  • I cant stand that guy he is totally a profiteer

  • @bunchofdaisies His level of talent is uncanny. He is amazingly creative. He is the frontman of the greatest punk rock band ever!! He has been rocking out relentlessly his whole life. I saw BR at Warped in 2003 or 04 (was partyin real hard back then) and they played with more energy than any of the kiddy bands that day.

If he was a "total profiteer" he would not devote his valuable time to earn teacher's wages! College professors work harder than anyone else you know.

  • you went on the morning joe and was hoping to be taken serious as a punk rocker??? dude... i am a fan and i dont understand this move...

  • Wow! after hearing so many in your face, angry, and aggressive atheist's on youtube, it sure is nice to see one on the tube that doesn't immediately call someone who believes in god "a idiot illogical fucktard", or something along those lines.......

makes me like bad religion more than I already do ^----^

  • @skullface1818 A lot of atheists have become aggressive due to religious persecution. Also, why would you like something thats bad?

  • cool dude !

  • This babbling idiot wrote a book???

  • @Szkeptik You believe yourself intelligent? You aren't.

  • America: the land were being a fucking retard is cool. No offense to retards.

  • No she should be criticized for it. That's just retarded man.

  • I started to read the book. When I went at the US custom, they searched my car because I was not collaborative from their point of view. One of the agent found the book and said proudly "I found this!". After that, they asked me about my political opinions. We are slaves. They watch us all our life and they do everything they can to control us. If only the average American was smart enough to know that...

  • @tubetib Boy, the agent must have won a medal "Look Ma! I found a book!" It is sad really..

  • why are people today so absolutley TERRIFIED to admit that there may be an all knowing GOD out there?

  • @dannymundycomedy Because not everybody likes to lie to themselves.

  • @dannymundycomedy I don't think anyone actually IS "terrified" to admit that there "may" be an all-knowing god out there, but some people just don't believe that there is one. They're open to the idea, though. In my case, however, i see that the evidence just isn't there. But I am by no means terrified of the idea of a god existing.

  • @dannymundycomedy Actually most atheists keep open the idea of a God. They just don't believe in one until we get some evidence. But the idea of the Gods defined in man made releigions actually is a bit terrifying because those Gods are assholes. Luckily the odds of those Gods being true is about nil.

  • @Cryofax Remember! The goal is for us to give our PURE and FREELY willed love to him. In which case as long as we do not purely love him, HE failed. Thus proving he is not all powerful, because he cannot force free will! ;) If god sends us to hell, he proves how close minded he is, AND exactly that he was wrong! That we DO have something his all mighty and all powerful ass has NO power over, we have something that he doesn't, ourselves! My response to going to hell --> all powerful huh?

  • @Cryofax That actually falls in line with the ideas of being agnostic....as in "as soon as evidence come up that proves it I will believe it"

its pretty much the most logical choice

  • @skullface1818 Most Atheists (myself included) are what are known as "weak Atheists" or "Agnostic Atheists". Which means you don't know (agnostic) thus you don't believe (atheist). A pure agnostic is someone who claims not to know, that we cannot know, and makes no commitment in any direction. Which I find a bit silly. The default position is always non-belief in ANYTHING until proven.

  • @Cryofax I had heard of the stance of weak and strong athiest before, but thanks for getting things into perspective for me ^^

  • Science leads you to god? Hell no it doesn't, if you'd use that mass of gray matter inside of your skull you'd realize that there isn't a need for a sky magician. What, do you believe god created the world for 6.5 billion years?! These moderates aren't much better than the young earth creationists.

  • Weird thing about evolution , why are there so many ugly and stupid people on this planet. it suppose to be survival of the fittest , but there are billion and billions of weak people.

  • @flubno Because our society caters to the weak. Caters to people who think they are entitled to everything...Makes me sick.

  • What is with the way that blond lady stares at Joe Scarborough? It's creepy, yet I want one too.

  • Fuck these people are retarded, excluding Greg.

  • kick ass book and band. Greg Graffin's one of my role models

  • what a great guy. we need more like him

  • Bad Religion = One of the best bands ever. If you're reading this, just go listen to punk.

  • What a humble chap I've just been introduced too. Im gonna watch more videos

  • What a wus... the more knowledge you gain the further from god you get, I would hawe answered all those questions to a good degree of accuracy.

  • 4:28

"Uuubru I get.. Ill just.. or ...wha ...I believe in god. And I think.........."

Contradictory statements there don't you think?

