put into place by western governments, hoping to divide and conquer the previously established khalaifa (proper islamic rule). Why is america in bed with certain regimes, and setting sanctions on others????
@ashisonline100 If I'm not mistaken, Islam has been around since about 700 CE or so, chopping off hands for theft, stoning fornicators and executing apostates long before the modern western countries ever appeared. I certainly won't defend the foreign policy of the US, which ignores the atrocities of even the most barbaric governments (most but not all of which are theocracies) as long as they keep the oil flowing.
@kuttenkijker this isnt a contradiction either. There is no compulsion in religion means that its impossible to force one to become a believer, as belief is a sincere state of the heart. Muslim in defintion is one who submits to Gods will out of belief in him....second part of your comment identifies and segregates worshippers of OTHER dietys besides Allah, the true creator. This is "Shirk", the greatest sin in Islamic monothiesm, as it gives other false dietys Allahs right over his creation.
@ashisonline100 Quran 9:29, that isn't forcing someone to become a muslim? What if someone couldn't pay the Jizya? Then that someone would get killed.
@kuttenkijker God doesn't own anything 'cause there's no god. Tell me, why did they translate Qatiloo as fight in Quran 9:29? It doesn't mean fight but kill.
@kuttenkijker ill give you a simpler way to understand. A teacher has x students, she knows them well, who will pass and who will fail the exam. can the teacher pass or fail the students on her presumptions/knowledge? no this will be unjust...the students must be tested in order to prove to the student themselves that they were a intelligent or a bum,
@ashisonline100 Why should I be tested on my ability to memorize the rantings of a psychotic pedophile who lived > 1300 years ago?
All religions, including Islam, are a purely human invention. They are a very cleverly crafted means of political and social control that exploit natural human fears (like fear of death) and explicitly suppress the main threats to every despot: critical thinking and reason. The results range from almost tolerable to utterly barbaric.
@ApolloWasRea First of all ill warn you that bad mouthing a prophet of God the way you do will bring you nothing but more humiliation, but only somone without a black heart would understand this, so maybe you are a lost cause. If you are so confident in your perveted opinion, go to any muslim and say it to his face, if you have the balls...oh but you only have this confidence hiding behind an internet connections anonymity. Your all talk and no trousers as they say.
Another proof that your full of shite is your lack of knowledge on how religion works. If religion was a "means of political and social control that exploit natural human fears (like fear of death)" how is it possible that im not afraid of death and by your own admittance you are? So in your twisted idea, religion has no controll over me, but has has control over you, the one who rejects faith. This is psychiactric terms is called "insecurity" or "sense of vulnrabilaty".
@ashisonline100 i recon the only reason you say you dont fear death is because you either a) are 100%sure there will be something afterwards as long as you obey your gods rules or b)you are afraid of death, youre simply dennying it since its so distant to you.
Mark my words, when youre on your deathbed you will feel fear.
@Sweddude I can only speak how i feel, and i can honestly say that dying is not that scary, its natural and we ALL must go through with it as "every sould shall taste death". im not trying to sound macho at all. I can tell you that the only real fear i have is standing in front of my lord and not being forgiven for my sins, as God allmighty is the only one worthy of being feared..Islam also teaches us to have hope in Gods mercy, as God is the MOST benificent and the MOST merciful.
@sephiroththewise God is merciful to everyone, but more so to those who fear him as it is his RIGHT to be feared, ie if God chose to withhold your water from you who is there that can provide it to you???
@ashisonline100 You are not faced with death currently. You are still alive and well, and thus dont understand what its like to be dying or close to death. Hypocrite.
@sephiroththewise i also know from experience that the closer you are to God spiritually, the more God removes the fear of death away from you. Unfortunatley the feeling of strong faith i am talking about is impossible to express fully in words. watch this video and u might understand "Shaheed inshallah, Mujahid AFGHAN Smile".
@ashisonline100 Ah, but Mohammad was no more a "prophet of god" than anyone else. If the man even existed, he was just one of millions of people who've made similar claims due to mental illness, a drive for fame or a desire to control others.
Now you can believe and practice whatever religion you want; I don't care as long as you don't get the government to ram your beliefs down my throat. I wouldn't have any problem with any religion if they weren't always doing that.
@ashisonline100 Your god doesnt exist. Mohammad was just a regular person (though, props to Islam for not calling him some sort of "son of god" like Christians and their Jesus). Accept truth and facts.
@sephiroththewise Your right, Muhammad (pbuh) was an ordinary human, whom the very exsistant God chose as a messenger and example for mankind becuase of his imacculate character. His purpose was to relay the truth abouts Gods exsistance to humankind so that on the day of reckoning you cannot claim that you did not know. Unfortunatley many people choose to not to believe due to their lustrous lifestyles and arrogance of knowledge. i have accepted the truth, you need to also.
I like #1. 'Are you a moron? Well, have I got a deal for you! For just 10% of your life savings, and loss of your free will, I can sell you this antique manuscript telling you all about the secrets of life and death, and who your master is!' (fine print) 'Must be over the age of 2 with an IQ no higher than the double digits. No guarantee of afterlife implied. We do not fully condone sacrificing animals, or children, or killing doctors or people who work on Sundays..'
Stalin was atheist he didnt need to send planes to buildings and yet achieved the award of greatest killer ever... I like to discuss religion but when people throw in stupid arguments...
@Afonsocool23 And you just propped a very stupid argument yourself. The greatest killer in all of history, if your bible is believable is your own god. Stalin did not kill anyone in the name of atheism, he killed to further his political goals of communism. How many millions have died in the name of your god? Christianity has left a river of blood through history.
@Netwriter Christian has a left a river of blood true. My argument was stupid because the argument about the planes was also stupid. First of all if a Christian kills he is not an Christian, 2-I belive in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ says:“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also (Mt 5:38-39). Jesus was against most of the Old Testment
@Afonsocool23 "First of all if a Christian kills he is not an Christian"
1. The old "No true Scotsman" argument doesn't work, pal.
2. “Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so. Nice try.
@Afonsocool23 I believe in Jesus (pbuh) also, and try to follow his path too, although, in my religion, Islam, we hold onto the principle of "eye for an eye" more especially towards evil people, Although it is important to note that forgivness and patience is more virtuous in Allah / Gods sight.
New Testment- You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. —Matthew 5:38-42, Kinda looks like Jesus is quite against the Old Testment
@alasjajo Surley in religous education at primary level teaches you that all three semitic faiths worship the ONE all mighty creator. The religion which Abraham (pbuh) followed was absoloute monotheism, which is the worship of ONE true diety. The Name Allah, translates from arabic to,"the ONE and only creator/God". All Prophets of the bible were MUSLIM, as this arabic word translates to describe,"one whom sumbits to the will of the ONE creator"the same creator that gave all revelation
@Netwriter This is a matter of perspective. True believers long to die in the name of God, as their goal is the eternal exsistance in the afterlife with their lord. Disbelievers however cling to this world and its temperal false pomp and glitter, and are terrified to embrace death as they think this is the only life they will live. Also they are genrally materialistic and immoral.
@ashisonline100 Materialistic and immoral? Sounds like the Wahabi rulers of Saudi Arabia, rolling in wealth, and jetting in supplies of fresh European girls each week to satisfy their lusts. "True believers long to die"- in other words, you are part of a death cult, which Islam certainly is.
@reginaDeviant since your thick as two planks ill eduacte you somwhat..Muslim is a descriptive term of one whom submits to the will of Allah the allmighty. Just because you rule saudi arabia does not make you an instant muslim, the same way as if you live in israel it doesnt make you an instant jew...israel is predominantly homo's, usurpers, murderers, decievers and athiests, most of which would sell their soul to devil for a few shekels.
@ashisonline100 You know nothing of the people in Israel. How can you even make such an overreaching, gross overgeneralization like that?? I mean really??
@ashisonline100 No, it is a matter of fact. You believe in a death cult. You straw man the other position. Immoral? Watch my video "Does Religion Make You a Better Person? You are dead wrong.
@Netwriter The greatest blasphemy is to take God's name in vain. Therefore anyone who commits atrocities in 'the name of God' is lying because by the very nature of it they are going against God.
@Netwriter One could argue that the governments of Stalin, Mao, Saddam, Kim il Sung, Kim Jong-il and other despots, though nominally atheist or secular, were not actually irreligious. Their cults of personality simply made them the dieties of their own religions, and they suppressed the "traditional" religions to limit the competition with their own.
@Afonsocool23 Greatest killer ever? Hardly. That award goes to God, who created plagues, earthquakes, savage animals, poisonous plants, tsunamis, meteor strikes, etc. And let us not forget that he drowned ALL humanity, except for 8 human beings. That's a formidable tally! Btw, Stalin's religion was Communism-its scriptures are the writings of Marx, its god is the State and its prophets are as monstrous as any god-believing tyrants of history.
@reginaDeviant 1-I was joking with that arument. 2-At the time the Torah was written (5k years ago) thw world population was very reduced so even thought i dont care about them Jewish books (wich are the Old Testment wich again i dont care since i follow but Jesus) God must have killed up to 10k people (which is not true). Stalin killed 60 million... But again i wasnt serious about that argument
@Netwriter Ahahaha!! Yes!! God is such a pussy!! I've asked on multiple occasions that if there truly is an omniscient, all-knowing, all loving God, that he show himself to save all the millions of potential souls from going to Hell. But nope, because if God is there, He's an indifferent prick.
@MetalxXxMayhem at least have a good reason for not following God and calling Him names... He has given everyone the choice to avoid hell. If you have knowledge of Christ and what He's done for you and you decide it's crap, then you have made your choice.
@alasjajo I haven't seen ANYTHING. That's what the problem is. You're assuming Christ has any magical abilities at all simply because a book said it, you thought it was true. Outside of your Bible, there is no God, no Holy Spirit. I've seen absolutely no evidence, in all my years, and trust me, i've been looking. As an adult, i'm tired of hearing about these fairy tales so dominantly as if they have any REAL meaning. It's all just fucking words on paper and you people freak OUT!
@MetalxXxMayhem ..sorry you need to see things to believe them...so then it's safe to say you don't think that Christopher Columbus, George Washington, or Plato were real people either? I mean a book told you they were, and told you of what they did. Are you SURE it was them who did the things mentioned? Just trying to help you look/think outside the box. If you're not gonna call Jesus saviour, have a better reason then, "I haven't seen ANYTHING"
