  • That's about to be one dead dog if it was a wild coon!!!

  • Yeah tell that to all the idiots who think they are actually fighting. They are playing people and they did this all the time.

  • what song is this? it fucking rocks man!

  • if they were actually fighting this would be over in a few seconds. the dog doesnt stand a chance

  • haha thats awesome, im also planning on buying a raccoon as soon as i get the class3 permit =) i also hope to be able to keep mine as friendly and playful as yours

  • raccoons are halirious

  • A raccoon...for a pet!

  • where did you get a racoon?

  • read the past posts I explain there.

  • HOW DID U GET A RACOON TO LIVE WITH U

  • Again read past posts. But he was a baby when we got him,

  • my raccoons name is rocky lol

  • how did u get that raccoon

  • read the past posts

  • can you train them to go to the bathroom outside???

  • Don't know, Stitch used the toilet.

  • I don't know. Stitch used the toilet.

  • If they had babies, would they be called Chicoons or Rachuahuas?

  • hum....Chiconcon

  • Rachuahaus, definately

  • chubicabra's

  • Depends if the baby was a male or a female. (:

But it biologically would just not work - the animal's genetics won't mix even if they were IVF, and will end up in miscarrages.

    But Awesome thought anyway :D

  • thanks for : black socks on the floor

    XD

  • That's, um, a big Chihuahua? Looks like a Beagle mix. I wish I had a pet raccoon, though. I love raccoons.

  • lucky u uve got a racoon as a pet

  • ya my chihuahua is a bit bigger than that, and he just scared the crap out of a raccoon that was eating his food. the raccoon was twice his size too haha. hes such a bully lol

  • I thought raccons were mean to huimans plz repley

  • There is a hotel here where a dozen of so coons come each night for the people to feed them fruit. They are very curious and playful but you never know what a wild coon will do. We raised our from a little baby so he was very tame and we knew how to handle him when he played a bit rough. In my experience raccoons are all fluff and no bite. Stitch would fluff up and make a threatening sound when he was scared. Then he would run and hide.

  • Lovely animals those raccoons here in Holland people wear their fur, it is a crying shame.

  • can u have raccoons as pets?

  • Ever see household dogs "play"

When animals are raised together, and the owners are caring and attentive enough, playing looks a lot like what you're seeing here.

Everyone who says that they're fighting or trying to kill each other, obviously haven't owned dogs in their life... watch them play... ten times more rough then what this is.

  • i agree, besides if they were fighting each other, their would be dog guts on the ceiling.

  • I saw two racoons fighting once. It was like Night on Bald Mountain. It's funny they're always the cute, sweet thing in Disney movies when they can kick behind.

How cool that they're domesticated in Costa Rica though.

I bet I know which of teh two is responsible for guarding the house =)

  • :D It would have been 100 times more awesome if you dubbed it with Mortal kombat theme song XD

  • I'll try that but sometimes they don't let you use some songs.

  • my raccoon is scared of my cat, XD HAHA

  • Stitch was scared of one of our cats too.

  • Awesome video.

  • i so want a raccoon :)

and, i'm sorry if someone has already asked but what song is playing?

  • that dog isnt a chihuahua!! mix?? even if it is, it still doesnt look like a freakin chihuahua! cool vid tho

  • can you own a raccoon as a pet , what kinda of care do you have to provide

great video for sure, I laugh when he jumps on the sofa/chair and goes back down to avoid the dog

  • They are playing moron! Get a clue.

  • Wow, He is a Big boy!

Raccoons can be such Lovable Animals...I kept a Baby for a few months until a rehab shelter was able to take him And he was such a Sweetie!

He would cry for a bottle, sneak into bed to cuddle and even give kisses. I would have kept him if it wasnt illegal where i live...

    cute video though!

  • scared of the unknown sums it up for me ,say raccoon outloud and someone will say "rabies" ..i wouldn't mess with a wild coon ,but i have raised an orphane that we had for 3 weesks before his eyes opened ........he thinks hes a dog!!!!!

  • lmao i want a racoon look cute and active and lovable

  • Nice!! a raccoon for a pet!!

  • if some one's comment requires a response I do. Not to would be rude.

  • chihuahhua mix. Boy what's with the dog bread snobs out there?

  • Steve was killed by a sting ray in a random and freak accident. Obviously his number was up.

  • True but I also have four dogs. They are very nice pets, but Stitch is by far much cooler and more entertaining.

  • Wow... I'd want to have a racoon!

Its not possible though since they dont exist here in Brazil.. : (

    Anyways really cool pet! XD

  • i'll mail you one LOL

they look like they would be the most awesome pet to have

  • well your in brazil you have like 10000000000 different types of animal haha in the amazon and stuff wish i lived there.

  • since you own a raccoon you have a biased opinion on which animal is a better pet. It probable is a better pet for you, but i would say millions of dog owners couldn't be wrong.

  • I would NEVER want a raccoon lol.