  • Explaining how the earth got here within a YouTube coment:

4.6 Billion years ago, nebulous material from either the big bang or a past star system started clumping together. The main clump started fusing Hydrogen into Helium and became a star. Smaller clumps formed planets and orbited around the star. A rouge planet crashed into what would become earth and the moon.

  • @RottingCorpse100 LIAR.. the spaghetty monster created earth !

  • Evolution and creationism. All are taken on by faith and trust. One cannot prove the other. It's all up for speculation. But, my money will always be on science. And not fairy tales, which were made up by man. "God" was made in mans image. Not the other way around.

  • @Nomoremrniceguy100 Hmm... are "faith" and "trust" the same thing?

  • Science cannot explain why and neither can faith. ESPECIALLY! faith. It's a mystery all up for speculation. We are here, and we don;t have to know the answer, as to WHY!

  • If science can't explain it then we must go to the default answer, Wizards did it.

  • @menacingfox wizards and flying spaghetti monsters,

  • 4:41 "at the end of the day with all your scientific knowledge you'll get to god"

only that YOU DON'T - she clearly has no idea that our scientific knowledge really points to a non-existent god, see "A universe from nothing" by Lawrence Krauss.

  • @CarpetShark2010 For real, that made me so fucking angry when she said that. It's like, were you even fucking listening lady???

  • Anarchy = against authority / Ruling social class.

Its meaning comes from ancient Greek

  • somthing about adults discussing gods and other imaginary freinds seriously, pisses me off. like fucking children grow the fuck up. Idiots that just don't give a shit about anyone but them

  • @stalkingcat123 Way too generalize an entire group of people

  • @cannabisPREVENTION Thats my thought when I hear adults discussing god seriously. You are an adult discussing your imaginary friends and expect that to be taken seriously? Mental patients get put into asylums for exactly that. Just a little bit of critical thought and those adults would quickly realize how fucking stupid and crazy they sound. "big guy in the sky lookin' out for me, talking snakes?" ...CRAZY PEOPLE!! no excuses about it, sorry.

  • @teedonster2

Yeah, I used to be a Ron Paul fan, too, until I read this:

Taken from Ron Paul's own official website (ronpaul2012 DOT c o m SLASH the-issues SLASH abortion)

[ Immediately saving lives by effectively repealing Roe v. Wade and preventing activist judges from interfering with state decisions on life by removing abortion from federal court jurisdiction through legislation modeled after his “We the People Act.” ]

  • @Lowraith i dont agree with paul on a lot of issues. but the abortion issue is an issue to fight for another day. lets end the fed and the wars first before we deal with lesser issues

  • @Lowraith A legitimate point to take opposition on....it is something Paul feels very strongly about, and understandably so it was his medical discipline for many years.

    of course hes pro-life.

and I am pro choice, and if he had hsi way their woudl certanly be a few states that would make abortion illegal....

But I think that we have to solve the problems in the economy, weed out corruption, and end both our domestic and oversee wars before we go into the issues of states rights on abortion.

  • @Lowraith I digress, not the perfect leader to make america great again, but certifiably the best in the field atm for getting it back on track, at least until a better candidate pops up eventually.

and at that note, he beats the living hell out of all their other GOP candidates. not the best 2ed example, but hey, its pretty much true. :D

  • id like to see a debate between a satanist and an atheist. that would be really interesting.

  • @TheTrueScource what would be so interesting about it? it's the same as an atheist debating with another theist. the atheist rejects the notion of the existence of any supernatural being (that can be god, satan, leprechauns, etc.), while the satanist doesn't, but in his belief doesn't side with the christian god, but with the christian satan or other theistic antagonists.

  • @TheTrueScource It would be the same as a debate between an atheist and any religious person. Basic breakdown: Satanist - "Satan is real, I have strong faith in this"

    Atheist - "You're deluded"

  • "evolution is messy and doesn't have any kind of formula, so we better believe in god". what a joke. i feel sorry for them.

  • whats that part about natural selection not being favored?

  • Damn all these stupid people still bringing humanity down. We are only just emerging from the dark ages of religion, and majority of humans are still superstitious cultist morons.

But we are getting there, religions are dying. 1.5 billion Atheists allready, and that number is skyrocketing higher every day.

  • @bary1234 Word to your mother.

  • The answer to how the Earth got here is pretty simple depending on how in depth you want to go. Suicide to say the earth is the congealed remnants of a long since dead star far larger than our own. At least i'm pretty sure

  • Science leading to magic? Seriously?

  • ron paul 2012!

    end the fed!

    end the war on drugs!

    end the midde east wars!

close the military bases in foreign countries!

    no more lying obama

  • @teedonster2 POLITICIANS ARE NATURALLY LIARS...