@alasjajo People like metalxxxmayhem choose not to belive as it would interfere with the lifestyle they lead currently. When was the last time they had seen gravity?? does this mean they would deny gravity exsists?? or how about air?? They are just fools who have deluded themsleves and Allah/God has put a seal over their hearts so they cannot see.
@ashisonline100 We see gravity every day. Gravity is what holds us to the planet. It's what holds the planet together. We see evolution constantly, with every dividing cell of a bacteria.
@MetalxXxMayhem gravity is the human explanation of what holds us to the planet. But who created gravity and its laws. looks around, who gave every element and its form and characteristics? did this all happen by itself?? did the shoes and watch, and shoes you wear just miraculously make themselves over millions of years also?? obvioulsy not, so how would amazingly complex systems like solar sytems create themselves?you suffer from short sight.
@ashisonline100 My shoes were made out of existing materials. How did God make the Universe?? Did he just poof all the matter into existence?? We know how shoes are made, we've seen the process. We've never seen how a Universe comes to be, but i get the feeling the real answer is a lot more miraculous than some creator.
@Netwriter Because Muslims are the strictest of monothiests, and find the worship of various mythical false dietys abhorant. Idol worship is considered the gravest sin in islam as it gives Gods right of worship to others instead who have created nothing. Satan has used paganistic ritual practises in history to corrupt the pure worship of God alone, as we see in the lives of most Prophets. Islam removes this filth from it societys.
@ashisonline100 More boasting? Obviously, you're unaware that Jews are stricter monotheists than Muslims. YOU worship Allah, who, let's face it, is a moon god with daughters. YOU ascribe supernatural attributes to demons, djinn and angels. YOU are merely Catholic heretics, with paganistic practices and your disgusting Prophet was a thief, an adulterer, pedophile and murderer. Just seeing you lot circling the Ka'aba and pretending you don't have idols makes me laugh.
@reginaDeviant wow, when i dog barks at me i rarely bark back but ill make concessions for you. Firstly its common for deviant jews like yourself to start lying when confronted with the truth, your the best at spewing shit. We Muslims worship the creator alone, so bring whatever proof you have about moon gods and daughters then make assertions. My proof? go read surah 112 of Quran. Isnt it jews who say God begot a son called uzayr?? so was he a little god in your theology then???
@ashisonline100 Islam removes filth??? Are you serious?? Have you ever been to any Muslim country and seen the wretched lives of so many of its people- all due to the corrupt Muslim bastards who run the show? Go back to Fairyland- or better still, if you hate life so much, get yourself out of it-suicide is always an option for Islamic fools.
@reginaDeviant Also im not suprised at scum like you bad mouthing prophets of God the way you do. it must hurt you that Muhammad(pbuh) was the final prophet, and was not a decendant of Sarah. Your a racist and hatfull breed of biggots who thought that God loves you alone. Now you murder, oppress and steal to make way for the anti-christ, as you dont except Jesus(pbuh) as the TRUE messiah...Go read satans revelation, the Talmud, and bang you head against a wall.
@ashisonline100 What's wrong? Why doesn't your god Allah, remove this filth from societies? Why is it your responsibility to do so. Isn't your god omnipotent? If he is everything is just the way he wants it to be, or it would be different. An omni god does not need anything, including worship. Claims by christians, jews, and muslim that they are doing their gods will, and the result is death and destruction. Maybe you believers need to find a better god than Yahweh. What you do is evil.
@Netwriter Couldn't have said it better myself. It's like they don't quite understand what an "infinite" God truly means. People don't seem to realize that for God to truly be infinite, we couldn't exist. Because we exist, there is something that God isn't, thus making him NOT infinite. They don't seem to truly grasp the concept.
@MetalxXxMayhem your arrogance to think you are in a position to speak like this is astounding, considering humans only use approx 3% of their brains, how could you foolishly think that you can comprehend the creator of exsistance, especially with the limited knowledge you actually have. Worshiping your own measley intellect will get you nowhere, as you still have to die , and answer for EVERYTHING you have partaken in.
@ashisonline100 How could you foolishly think we only use 3% of our brain?? That's just plain ignorant. We use the entirety of our brains, just not all at the same time. It all has a function, so to say we don't use it is just plain stupid. We've scientifically tested this, so yeah, you're an idiot. You have absolutely no evidence of a creator, and yet assert to KNOW that i'll have to answer for everything. You don't KNOW that i'll have to answer for anything.
@MetalxXxMayhem And playing with words makes you intelligent? I never said all except 3% of your brain is redundant..well maybe yours is..Think of somthing with substance before you write fanny comments and waste everyones time.
@Netwriter What people dont seem to understand is that the whole purpose of life is to test us and see whom is better in deeds. God is opmnipotent, and could have made everyone as belivers, but has gave us the opertunity to prove ourselves as believers by spreading his message and striving in his cause. Also Allah is independant, and needs nothing from anyone, not even worship. But it is only him who deserves worship, and it is us who ultimatly are in need of him.
@ashisonline100 I think there are some humans to who deserve a hell of a lot more worship than God. People are the reason that people survive cancer. We're the reason we made it to space. WE'RE the reason we know anything. God hasn't done SHIT for us, and i don't expect him too. Invisible and non-existent look very similar.
@xXChrisHATEXx5 God created time, space, every atom and law governing them. Is it not the right of the one who created everything from nothing to do what he wills with them??? At least you acknowledge that God exsists, and creates..
@ashisonline100 Why does humanity have the capacity to forgive for the most horrible of crimes yet a supposed eternal Deity cannot forgive a human for temporal crimes and would punish them by sending them to a lake of fire for an infinite amount of time?
@xXChrisHATEXx5 I think your perceptions are a lil confused buddy, we regularly see humanity being unforgiving towards each other ie, familys breaking up, murder, greed, etc...whereas God the Creator constantly wishes to forgive humankind as he knows the weaknesses he has created us with, all he expects us to do is to repent to him alone, and to avoid arrogance in thinking that we are all knowing and all powerfull, as these are his attributes alone.May Allah / God guide everyone
@Khemist82 "[Ana`am 6:39] And those who deny Our signs are deaf and dumb in realms of darkness; Allah may send astray whomever He wills; and may place on the Straight Path whomever He wills." My lords signs and proofs are absoloutley everywhere, as long as you use the divine blessing of reasoning and logic. But if you are a denier you will never see the truth even if it stared you in the face.
try clasping your hands and pray...if you truly believe, things will certainly happen...and don't pray as generalized as a horroscope...be specific (that's they way we are commanded to pray. And #1 is just plain dumb...some of the greatest scientists were Christians. However, religion is stupid and does corrupt countries, people....a relationshipwith JESUS is needed, not religion
@Netwriter ...WOW! so you can back up that claim with quotes from scientists of old? Good luck with that. And I'm sure there have been people who have prayed for the cure. I don't need to prove my God, and you don't need to prove there is not one. Why is it so difficult to accept a Creator? Trying to prove there is/or isn't a God will only drive mankind mad.
@Netwriter Those billboards were lame and i was going to give you shit about trying be be an ass to the religious peole, until I saw alasjajo's comment. "trying to prove there is/or isn't a god will only drive mankind mad." Ok just gotta give up religion AND science, can't have either side we'll go mad
@alasjajo What?? You don't need science to disprove "god." Hes a character in a book of lies. Enjoy your 6000 year old flat earth that doesn't revolve around the sun. Oh and chopping babies in half is always nice too, good reading in the bible eh? :)
@alasjajo According to Jesus, "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
This means no true Christian has ever prayed for
world peace,
economic recovery,
cures for cancer or AIDS,
etc.
If I prayed in Jesus's name for the sun to go backward across the sky and it didn't happen, what conclusion would you draw? That god isn't there, or that I wasn't a true Christian?
I'll assume it's the latter - what if YOU prayed for it and it didn't happen?
@JMUDoc God's time is not my time...just because you pray for something does not mean you get it...what kind of God would that be? That'd be like a parent who gives their children everything they want...the world (people who did pray) would just be SPOILED
@alasjajo Well, actually I was confused by what he said and thought he was non-religious. But no. There is no proof that Jesus is anywhere and until you or anyone can provide that, just shut up.
Number 9 is pretty silly though. The fact that we don't see something doesen't mean it is not there? We don't see anything UV light, does that mean it is not there? The way that particular poster is worded is really bad.
@Starwars1442 XD.Might be.Noone knows exactly what God is.I like to believe it is energy - you can't see it,but without it there would be no Universe.
You made up newtmas and say people who are to dumb to learn science are in religon. Well why was he a strong christian and wrote more about god than anything else. Also he said, "I learned how the planets stay together, but God put them there." He also said he was against atheism.
@PaDumBumPsh Sure, invisibility should not be an argument against God, but the fact that someone brings a flawed premise to the table does not justify a belief in God.
@PaDumBumPsh well we breath air so it doesn't really matter that we cant see it haha... we know it's there. also, mountain peaks aren't invisible. at all actually, i've seen plenty of them haha.
and "not easily noticed"? wtf? how is that invisible? if it's not EASILY noticed, then it's still noticable, just not easily. its like a fishing line at night. hard to see, but you can see it if you look closely.
While I am sure there is a reason why atheists don't fly airplanes into buildings, is there a reason why atheistic regimes killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century?
akasseb 2 days ago
how about jimmy carr's "if we're all god's children what's so special about jesus?"
burnhippiesforfuel 5 days ago
#9 isn't going to work. People will just respond that air and thoughts are invisible, which I know that they are not really or they can be observed. but someone driving in their car may come to that conclusion and go on their merry way.
Kaldary 1 week ago
Roflol why are we not invisible ha ha love it this video rules
Unionjakk2 2 weeks ago
These are all really cool! But number 3 is just too much. People are still really sensitive about 9/11. The point of an atheist billboard is to encourage people to research and help fellow atheists come out. There is no point to #3 other than being rude and offensive.
ImpressiveCharlatan 3 weeks ago
@ImpressiveCharlatan I think it's an excellence point to make. No one is going to convince me to fly into a building. And that was more than a decade ago. People being sensitive about it is offensive to me. If I died right now, no one would still be bitching about it a decade from now. Were those people somehow more important than me?
Snakepliskinist 1 week ago
Dawkins came up with the best billboard; The time has come for people of reason to say Enough is Enough. Religious faith discourages independent thought. It is divisive and it is dangerous. (Twin towers smoking as backdrop)

