atiu88, the goal of socialism is to create a society where no single person is economically advantaged over another. Therefore, government allocates property for individual use. Will the government give every citizen of North Korea a bluray disc player?
Thanks for upload this, i always think that NK has no technology, even DVD or computers. Do you know how can i get this channel on air by internet web site??
It is a big misconception that DPRK has no technology and is being left behind. But this video and the other video shows that DPRK has 3G mobile phone already and now Blu-ray DVD.
This video merely describes the general trend of the world moving towards better digital data storage options but fails to acknowledge that it will definitely take much, much longer for North Koreans to catch up with the pace, due to 'his' poor economy. This can be seen by watching programmes of Korean Central TV Station, which do not even meet the SDTV(standard definition) standard.
North Korea is on par technology wise with the rest of the world. Stop lying on the DPRK, Yankee media!

There's also a bunch of crap at 6:18. DVDs come in either regular 4.7GB or dual-layer 8.5. Where the hell did you get 9.4 or 17?

If you would have taken five seconds to use google, there are also 9.4 and 17 GB DVDs. Stop clowning around.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure that either the "American imperialists" or the "Japanese dogs" invented these disc formats for you. Bunch of hypocrites.

Socialism allows the existence of private property, where pure Marxism calls for the abolition of such. The DPRK isn't a pure Marxist republic.

FYI: The DPRK started relay reception by a communication satellite in October 1999.
Its color television follows the PAL system with 625 scanning lines.

In the video, at the DVD part, it also introduces to HD DVD and Blu-ray DVD which are the new DVD technology.

I know. But when can North Koreans really start to enjoy Blu-ray? The Blu-ray players and discs are quite expensive now, even in other countries.
huaqing 2 years ago
The video shows that every country is moving towards the trend of times including the DPRK.
It shows that Blu-ray is a new technology in the field of DVD, as with new techinology it is expensive at first as with other countries.