    Ron Paul Lies too...

why are you americans so fucking stupid?

why do you continue to parade your politicians like Messiahs?

all you are doing is setting yourself up for disappointment!

  • @Lostprophetzzz so your just going to bend over and pull your cheeks apart whilst you wait for the establishment to fuck you some more?

ron paul 2012! and it appears this polititian isnt a liar. show me a video of his lies

  • @teedonster2 ALL OF HIS CAMPAIGN PROMISES ARE POTENTIAL LIES...

    HOW ARE YOU SO STUPID?

HOW MANY OF GEORGE BUSH'S CAMPAIGN PROMISES WERE FULFILLED?

    HOW MANY OF OBAMA'S WERE?

WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO FALL FOR THIS SHIT?

  • @Lostprophetzzz Nothing we can do about it.

  • @Lostprophetzzz ehh..americans...

  • @Lostprophetzzz none of us like politicians but most of us just too lazy to do anything about it if the people wanted we could easily overthrow the government but McDonalds keeps most of em in line lol

  • @Lostprophetzzz Its a shame that most people don't understand that change must come from the bottom up, not from the top down.

  • @Lostprophetzzz I dont believe Ron would lie to us... There are good people out there. The act of believe everyone is out to get you creates a perspective and therefore a reality were everyone is out to get you. Some people like Doctor Paul want a seat of power to good things with it, sadly the majority of people questing for power have lied and cheated their way there, creating perceptions like your own.

  • @Metalpaved And there was a hundred people who believed the exact same thing during the 08 elections.... look how that turned out.... Ron Paul is a politician... the job BY NATURE involves DECEIT... there is NOTHING to suggest Paul is anymore of an honest man.... it is not misguided perception or Misconception.. IT'S LOGIC.... IT'S PATTERN RECOGNITION.... it's the way ALL politicians progressed... 1. MAKING PROMISES 2. GAINING POWER.... 3. SEEING NO REASON TO FULFILL PROMISES,
  • @Lostprophetzzz you sad sad troll... there no trust or hope in your "logic"... therefore your creating a reality for yourself where trust cannot exist. its seems so engrained in your skewed and sinister perception that at this point your willing to ignore a lifetime of upstanding character and moral consistency because off the patterns youve noticed leading to nothing more than assumptions. shame. any good scientist knows an experiment needs a control and will always have outliers

  • @Metalpaved i take the troll thing back, that was uncalled for.

  • @Lostprophetzzz Why do they do that? it seems to be because he is most hated by the liberal media.

  • @Lostprophetzzz I know most of us are idiots -.-

  • @Lostprophetzzz True.

  • @Lostprophetzzz You do realize that no matter where you are, you have politicians too, and that people believe in them? That's kinda why they get elected: People believe them, to at least some degree. What's the alternative, throw their names in a hat and randomly vote for whatever you pull out? Please, tell me, under your "never support politicians because they're all liars" idea, how should a modern government work? Propose an alternative, oh cynic sage.

  • @MoDaSocrates Maybe people need to pay attention to the bills they are signing, get educations, etc... The only reason they CAN lie is because it is easier, so make it harder. If one is smart enough, they can make sure there is no room for any conventional corruption ;)

  • @MoDaSocrates you can support a politician.. but i know that NO-ONE should be stupid enough to fully believe them....

very few people in the UK believe in politicians.... we just vote for the guy who has the least chance of fucking up the country worse....

our voters don't act like the person they are voting for is an honest MESSIAH....

    like american voters do....

there is no major Politician in the UK who has true popular support at ANY point...

  • greg graffin is such a role model !

  • why would anyone ask a question then interrupt the answer? especially when its greg graffin talking to you.

  • I like BAD RELIGION 20 years. because i am atheist too

I am from Brazil and I saw bad religion show in 1999.

    I will never forget

  • It's just as much a leap of faith to believe that any scientific theory of where the origins of life began is carved in granite.

  • @trollocaust No it's not.

  • @Jpear5000 Oh? Okay, I tell you what. You get yer butt off the game chair and go pursue a hands on study following all the proper scientific methods yourself...And I don't mean regurgitate past theories, known fact, hypothesis' ,etc... Gather ALL the evidence yourself, truly bridge the gaps and convince me that you are justified in your audacious reply. Sound good?

  • @trollocaust So because science doesn't have all the answers, religion does? Also btw I'm studying a bachelor of advanced science with a major in astrophysics.

  • @Jpear5000 Thats a loaded question....I never said anything about religion.

    Good luck with your studies!

  • that a**hole in the blue/white checkered button up kept interrupting GG... shows how insecure he was about his own intelligence...