Really funny! If jesu$ was against most of the Old Testment, it (it, I don't believe this guy was a real person)was against his own father! They say "god has only one word, but seems he's been changing hi$ word all the times.
You chri$tian$ are a bunch of nonsense ppl! You say "yes" to the Old Testament when it's nice for your believes and then, you just spite in it when it's against your "christianity".You are not "christians"-you're Paulo's(former Saulo) followers-another schizo,as Abraham was.
joferbrasil 4 weeks ago
@joferbrasil i agree with you that christianity changes too frequently to suit peoples desires, hence the state of christianity today...you have sodom and gomorrah, and gay clergy, wtf??? i am a muslim, and my holy scriptures has stayed word perfect from its revelation 1400 years ago. Abraham (pbuh) was aslo a true muslim as he believed in the one true mighty creator as we do..Christianity today is nothing like Jesus (pbuh) preached it unfortunatly.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 My opinion is:religion was madeto control ppl.I don't need a so called "god" or its words to command me to act like a decent human being! If you or anyone need to follow a religious pattern, you're susceptible to follow those who has the "power of the word." The so-called "word" can always be manipulated at the whim of those who read and interpret. Abraham,Muhammad or Joseph Smith and all ppl that "listen to voices" or have "visions" suffer from the same disease: schizophrenia!
joferbrasil 3 weeks ago
@joferbrasil your entitled to your own opinion buddy, but take into consideration that this is a one time short test.Prophets and messengers duty was to relay the message to humankind to worship your creator who gives you everything when you had nothing. its your choice wether to accept it or not.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago

