I would go to the nether myself, If it wasn't for the flying squids that shoot fireballs at you. Then there are those wierd man pig hybrids. then its a pit of eternal suffering.You would get lucky if you are in the ground in the nether so you are not in the open, since those squids will gang up on you and you'll lose all of your stuff.

@Samhonestguy well there is a way but it will cost a lot of wood. if you light up a whole house with like 3 layers and put it on fire then there is a change that a few blocks will stay on fire for eternity

You dont need netherstone, log would be more hously themed. Logs will burn forever as long there isnt fire under it....

good thing about bloodstone (netherack) is that it doesnt burn other nearby objects like wood

u can make stell with metal ore that are brown use the kitchen block and the flint u can get by cliking gravel with and if it dont work try again and again until u get flint
