  • Can women be C.R.O. In the Air-Force? I think they can I'm jus making sure

  • @172Lauren No, males only.

  • As a former pj FEW '"CAN MAKE THE CUT" ..... if you go for it... NEVER QUIT! Forget that word or concept exsist... then (if your body lets you) U can do it... NEVER QUIT!

  • I know this v-neck wearing hipster wanted to join the USAF for the benefits. I told that bastard, "You better straighten out your attitude because the AF don't want to recruit a lazy ass that freeloads people's rides. Just leave all the hipster douche bag crap at home."

  • @RichKilla86ers Air Force was the Place for Us Lazy Hipsters to go to and Prosper.

  • @missjerseyz2008 correct. At least US Armed Forces can build up their disciplines and strong resumes.

  • Totally B.A. ☆

  • Bad asses. Right up there with SEALS.

  • @BerserkaViking When seals need rescuing they call the PJ's

  • i find it funny how i didnt evan know there was an arument going on lmao.. everytime i answer i thought it was just a convertion lol. come on guys lets not fight.. we can all agree that they are the best at what they do. right?

  • @latino286 Amen

  • @latino286 learn how to spell..

  • "I think I have the best job in the world" No, you DO have the best job in the world.

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone know if in a NATO mission if a US ally aircraft was shot down and that country didn't have a combat SAR team if PJ's could be dispatched? In Canada we have SARTECH's, Search and Rescue Technicians that will do civilian rescue, down planes, off ships, in the woods etc but I don't think they ever would fill a combat SAR role.

  • badass

  • My son is in the Pipeline. It is very difficult, extreme tests of every part of a young man - but he was MADE to do it.

  • It is my duty as a Pararescueman to save life and to aid the injured. I will be prepared at all times to perform my assigned duties quickly and efficiently, placing these duties before personal desires and comforts. These things I do, "That Others May Live.".

  • "that others may live"

  • I read that PJ training begins immediately after basic. Is this true? Or can you go to PJ training whenever after basic if your qualified, recommended, Etc...

  • @lrshero1 I heard you do it right after basic. Or during basic. not really sure but you dont get to choose when you go tho

  • PJ's are the cream of the crop, the marines and army depend on these guys so much to get them out of tough situations. I am only 16 but so far my goal in life is to be a PJ.

  • you gotta train for the training, thats how tough it is to get into this job....im STILL training to train lol

  • This way of life is apart of all my dreams! I AM going to wear the PJ patch one day and I look forward to saving lives.

  • hidingereric: The Air Force has CRO Combat Rescue Officer. They are officers who are PJs but are called CRO. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

  • i want too doo this soooo bad : (

  • This video was in the game they made

  • Idaho, you don't need a college education for All of the jobs, while for other jobs you do, such as a pilot, or to be an officer

  • wait dont you need a college education to get in the airforce?

  • "That others may live". Live for it, die for it.

  • You can def be an a officer in the pj's since my father is one.

  • @mcwalshinator they're called CRO's (Combat Rescue Officers), but they are not PJs....very similar though

  • Crazy stuff...it's so above and beyond ! HONOR

  • I've worked with PJs. Even in these videos they make shit look like hollywood

  • @Rescueswimmer85 it isnt hollywood? Aww LOL. nah but what are u talking about u fruit, im enlisting next week MOS Pararescue . how was ur experience with them?

  • @squarecnix wasn't too bad bro, but you'll get more training and what not due to the Air Force taking care of their people. If you have any questions or need some info email me directly at Rescueswimmer85@aol

    stay safe man

  • are they only the men in the field or do the pjs include their own pilots?

  • you have to be enlisted to do this, in other words you can't be an officer and be a pj.

  • @hidingereric yes u can be an officer and be a PJ every ops needs ther leader look it up ther evan a video on that show the officers training to be PJs and how harder it is.

  • @latino286 this is true cause thats wat im going to do you should do your research hidingereric

  • @latino286 can i get a link to that vid please? im working on a scholership to the AF acadamy, and would like some information on officer PJ's.