And what will his age be?' So all that is written while the child is still in the mother's womb." Why test us?
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker impressed by your research. Predestination, or Qadr in arabic has been debated by many scholars, but is quite simple to understand. God knows everything, beggining, end, wretched or blessed. We are made to live out our choices and intentions in this life so that on the day of judgment we cannot say that God was unjust to us in what he decides of our fate. Allah, Glory be to he, is not restrained by time and space as we are.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Sahih Muslim, Bk. #037, Hadith #6622-Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, if you were not to commit sin, Allah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace (you by) those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allah, and He would have pardoned them. So Allah wants us to sin? Good thing that Satan seduced Adam and Eve, formerly known as Atum and Tefnut.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker When one repents to Allah/God sincerley, he humbles himself and begs forgiveness and acknoledges his weaknesses and Gods right over him. This in essence is true worship. If humankind was perfect and did not commit sins there would be no need to repent, which can inturn cause one to become arrogant and to think he is self sufficient. All sons of Adam sin but the best sinner is the one who repents and draws closer to God.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Adam is Atum and Eve is Tefnut, they are from the ancient Egyptian mythology, the story is not an exact copy, but with a little translation of the story you would see a similarity. Tefnut, was said to come forth out of Atum. One of her Mesopotamian nicknames was Nin-ti, meaning “Lady Life,” or “The Lady (Who Makes) Live.” S.N. Kramer states that ti is also the Sumerian word for “rib,” therefore Nin-ti could variously be interpreted as “the Lady of the Rib.”
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker What you say correlates with the islamic perspective relayed by Muhammad (pbuh) about Adam and huwa(Eve). This just confirms the version of events further, as possibly all the prophets of God would have been aware of this. From islam we also learn that there has been approx 24000 prophets in history, each being sent to his own nation. So its hardely suprising ancient egyptians were aware of this also.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Tefnut and her husband Shu were the children of Atum who created them by masturbating. Does this anything looks like what is in the Bible or the Quran?
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago

