Compare Butler's end note with Crawford's, it's far shorter and has not got the sadness in it.

He was picked because he was marketable, a younger handsome Phantom attracts people, same as a young attractive Christine.

Only difference is Emmy Rossum actually had singing talent

Yes she did have talent, but she was more of a pop singer than opera, even commercialized musical theatre-type opera like this. Not a shot at her or anything, but there are different singing styles, don't you agree? Her voice is great, her WYWSHA actually made me cry once!! So much emotion!!

She should have more movie roles, and perhaps musical film roles. She's a lot better then most actors who get put in those parts