  • He's too smart for them...sad

  • Ya, I'd do him in a heartbeat based on his brain, composure, tact & delivery alone! Add to it that he's a rock star & we have a slam dunk! Have you watched the video about his dissertation? Impressive G damn punker!

  • I'd still do Greg Graffin.

  • 0:36

  • it would be freaken awesome to be his student.

  • He's so sexy.

  • I love how she said "punk rock band" like it was something vile. God, Greggy is too good for that network.

  • God- it's too bad that all 4 others on this table can't add their I.Q.s together and are less then Dr. Graffin's. I saw BR for 1st time in 1984 and 30+ times since & read both his books & I think he is a rare mix of artist & intellectual that hardly ever is seen. If you go from 1st album & read lyrics then follow with next 3- it's a story of our society in those years- better than The Wall-

  • "If you want to believe a little meteorite crashed into the earth and Bill Maher emerged from swamp from someplace..." That is exactly my belief on how Bill Maher came to be.

  • @TheRenho3k No doubt. Had the pleasure to see them twice. Greatest band ever. Greatest punk lyricist ever.

  • He was much too gracious to these dumbfucks.

  • First Live show I went to was a Bad Religion. Greatest show of my life. Greg Graffins work has made this world a better place to live in.

  • everyone except the guy who did all of the talking looked absolutely petrified that greg was going to show them for the idiots that they are

  • Wow. Those people are total fucktards. I love greg's face at 4:42. It's like "what the fuck is this bitch talking about. OMG I can't wait to leave."

  • No formula? Um... well, there's not *one* formula, there are many dozens, describing rates of selection and drift as functions of population size and allelic fitness, additivity, non-random mating, linkage, inbreeding and gene flow, and on and on. And, because these processes leave their signatures in population-level gene frequency profiles, there are empirical tests to determine the likelihood that one of them is the best explanation for an observed outcome. It's not lawless, just complicated.

  • @dorianXsapiens maybe you should read his book then.....

  • They make up stories to feel better about themselves, what's wrong with that? Sanity and happiness can not exist simultaneously, what's the problem with diluting yourself? Fuck you

  • 4:43 Greg, "bitch plz" look

  • These bitches disrespectin' yo!

  • Is it just me or is everyone else on that table a brainwashed moron?

  • @Hrvo182 just you...

  • that bitch is laughing at greg. At least the others are being respectful

  • Just bought this book last night...can't fuckin' wait to get into it!!!

  • Greg Graffin is the only one that has any fucking idea what he's talking about

  • what is the bad religion song at the beginning

  • @MikeKostkaaaaaa the day that the earth stalled

  • Heard it. Dumb bitch

  • Did anyone hear that little bitch snicker as she said "...punk rock band Bad Religion..."?

  • @neverender888 I'm not sure it was meant to be patronizing if that's what you're suggesting.

  • How can you just have barely 5 minutes for an interview with Greg Graffin. So weak, NBC.

  • When it comes to beliefs(assuming nobody goes overboard with em like a terrorist), I think that atheism is the worst. Without a god people would be boring and depressed more often. It really sucks knowing that the world isn't really a beautiful place and it's not the best it could be cuz an almighty being is watching out and helping you. Not KNOWING that after you die you'll go to a better place. No real reason to give a shit... Fuck science

  • @yankeessuck1138 this is exactly the problem with religion. people can't accept reality so they make up stories so they feel better about themselves.

  • The Founding Fathers would be considered "terrorists" by today's standards. Atheism is a very empowering belief. Knowing that there isn't some spoiled eight-year-old in the sky with a magnifying glass over our anthill is a relief. The existence of an afterlife does not necessarily prove the existence of a god.

  • @yankeessuck1138 Is religion, or any belief structure, really necessary to see that the world is a beautiful place? I live in Eastern Kentucky, at the foothills of the Appalachain Mountains. You'd have to see this place to truly believe it. Very beautiful place.

  • @yankeessuck1138 haha ive been pondering how to come back at you for such a bigoted and quite frankly ignorantly retarded statement such as yours..but then i noticed you added "fuck science" to the end of your comment...made me smile and realize what can i say that you haven't already made clear yourself...your a fucking idiot

  • @miamorhardstyle maybe you just missed the point asshole

  • greg's sort of like phil collins meets bruce willis. Love Bad Religion. Fuck all those other turds at the table.

  • Most questions these people have can be answered in a Physical Geology and Historical Geology class at their local commmunity college. 400 bucks for each class and they will have piece of mind.