Can you explain this contradiction?
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago

What about this contradiction.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker And don't forget that many Islamic countries have the death penalty for apostasy.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal Yes, that's because of this, Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 83, Number 17 :Narrated by 'Abdullah: Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims."
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker A religion that equates apostasy and adultery with murder is not exactly benign. But that's not just Islam. Catholicism does the same.
This is a feature of religion, not a bug. Their texts are so ambiguous that everyone gets to project their own personal prejudices onto them. Instead of having to answer for those prejudices, they can pretend they're only following the dictates of their religion.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal All religions are crap, all what they do is propagate hate to the ''other''. I think there is a common factor between Catholicism and Islam. The Catholic church had their Inquisition and Islam have their Shari'a law, both are barbaric and an insult to human decency and values
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker Agreed. There are some differences, though. Christianity has at least had its Enlightenment, while Islam has yet to do so. Most Christian countries now separate church and state, either officially in their constitutions as we do or in practice as in western Europe. What we see now in many Islamic countries is what would happen in the west if the fundies succeed in re-creating the theocracies of medieval Europe.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal You got that right. I don't trust that Arab ''spring'', do you? I mean, the muslim brotherhood is financing Hamas, so I don't trust them. I think we will see a war real soon between Egypt and Israel. Iran is working on a nuclear weapon, what will happen if they have it? I think this shit is going to end ugly.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker We Americans keep making the mistake of thinking that if we just get rid of the one evil dictator (Saddam, etc), a country will suddenly become a modern, prosperous, western democracy that respects individual rights. Even dictatorships can't last without at least the tacit approval of its people, and they are often created by the people themselves. A dictatorial government is the symptom of the problem, not the problem itself.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal Yes, muslims are all part of the herd, they are like the Borg, you will be assimilated, resistance is futile.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker lol, quite funny, truth is though that we dont even have to try to assimilate. Islam is built on principles and ideologys that attract people, despite all the bad media coverage. In america approx 25000 reverts per annum, UK had i believe well over 6000 last year the majority of them women. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds!!!!!!
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal wow what planet are you writing your comments on?? You really think America has "a modern, prosperous, western democracy that respects individual rights"?? Wake up.. America has no interest in spreading democracy. They only wish to dominate, and will play footsy with ANY dicatorship in order to secure their grip over the world, and get cheap oil..one example, america and the sauds are bum chums despite it being a completley policed state, now why do you think that is????