  • i want a pet racoon

  • I love raccoons, to bad you online got them in a zoo in holland

  • That's sad. I hate to see raccoons in cages. They are active, it's just mean.

  • Ahhhh, feed them more. LOL

  • XDDD

  • Because he cries when we lock him out.

  • Becaue my house is more fun than yours.

  • Watch my other video. This is just a game.

  • Will domestic dogs ever go crazy and attack humans?

  • chihuahua mix

  • Stitch used to bite our noses all the time to establish dominance. Then we'd have to bite him back. It was gross. No one ever got hurt.

  • Raccoons in tourist areas can become quite tame. I still would not recommend you try to pick one up. They can take a chunk out of you if they are afraid.

  • My raccoon can out wit your dog any day.

  • The raccoon gave up and went to get a snack.

  • 2 years old.

  • And how do you know your do g wont freak out?

  • black socks. Stitch uses the toilet.

  • Chihuahua mix.

  • he was orphined.

  • They are mischevious hell raisers and yes they are great pets.

  • Because raccoons are way smarter than some of the people who post here. I'd love to be friends.

  • Watch my other video. They are just playing.

  • WE're mental? You actually think they are really fighting? They are playing!!! Hello, Mc Fly, if this were an actual fight that dog would be toast. They play like puppies. Have you ever seen dogs play? Yeah, watch my other video you will see what I mean.

  • Who says he was domesticated.

  • yep they have a great time.

  • Well shouldn't everyone? They are the bomb.

  • While I have no doubt wild raccoons can be vicious and captive raccoon which are mistreated can hurt you bad, under the proper care they can be very lovely animals. If you beat a dog it will take a chunk out of you too.

  • Socks. Stitch used the toilet. Watch my other video.

  • The name fit. He was distructive but so very cool.

  • Raccoons. As cool and friendly as they may be are not good pets. They are destructive and have parashites in their digestive track. Just don`t!

  • Some raccoons have parasites as do some domestic pets. These can be treated with anti-parasite medication and Stitch had regular vet visits. Also the parasites here in Costa Rica are different. Raccoons are not easy pets like dogs or cats but people keep snakes, ferrots and all kinds of pets which require special handling. I would never suggest just anyone try to raise a raccoon but for those who are willing to take on the task it is an incredible experience well worth the trouble.

  • A fisherman found him near the beach. Stitch was alone and wounded.

  • Why the hell do you have a raccoon in your house? a house pet? is it legal?

  • Because raccoons are awesome and it is legal in Costa Rica.

  • y would u have a raccoon

  • Because they rock.

  • How come there a raccoon in your house??

  • Raccoons are smarter than dogs and less messy than monkeys.

  • why is there a raccoon in your house... ?

  • Don't knock it til you try it. And dogs are just sooooo boring.

  • O GAH ITS A COCKFIGHT YOU SICK BASTARD

  • What? You must have watched a different video. This is our raccoon Stich playing with our dog Sugar. OH, I'm sorry are you too stupid to see they are playing? Because if it were a fight the raccoon would have snapped the dogs neck in less than a minute. The whole vs. it's a joke. Get it? go buy a clue.

  • AW SHE so cute... i love coons.

  • Thanks, he's a he. But yes he was very cute.

  • Hey, do you know maybe if its dangerous to touch a wild raccon... coz i did once, he came to my window and i touched him very cute :)

like is there any danger at all? and do they bite or scratch?

  • It could be dangerous if it is a wild coon. In some areas they can have rabbies. But I have touched wild raccoons it just depends on what risk you are willing to take and how well you read animal behavior.

  • is that poop in the background? is that racoon litter trained?! lol...

  • Those are my children's school socks. Stitch uses the toilet. Check out my other video.

  • wow, is that racoon like a pet? haha why the hell is it inside? haha funny video though

  • He no pet he's part of the family.

  • Look The raccoon is cool. They get who the boss is. That never stop them from bein raccoons. They will eat your domestic pets and your house. That`s what they do.

  • While they can eat your house, they will not hurt the pets. Now I am not saying they wouldn't eat a hamster but they are just snack food anyways and cats will eat them. They might also eat the fish in a fish tank. Again you will have the same trouble with a domestic cat.

  • Can I ask why rabies isnt an issue in Costa Rica? is it non-existant there for some reason?

  • Non-existant. Not sure if it's a tropical thing or what but dogs don't need vaccinations for it either. It's just not a disease we worry about here.

  • wow thats s a pet coon

  • That coon would scare me.

  • That's only because you don't know him. He's just big Teddy bear.

  • you have a pet racoon? thats sick!

  • I hope you mean sick as in cool? In which case, yes, yes it is.

  • is that your pet

  • Yep, more of a family memember

  • that coon is quite the size.... big guy...wheew. LOL

  • raccoons can be pets?

  • What qualifies an animal as a pet?

  • goddamn i really really want a goddamn raccoon

  • Careful what you wish for.

