@GoldenFox17 Huh, an intro song with the name of the Moon in it and made by a band with something related to the Moon's properties of night for a review of an episode with a mention of the Moon. Great choice of formfitting music and concept in the intro.
there was no doubt the Luna episode was going to be bad, yet there were some tweaks I think they could have done better. I in fact really liked the old Luna fan base yet I missed the star main of hers. The Luna character was great and I loved it yet I couldn't help notice that the voice might have changed a bit.... all and all great review and great episode
After watching this episode, I really hope that Princess Luna returns in more future episodes. She's very 3 dimensional and Tabitha St. Germain put on a spectacular performance voicing her. Highly doubt we'll get another episode centered on Luna, but if she does make future appearances just like Celestia does, then I'll be satisfied. As said before, the team has done a magnificent job on this character, and it would be a crying shame to just throw her aside until season 3.
@gyjg6564167 As for the absences of Rarity, to be honest, didn't bother me at first and still doesn't now. Considering the fact that she'll be playing a big role in the next episode with Sweetie Bell. Can't wait to see that!
Since Celestia represents light and love, would Luna represent darkness and protection? She intended her Royal Voice and intimidating appearance to inspire her subjects that they need not fear monsters with Her Majesty on patrol in the night skies...but her efforts amusingly backfired. Celestia is the velvet glove of rule, while Luna is the iron hoof.
You went over some more points that I probably should have mentioned in mine. Someone was telling me on my tumblr that I should do less plot summary, and more commentary. Though I'd like to go over the morals in each episode, and that's a little hard to do without trying to summarize the plot. And since I want to have my reviews out at least by Monday, it's harder to think of more commentary.
This episode is my favorite for now, also, Luna is awesome, and she should feel awesome. If you think about it, it makes sense that Rarity wasn't seen much, she might be working, or not wan't to go out to this "Primal arrangement", something like that :P However, a few scenes with her would have been nice. Considering Luna has same voice actress as Rarity, you did kinda get some Rarity this episode :P
What was the song that played at 0:20?