Is this about apostacy? I don't think so, this is about forcing people to become a muslim, and if they don't want to become a muslim, then they must be killed or pay the Jizya while feel themselves subdued.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker In fact there is three choices, pay the Jizya, leave the Muslim land, or finally be killed, wich is quite fair if you take time to consider the options. What you need to understand is that Islam implemented correctly creates morally motivated societys. People rarley steal, commit fornication, take drugs etc etc.So if one wishes to live within this atmosphere they must either be a muslim, or pay a fee for the liberty which covers there upkeep/protection in the society.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
and please stop saying "force" to become muslim. If i put a gun to your head and told you to believe in God, would you really believe in God, or would you just say ok to get rid of me??? In islam sincerity is everything.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago

kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 If threatening to kill someone for renouncing Islam isn't 'force', then what is force? Why do so many fundamentalist Islamic countries actually prescribe the death penalty for apostasy if, as you claim, sincerity is everything?
Could it be that those in power know that if too many people were to publicly renounce Islam, their own political power would be threatened?
Any religion that relies on that kind of brutal force is thoroughly corrupt.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago

You only have to look at human chromosome #2 to know that god didn't create us.
kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Bullshit. You won't convince me that Muslim countries are somehow more "moral" than others when they treat women like property, deny individuals the basic human right to practice (or not) the religion of their choice, and force rape victims to marry their attackers or spend time in prison for adultery. This last one sounds like it could have been an Onion story, but it's reality.
As for fornication, it's none of your business who consenting adults sleep with.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal on the topic of women being like property A simple analogy would be, if you had a box full of rubys and diamonds would you go around showing them to everyone, or would you conceal them somwhere safe. Muslims Consider there women to be precious and we guard there dignity for them, whereas non-believers frequently sell there mothers and sisters on TV, in movies, porns, and billboards, using them as sexual objects/property with no shame.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
and your right, its none of our business who consenting adults sleep with. Thats why God, had created the blessing of marital relationships. So humans can live like humans and not animals, screwing who they feel when they feel... Promiscuity is undeniably a major cause in degradation to society, causing broken homes, parentless children, sex trade, STD's and genral lewdness and immorality.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 You're welcome to believe that if you like. It's even your right to express it in speech and text. You are welcome to enjoy your immense sense of satisfaction believing I will go to hell after I die because I reject your religion and all the intolerant barbarism it stands for.
Just stay the fuck out of my bedroom.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal lol, no intention to come anywhere near your bedroom.Your skeletons are your skeletons. As for me achieving satisfaction out of your demise, thats not true. Although we have very different opinions, 'Each of you cannot be a believer until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.'(Muhammad pbuh), so inherently i wish faith and Gods mercy for you.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 So why does nearly every Islamic country reject separation of church and state and merge its civil laws on Islamic teachings, including its private "moral codes"? Why is apostasy a capital crime? Why is there no concept of the individual right to speak, to assemble and to practice the religion of one's choice or no religion at all?
Or are you distancing yourself from nearly all of your fellow Muslims?
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal Because secularism leads to societys being ruled and governed by man, then inturn laws are passed which are opposed to religeous commandments set by the allmighty. Man will genrally rule to feed his own vain desires, and this leads to corruption in the land. God created us, he knows what is better for us, and its his right to demand it off us.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
‘Umar ibn ul-Khattab, the second Caliph and close companion to the prophet (pbuh), stood on the pulpit one day and addressed people saying: “O people! If you find that I have fallen into corruption… then straighten me.” A Bedouin rose from amongst the people and said: “By Allah! If we find you crooked, we will straighten it with our swords,” yet ‘Umar did not get angry or harbor malice towards him' We deffo have the right to speak especially against corrupt rulers
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
What you find in current so called Islamic contries is nothing short of greed and hypocrisy. Love for God is a state of the heart, and it does not qualify you as a Muslim just becuase your a ruler of a country.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 That's exactly my point! Even societies that supposedly follow "god's law" are in fact ruled entirely by humans. They invented religion as a clever way to avoid having to answer for the pure fiction (and often utter barbarism) they've written in their "god's" name. They just pretend to have gotten it from "god" when in fact they made it all up themselves to control other people. A theocracy is an EXTREMELY dangerous form of government.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal Your twisting of truth is getting quite tedious. First of all who is "they" when you refer to people inventing religion? As far as i know revelation was always sent to singular prophets each time, leaving no room for a conspiracy as you suggest. Also revelation was sent to lands where disbelievers like yourself formed the majority, and had total rule over the society. Please use facts, and not make belief.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
Also in regards to "barbarism", did you know before islam was introduced, the Arabs had a tradition to bury alive there newborn daughters. Allah completley removed this and many more ignorant acts from its "disbelieving" societys by providing them the criterion to act upon, and a messenger sent to teach the world how to live in form with the creators wishes.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 I should first ask if you are serious. Sarcasm and satire have a way of not coming through in print as intended.
If you are actually serious, I can't think of a better expression of the utter backwardness, even barbarism of Islam than what you just said. You and your misogynistic attitudes belong in the past, forgotten except as an example of the depths of human cultural depravity.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Okay, I should have made it clearer that each of our wars has been SOLD to the American public on the premise that overthrowing some dictator (Saddam, Taliban, etc) will make that country just like us overnight. Sarcasm doesn't always come across in print.
That said, it is definitely true that countries like Afghanistan will remain basket cases as long as their people form mobs demanding the execution of apostates from the dominant religion. Not even we do that.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal had its enlightenment???, maybe you should look into "islamic golden era" and the establishment of islamic education in Andalucia, in Spain when it was under Muslim Moore rule while western europe was still in its dark ages. Every time you write numbers, realise that if it wasnt for Muslims you would still be writing like MCMXCXCCMVIII.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Any golden era Islam may have had has since been completely lost. Anyone who thinks that civil laws and governments should follow the dictates of ANY religion, be it Judiasm, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism or other, is hardly enlightened by any credible meaning of that term.
There's a reason why the US has separation of church and state written into its constitution and why some of its authors, like Thomas Jefferson, consider it their greatest achievement.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker Apostasy is evidently a most serious crime, as the punishment is so severe in alot of Gods revelations. This is possibly due to the betrayal and ingratitude of the apostate after God has guided him to the truth. Since God is owner of all exsistance, is it not his right to decide whos blood is permissible to spill or not?

