  • Thank you for this. You will do well. I love history (yes, American boys can love history LOL) Your voice is beautiful. This boy from the Mighty Great Lakes appreciates your talent. Good luck!

  • @TheKallTrail Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • Beautiful and heartbreaking song...

  • I had heard of this story where both sides got together in the war to silent night first a bavarian song. Never heard the song before before though well done .

  • Thank you! John McCutcheon is a genius. :)

  • You made me cry... ^^

Didn't know this song. Real Christmas spirit. Thanks!!!

  • Thanks! Not sure if anyone noticed, but I barely got through it without bawling myself. It's a great song.

  • You have such a beautiful voice! I hope you'll post more video's in the new year, with or without the harp:)

  • I hope to, thanks! Not sure what on earth made me wait a year between posting. I do have some audio tech issues to work out *grumble* but that's no excuse!

  • Thank you SO much for posting this.

You are always a joy, Molly,

and this is an inspirational song.

You have the true artist's touch.

I'm getting a mountain dulcimer for Christmas

and I can't wait to get to know it!

  • Thanks, Shas! Good luck with the dulcimer. I think you'll love it!

  • Thanks for posting another beautiful video! I love the song, your singing and your dulcimer playing (and the dress, too)!

  • Thanks, Joan! This song has been a staple of our family Christmases for years. Now I suppose I'm not going to get away with not bringing my dulcimer to family reunions anymore!

  • Love the song and the dress :)

  • Thanks...me too! I have a thing for flowy sleeves. :)

  • You should post videos more often, you have a pretty voice. I like this song. The 1914 truce was a rare event, one of the few inspiring moments in terrible war that went on for years more than people expected it to.

  • Thank you! Yes, I know it's been over a year...yikes! and then my first video in over a year doesn't even have harp in it! Go figure. :)

This story truly inspires me, and the song even more so.

  • Lovely! I don't mind it's not a harp.

  • Thanks, Meg! I was a little nervous, since most of my subscribers are harp fans...

  • I love anyone making music of any sort, well mostly!!

  • @mollificent Your harp playing is amazing and although the music you make with your harp is my favourite, this is also beautiful.

  • It's sounds lovely!

  • Thank you! (The audio has some issues, but only if you're listening it through L/R speakers or headphones. Tech-savvy is NOT my middle name. ;))

  • AUGH! WHAT is wrong with the audio???
