I've read the argument about hollows being soulless or not. They do in fact have a soul. A soulless being can't go to hell and hollows do. Also you cannot cleanse a soulless being into having a soul. Orihime's brother has a soul and he was a hollow. Hollows are dead people who are "bad" or can't let go of something and just because of that doesn't mean you have no soul.

Mashiro for example at first try was able to hold her mask for 17 houers... is that short? Only Ichigo have promlems with that, rest of them can without problems fight with mask without fear.

A Vizard was originally a Shinigami that underwent "Hollowfication" which allowed them to tap into their inner Hollow.

Arrancar are extremely advanced Hollows who have gained the ability to look and speak like humans, but are really just Hollows.

Arrancar are sort of like "Nobodies" in Kingdom Hearts. They look and act like human beings, but they do not, in fact, have a soul. They act completely on instinct.