kuttenkijker 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Okay, and if God himself were to appear and demand the execution of apostates, then maybe you'd actually have a case. Problem is, we only seem to hear about "god's will" from the mouths of human beings claiming to interpret the writings of someone about someone who long ago claimed to have spoken directly with god.
Today, people who claim to talk with god are properly seen as psychotics and schizophenics. You label them "prophets". No dice.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal No doubt in the days of the true prophets there were "schizos, and Psychos" falsley claiming to be prophets also. You must be crazy yourself to believe that almost 2 billion people today alone are following a madman. Prophethood has criteria, and they must have qualitys not ordinary in humans...Allah(SWT) says to Muhammamad pbuh “Verily, you are of the noblest of character.” Q68:4., and this was proven continuously in his life time.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 I'd say the number of people following madmen is much MORE than 2 billion because it includes the followers of ALL religions, not just Muslims. Unfortunately, this insanity seems to be human nature so the best we can do is to create societal safeguards to control the more zealously religious. The biggest such safeguard is the separation of church and state, which even some Christians are trying to demolish. Political power is more intoxicating than alcohol.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal So? whats your point? Go read deutronomy 6-9, which most jews and Christians have belief in and then return with a similar comment.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Did I say I was a Jew or a Christian? This is exactly why I'm an atheist/agnostic, and why NO religion can safely be given control of civil authority. The most barbaric countries on the planet are the theocracies, including most of the Islamic countries.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasReal again wake up and smell the coffe.. The majority of "barbaric" "theocracies" in islamic countries were put into place by western governments, hoping to divide and conquer the previously established khalaifa (proper islamic rule). Why is america in bed with certain regimes, and setting sanctions on others????
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 If I'm not mistaken, Islam has been around since about 700 CE or so, chopping off hands for theft, stoning fornicators and executing apostates long before the modern western countries ever appeared. I certainly won't defend the foreign policy of the US, which ignores the atrocities of even the most barbaric governments (most but not all of which are theocracies) as long as they keep the oil flowing.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@kuttenkijker this isnt a contradiction either. There is no compulsion in religion means that its impossible to force one to become a believer, as belief is a sincere state of the heart. Muslim in defintion is one who submits to Gods will out of belief in him....second part of your comment identifies and segregates worshippers of OTHER dietys besides Allah, the true creator. This is "Shirk", the greatest sin in Islamic monothiesm, as it gives other false dietys Allahs right over his creation.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Quran 9:29, that isn't forcing someone to become a muslim? What if someone couldn't pay the Jizya? Then that someone would get killed.

@kuttenkijker ill give you a simpler way to understand. A teacher has x students, she knows them well, who will pass and who will fail the exam. can the teacher pass or fail the students on her presumptions/knowledge? no this will be unjust...the students must be tested in order to prove to the student themselves that they were a intelligent or a bum,
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Why should I be tested on my ability to memorize the rantings of a psychotic pedophile who lived > 1300 years ago?
All religions, including Islam, are a purely human invention. They are a very cleverly crafted means of political and social control that exploit natural human fears (like fear of death) and explicitly suppress the main threats to every despot: critical thinking and reason. The results range from almost tolerable to utterly barbaric.
ApolloWasReal 3 weeks ago
@ApolloWasRea First of all ill warn you that bad mouthing a prophet of God the way you do will bring you nothing but more humiliation, but only somone without a black heart would understand this, so maybe you are a lost cause. If you are so confident in your perveted opinion, go to any muslim and say it to his face, if you have the balls...oh but you only have this confidence hiding behind an internet connections anonymity. Your all talk and no trousers as they say.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
Another proof that your full of shite is your lack of knowledge on how religion works. If religion was a "means of political and social control that exploit natural human fears (like fear of death)" how is it possible that im not afraid of death and by your own admittance you are? So in your twisted idea, religion has no controll over me, but has has control over you, the one who rejects faith. This is psychiactric terms is called "insecurity" or "sense of vulnrabilaty".
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 i recon the only reason you say you dont fear death is because you either a) are 100%sure there will be something afterwards as long as you obey your gods rules or b)you are afraid of death, youre simply dennying it since its so distant to you.
Mark my words, when youre on your deathbed you will feel fear.