  • @IronicKismet Very true, but then they might actually LEARN something that shakes their fragile little world... can't have that

  • @IronicKismet Or on the internet for free, with stuff like Khan Academy.

  • my respects to greg , very educated man

  • that christians lady idea was pretty nice :)

  • that smirk is hilarious

  • That guy who keeps cutting off Greg whenever he asks him a question is a dick.

  • @BringOutTheLions Agreed, he needs to be smacked. Nobody cuts of Greg Graffin

  • He's got that Jack Nicholson kind of smile.

  • Hey guys, I'm smart too. Infinity, chain of casualty, beginning, end, axiomatic, invoking, flapjack, tire iron, Wisconsin, stapler. [collects blank papers from desk, straightens them with a few sharp clicks on the table and exclaims the term smugly] "Nailed it."

  • That's Dr. Graffin to you.

  • Graffin did pretty well up there. It would be great if he were a regular commentator on a show.

  • Why the FUCK is Kraeyshawn a recommended video for this? That legitimately makes me fucking angry. That trash shouldn't be anywhere NEAR a video containing Greg Gaffin.

  • What a joke, the hosts were not interested one bit in what he had to say or the debate whatsoever.

  • How bout instead of worshiping an invisible man in the sky, doesn't it make more sense to respect the thing that supports our lives?? Like say mother nature, did someone forget about her or what?

  • I feel bad for Greg, those jerks keep cutting him off!

  • I am Catholic, I do believe in God (I don't think our world out of all the others could have happened by chance), and I can say that Greg's book is awesome! Everyone should read it, a great world view.

  • Why does 'God' always have to be a pronoun? Some day science will show, if it hasn't already, that God is a verb.

  • Yes! People making complete and civil arguments and not a bunch of verbal defecation! Debate is good. It solves problems. Just think before you type, be respectful to one another, be tolerant and then nothing else matters. :)

  • they got off atlantic, but they still toured with blink 182. who cares, its just music. Greg Graffin is pretty collected and chill, an atheist, but he i don't thin he looks condescendingly on those who believe in god, just disagrees, really, just totally disagrees.

  • @1adagonzalez That is correct. It might come as a surprise to some, but the fact is not all members of Bad Religion are atheists. Graffin makes some pretty clear distinguishments in this vein in his book, Anarchy Evolution.

  • Corporate owned media, i.e. even entertainment perhaps. Bad Religon signed on Atlantic awhile ago, and has also toured with BLINK 182, lol.

  • these friggin news shows are completely useless. Never any resolution, no ideas are valid, yet all ideas are valid. fuck the news, and fuck the corporate owned media.

  • Wow, you would think they would let Greg talk about his book and some of the ideas in it rather than cutting him off every time he tried to speak.

  • Greg is a fucking genius. Period.

  • Comment removed

  • "How did the earth get here?"

Shit, ask him to name every mammal in backward alphabetical order in 5 minutes why don't ya >:/

  • I didn't know Greg had a PHD at/lectures paleontology. Cool.

  • @MarkArandjus

    It's a PhD in Zoology

  • @MrJordyAbsurd Blast you, Wikipediaaaa...!

  • whats the song in the beginning?

  • @DTEENPUNKROCK the day the earth stalled. it's the first track on the dissent of man

  • I'm an anarchist. I'm also an athiest, and I honestly don't give half a fuck wether someone believes in god or not. Most punk rockers and anarchists don't have a problem with religion itself, it organised religion we hate.

  • @stabamonkeyintheface There are no valid distinguishments between 'religion' and 'organised religion'. They're the same thing. I think you're confusing the term religion with faith or personal belief, which are, definitively, very different. Like you, I don't give a flying fuck whether someone believes in god or not. But those beliefs in public practice is what constitutes religion, and I most definitely have a problem with that.

  • @DorakoftheHillPeople Why do you hate Buddhists?

  • @Pariah1974 What the fuck are you on about now? I hate Buddhists? How about a citation there matey?

  • @Pariah1974 "Why do you hate Buddhists?" - Pariah 1974

That's quite an inference, especially in light of my preceding remark, "I don't give a flying fuck whether someone believes in god or not." You equate my objection to proselytizing and the practice of religion in the public sphere with hatred? Yet another fine example in a series of inane assumptions and baseless characterizations. Had you considered that you may be suffering from a persecutory delusion?

  • @stabamonkeyintheface The atheist Delusion!

How could some of the scientists permit themselves to make a claim that would necessitate knowledge as extensive as the scheme of the universe, when their knowledge of the total scheme of being is *close* to zero, when confronted with a whole mass of unknowns concerning this very earth and tangible, lifeless matter, let alone the whole universe?