  • Can you have a Raccoon as a pet?

  • You can in Costa Rica.

  • WOw that is a big coon O_o

    How much does he weigh?

  • I think he was about 25lbs.

  • Hey wow how did you tame him so well?

I thought coons got to a certain age and would be too vicious to keep, Or was this before he went crazy? :P

  • Read some of the other comments. Someone here wrote in about a raccoon they kept until it died of old age. I think they get nuts if you lock them up. Stitch was always cuddly and never vicious.

  • my dog can take a coon

  • Probably but my dogs would come to his deffence. They were all buddies.

  • chihuahua would kick raccoons ass have u ever seen movie viva la chihuahua

  • how much it cost?

  • I think it was $10. But the fisherman would have probaly given him to me he didn't want to get stuck raising a raccoon.

  • he got SlApppeeeddd

  • I would love a raccoon! haha

  • OOOOOOOH. it's so cute. i want a raccoon for pet :D

  • you have a pet racoon? AWESOME!

  • Where can you buy a raccon pet

  • If you are in The US you need special permits and there are very few breeders. Some areas don't allow it at all because of the fear of rabies.

  • Poor raccoon is terrified with dog

  • I don't think you are watching the right video. Stitch started it and the dog and he enjoy playing like that. Oh, you must live a sheltered life. Sorry, let me explain. This is how animals play. Had this been an actual fight the raccoon would have killed the little dog.

  • That's awesome! I want a raccoon for a pet!!! :D

He's fairly large and cuddly looking. He seems very sweet. Congrats on your awesomely diverse family!

  • that's a chihuahua? That's a beagle.

and why does that racconn have so short fur? You cut it or it is natural in summer? He looks like a monkey rather than a coon :D

  • It's a chihauhua mix. Stitch is a crab eater raccoon not a northern mountain raccoon. He lives in a tropical region and would cook if he had long fur.

  • are raccoons a lot of work to handle? I mean, i have a husky i raised and trained, that was a lota work... but are raccoons even more difficult? Is it hard to house train or ... train them not to tear everything apart? thanks for your response!

  • They are a handful. Raccoons have oposable thumbs and can get into everything. Stitch could even open doors. But he did train himself to use the toilet. I couldn't teach him to flush though.

  • it looks like the Raccoon was trying to tag in the person on the couch, been watching too much WWE....

  • raccoons can actually be kept as pets? :/

  • i think we were his pets actually.

  • an you own a racoon

  • He owned us.

  • wow thats a big ass raccoon

  • LOL i thought the same thing!!! ROFL

  • That's what I was going to say.

  • haha thats the same thing i said when i saw it

  • racoons can be pretty fukin big like small dogs lol

  • yeah, coons get pretty big. especially in the midwest. ive seen some the size of cocker spaniels out at the summer camp i usta work at. we had to call in the DNR they were getting so bad. Good times.

  • Never kill a raccoon they are smarter than a lot of people.

  • that raccoon is bloming huge...why do you have a raccoon in your house?

  • It's the latest thing. When are you going to get one?

  • Why is there a racoon in the house and thats not a pure bred chihauhua Lol...

  • No she is not.

  • cool

  • evil raccoon :D

  • umm i wannt a racoon but i live in ny and cant get on e unless it has rabies i dont want tht any help??

  • I know there are some breeders n the US who raise raccoons in captivity so they are healthy and disease free. You would just have to search. But unless you live on a farm or somewhere where the raccoon can get out and about I would not recommend it. or it you work all day out of your home. You will return to find your appartment torn to hell.

  • the racooon got owned lol...he jumped back on the couch lol

  • wow, those racoons are crazy, but fun.

  • He was pretty big. Over 30 lbs.

  • Yes some wild raccoons are very agressive and will attack small cats or dogs. Stitch was really scared of one of our cats.I think she looked at his as food when he was a baby. Even when Stitch was 4 time bigger than her, he was terrified of that skinny cat.

  • hahahahah, we like Law & order of course. But the music made the video more exciting.

  • In some stats raccoons who are bred in captivity are not illegal. As long as they receive their vaccinations and get vet check ups like any other cat or dog, there is no risk of rabies or any other communicable disease. There are also plenty of people out there who raise orphaned raccoon kits for future release to the wild. If you do keep them it is best to have them fixed so they will be less agresive and less likely to wander.

  • I am sorry you had a bad experience but, there are plenty of people out there who have kept raccoons until they died of old age without any violent incidents. As to putting him in a zoo, shame on you. Would you put an animal which was once in your family in a horrible place like that? Stitch was perfectly capable of surviving in the wild. He was never caged and learned to hunt and scavenge. He chose to go to the wild after 2 years with us. We still miss him. He is fat and happy.

  • You must not see many raccoons. Yes he is very real and weighed around 30 lbs.

  • Who sings it ??????

  • Not sure but I found it on YouTube

  • Who sings it ????

  • bot sure I found it here on YouTube