Afonsocool23 4 weeks ago
@Afonsocool23 And you just propped a very stupid argument yourself. The greatest killer in all of history, if your bible is believable is your own god. Stalin did not kill anyone in the name of atheism, he killed to further his political goals of communism. How many millions have died in the name of your god? Christianity has left a river of blood through history.
Netwriter 4 weeks ago 8
@Netwriter Christian has a left a river of blood true. My argument was stupid because the argument about the planes was also stupid. First of all if a Christian kills he is not an Christian, 2-I belive in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ says:“You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also (Mt 5:38-39). Jesus was against most of the Old Testment
Afonsocool23 4 weeks ago
@Afonsocool23 "First of all if a Christian kills he is not an Christian"
1. The old "No true Scotsman" argument doesn't work, pal.
2. “Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so. Nice try.
drgoldteef 4 weeks ago
@Afonsocool23 I believe in Jesus (pbuh) also, and try to follow his path too, although, in my religion, Islam, we hold onto the principle of "eye for an eye" more especially towards evil people, Although it is important to note that forgivness and patience is more virtuous in Allah / Gods sight.

Old Testment - Eye for an Eye´, Tooth for a Tooth
New Testment- You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. —Matthew 5:38-42, Kinda looks like Jesus is quite against the Old Testment

All Prophets of the bible were MUSLIM, as this arabic word translates to describe,"one whom sumbits to the will of the ONE creator"the same creator that gave all revelation
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@Netwriter This is a matter of perspective. True believers long to die in the name of God, as their goal is the eternal exsistance in the afterlife with their lord. Disbelievers however cling to this world and its temperal false pomp and glitter, and are terrified to embrace death as they think this is the only life they will live. Also they are genrally materialistic and immoral.
ashisonline100 3 weeks ago
@ashisonline100 Materialistic and immoral? Sounds like the Wahabi rulers of Saudi Arabia, rolling in wealth, and jetting in supplies of fresh European girls each week to satisfy their lusts. "True believers long to die"- in other words, you are part of a death cult, which Islam certainly is.

@reginaDeviant since your thick as two planks ill eduacte you somwhat..Muslim is a descriptive term of one whom submits to the will of Allah the allmighty. @JMUDoc God's time is not my time...just because you pray for something does not mean you get it...what kind of God would that be? That'd be like a parent who gives their children everything they want...the world (people who did pray) would just be SPOILED

@alasjajo How could someone have a relationship with Jesus even though he's dead?
KedViper 4 weeks ago
@KedViper It's called necrophilia....that is of course if they have the body ;)
drherbalst 4 weeks ago
@KedViper ...the flaw in your thinking is that Jesus is dead...
alasjajo 3 weeks ago
@alasjajo Well, actually I was confused by what he said and thought he was non-religious. But no. There is no proof that Jesus is anywhere and until you or anyone can provide that, just shut up.

Number 9 is pretty silly though. The fact that we don't see something doesen't mean it is not there? We don't see anything UV light, does that mean it is not there? The way that particular poster is worded is really bad.

@SnitchSeeker WOW maybe god does exist, he is just light particles in the air :D
Starwars1442 4 weeks ago
@Starwars1442 XD.Might be.Noone knows exactly what God is.I like to believe it is energy - you can't see it,but without it there would be no Universe.

You made up newtmas and say people who are to dumb to learn science are in religon. Well why was he a strong christian and wrote more about god than anything else. Also he said, "I learned how the planets stay together, but God put them there." He also said he was against atheism.

Science flies you to the moon.
Religion flies you into buildings.

This being, of course, a suggestion for an atheist billboard.

I rather believe there is unicorns, dragons and chicken that can fly, than to believe in god

Eternal torment and damnation awaits those who do not accept God's infinite love. <---- see the hypocrisy?

Plus most religious people don't fly planes into buildings either.

The definition of invisible is:
1. Impossible to see; not visible: Air is invisible.
2. Not accessible to view; hidden: mountain peaks invisible in the fog.
3. Not easily noticed or detected; inconspicuous: "The poor are politically invisible" (Michael Harrington).
So that means air, mountain peaks and the poor don't exist. I also can't see x-rays, gamma rays, molecules and atoms, so they don't exist?
Just using some logic and reason here.
PaDumBumPsh 1 month ago
@PaDumBumPsh But the reality of air, hidden mountain peaks, x-rays, gamma rays, etc can be tested and shown to be real.
Thousands of years have passed and not a single proof of any god has ever been presented. No proof of unicorns either.

@Netwriter
Then I think the concept behind proposal #9, equating invisibility with non-existence is flawed.
PaDumBumPsh 1 month ago
@PaDumBumPsh Not when it comes to folk's imaginary invisible friends.
Netwriter 1 month ago

@deadlycheezcake
I was using the definition from the FreeDictionary(dot)com. My point was that invisibility doesn't prove non-existence - the concept that Netwriter
