Would the Yaqui Slide work for a sub-compact pistol - a Beretta PX4 Storm sub-compact  for example?

I couldn't tell you, but as with all holsters, they will list what guns fit. As you can see, theses holsters fit damn near anything. My guess is, the smaller one I was using in the vid would work fine.
