  • 500 gr greek yoghurt, (not soft)

1 cucumber GRATED the grater cheese,

    5-6 melted garlic cloves

    1/2 teαsp salt

    2-3 tablesp vinegar

    5-6 tablesp olive oil

mix all them with a spoon

try and a little chopped dill

  • sorry but this is not tzatziki

  • why would u blend it....? tzatziki should be chunky

  • Perfect! This is the easiest recipe I've seen for this. I "LOVE" the taste of tzatziki sauce. I've been kind of apprehensive making it, but this gives me some confidence. :-)

  • So good with lamb!

  • Why dice the cucumber all nice and then turn around and put it in a blender?

  • @eddison72 so that there wont be any cucumber chunks (:

  • gia ton peonta i syntagi eleos ta exoun kanei sta metra tous re

  • eutixos pou den eixe allo kouti me alati giati tha to ebaze kai auto mesa...

  • @blondecat666 What would you term it as?

  • @holidaykitchen It is a meze, or if you want an English term, I would rather go with dip than sauce. Sauce you usually pour over something. Maybe I am just being too meticulous :-)

  • @holidaykitchen

    It's a salad.

  • i live far away from a supermarket so i used normal yogurt and it was the same only a bit runny but still delicious! i am subscribing to you.

(tip if you use to much salt add more yogurt) 1 tea spoon of extra salt you need about 2 teacups of yogurt)

  • Εδω φίλοι και φίλες παρατηρούμε μια συστηματική καταστροφή της συνταγής του Γιαουτροσκόρδιου xD

  • re blamenoi eiste come to greece to eat tzatziki whats that with the blender oust

  • karoto reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Not true.

  • i heard that if you blend olive oil it will turn poisonous

  • @AlcoholLevel lol are all those ingrediants poison funny man!

  • at 1:44

    is it windy in there??

  • @Externians No its no windy XD Its the spout on the bottle.

  • I don't really care what you babies want to call it, I would still try it and if it tastes good great, if not I won't make it again. What's in a name anyway?

  • Firstly the cucumber should be grated, Secondly traditional Tzatziki has dried and fresh mint and not fresh dill. Thirdly a little vinegar is added and not lemon juice. It's also mixed together in a bowl with a little olive oil and not blended. typical yanks fucking it up again, stick to your wendy's and taco bells cos you can't cook for toffee!

  • Guys real tzatziki here in greece is :

crushed garlic cloves(to your taste normally 2-3)

    yogurt

    shreded and dried cucumber

    olive oil

    vinegar

    salt and pepper

mix everythig together and this is how to make real tzatziki

  • blending EVO is not on my priority list.

  • Outstanding recipe thank you!!!

  • Vinegar instead of lemon, and mint instead of dill, would that do? Please greek friends, do comment (possibly in English, I don't read Greek!). Thank you

  • Filenada to gamises to tzatziki :S

  • ti malakies einai autes ??

  • esxos, auto den einai tzatziki!

  • many many faults!!!! can i ask all the chefs in abroad something? do you make Greek recipes or something that is close to a Greek food?

  • Lemon and Vinegar are both comparable substitutes. We make barbeque sauce using lemon juice instead of vinegar. Calm down. It's like saying its not tzatziki because they used a different kind of salt. I'm sure both are great.

  • Have some mercy.......

    Please get real......

  • that is not reaL TZATZIKI

  • You people are unbelivable. Tzatziki? This is not tzatziki it is something that looks like it. And you show this stuff on TV? Get a recipe book, please.

  • Sorry , anyone , What is name of this Leaves that she use???? this green leaves :O please anyone can help me ...My english is not good..And i cant understand well

  • Dill in video - I would use mint leaves.

  • yes, dried mint leaves are the way to go.

  • @dreamygirl987 That was not tzatziki. If you want to make real tzatziki dont use these leaves and the lemon juice.Just add vinegar and pepper and instead of blender use a spoon and just mix them for a minute!Trust me.I am Greek and I know.I eat tzatziki almost every week

  • @dreamygirl987 Fresh Dill

  • Thats not tzatziki darling

Tzatziki is made by adding yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper!

    None uses lemon in tzatziki

    Grom Greece with love

  • xaxa swstos... tzatziki sto blender ...???? eleos

  • auto den einai tzatziki

    einai gamiseta

  • Comment removed

  • i dont think so that we make it with lemon

  • eleos:P

  • Well, here in Greece is our traditional food along with souvlaki....

  • First of all thats not greek and its not tzatziki. Its a turkish-bulgarian-macedonian dish and its called tarator.Learn first and then post videos whit wrong names!

  • yes it is, you dont know what youre talking about. This is called Tzatziki and it is greek, its a sauce to put on souvlaki. Tarator is a soup not a sauce, ass.

  • @Mariodelossantos Haha, but that isn't fair or nice...mind you I mad my arbic class, all strict muslims save 2 including me this cake with loads of brandy in, didn't notice. But i wouldn't give them pork!

  • that is not cool at all. Pork is strictly prohibited in Islam and Judaism because its an unclean and scavenger animal. Why would you do that?

  • @sabbirsa People do it because we consider religions that endorse stupid dietary restrictions are considered retarded by intelligent people.

  • @Mariodelossantos What the fuck?

  • @Mariodelossantos

good job man.. that s nice to hear xD

they gonna eat pork whether they want or not lol

  • @Mariodelossantos are they aware that it's pork? because Muslim people don't eat pork.

  • @Mariodelossantos

    oh no you d-IN'TTT!!!

  • greek kebaps are not from lamb. Greeks use pork. Muslims are using lamb.

  • i'm going to make it

cause my husband loves it so much!

  • that makes me so hungry lol looks great

  • how many servings does this recipe make??

  • wont the oil layer from the rest of the ingredients?

  • its a small amount of oil that gets blended in, the result is thick enough that it doesnt allow for the different constituents to flow and separate

  • Looks tastey. I call my lamb kabobs "souvlaki" and roast them after soaking in a marinade of lemon, garlic, cummin, and mint.

For my tzatziki I finely mince the cucumber then dry by pressing between paper towels and also use fresh kirbys and finely dice the skins which are added separately.

I will try your method though.

    Nice video, thanks.
