what's the use of the subimage?and what's with the negative value -1?and one last question why does he at some directions he selects left and speed 0.5 and at some he selects still(fix) and speed 0

i have a problem there: how can I apply the animation for movement to an NPC that walks around randomly? You trigger that by pressing a button but it should activate the animation right WHEN you are moving...

I just can't find a video that describes this...

@mag2XYZ I'm a beginner to, but I know quite a bit, but, what do you mean, do you want it to like control an NPC? Or do you want it to make the NPC walk around randomly, still changing it's sprite?

@armour51 what I meant is that I wanted to have a randomly walking NPC which changes it's sprite according to the direction it's moving and I couldn't manage to program it like that.

Right now I am actually not into it anymore and I stopped trying to make a game some time ago...

Arrghh It's always the same! If you do it this way he stops if you hod 2 buttons down and then release of them.. I just wanna know how to do it without those release things but so he still stops..