  • @latino286 theyre called CRO's. Yes they are PJs buttt like you said they're the leaders and don't usually jump and do all the crazy stuff.

  • @latino286 negative, officers cannot be Pararescumen, or PJ's. The "leaders" you are refering to are Combat Rescue Officers, or CRO's.

They go through much of the same training, but do not take the paramedic course, mainly because they are more hands off. and managerial. instead they coordinate rescue helo's and or other leadership roles.

  • @latino286 you're talking about Combat Rescue Officers, you're right they are leaders of the Pararescuemen. However, they don't get near as much action as the enlisted do. The CRO's are not the squad leaders of PJs.

  • @latino286 no he is correct...you cannot be an officer and be a PJ (Paraescueman). Your thinking of CRO's (Combat Rescue Officers). They go through most of the training pararescuemen go through, but they are not PJs, they're CRO's. There are also differences between them like the level of medical training etc...

  • @latino286 They are called Combat Rescue Officers, or CROs

They are not exactly PJ's but they are the overseeing active officers of PJ's

  • @latino286 Actually you can't be a PJ and be an officer, the officers in this career field are CRO's or Combat Rescue Officers.

  • @latino286 Actually you can't be a PJ and be an officer, the officers in this career field are CRO's or Combat Rescue Officers.

  • @latino286 Nah bro, enlisted guys are PJ's, Officers are CRO's (Combat rescue officers). The officers have leadership training but do not have the medical skills PJ's possess.

  • @latino286 its ture because they are spec ops and even CCT

  • @latino286

... The AFSC of PJ and CRO are different. As an officer 'PJ', you are a CRO (combat rescue officer). There is a difference.

  • @PumaRacing88 i bet my rotc instrocto will argue that

  • @latino286

The Combat Rescue Officer is the equivalent to a PJ but is an officer. It is a relatively new position; a few years ago they decided to make an officer position for it. There is nothing to argue here, it is a simple fact. Look it up on the Air Force website.

  • @latino286

i think you guys are arguing over technicalities. you're both right.

the CRO is the officer counterpart of a PJ. essentially, they are the same thing. they're just called different things and have different AFSCs.

  • @latino286 hey can't because, Puma is 100% correct in that CROs and PJs are different. Same job same task, but CROs are officers and thus are in charge of PJs and deal with the higher ups.

  • @latino286 i bet he wont

  • @latino286 the only differnece is they go to seperate indoc training, one for enlisted and one for officers

  • @PumaRacing88 A CRO is still a "J". Our CRO candidate was with us through the entire pipeline - the only difference in training is that a CRO is required to complete Phase II before indoc, and they go to a leadership training course while we are in EMT school.

  • @latino286 technically, he is right, you can NOT be an officer and be a PJ. You can, however, be a CRO (Combat Rescue Officer) and you must be an officer to do so obviously. The officers you see training along side the enlisted guys are most likely going through INDOC or other PIPELINE training. Just wanted to clarify :) Have a great Air Force Day!!!

  • @latino286 What exactly do you mean when you state that "...officers training to be PJs and how harder it is." I was thinking of going in as an officer because I want to get my b.d. in university and then go into the USAF were I'll be checking out the Search and Rescue officer. How is it harder? Can you reply back to me asap please?! thanks and God bless you.

  • @hidingereric

Combat Rescue Officers are PJs that are officers.

  • @hidingereric actually, there are no Officer PJs - they're known as Combat Rescue Officers

  • @hidingereric Yes you can. They are called Combat Rescue Officers or CRO's

if you are not a PJ yourself, stop trying to give people advice about the profession......

  • @hidingereric

    Lol "can´t be an officer"

    Get real kid.

  • @viktore86 hes right pj's who are officers are called CRO's

  • @hidingereric

    CRO.

  • @hidingereric there called rescue officers instead

  • @hidingereric yeah you can just that there called rescue officers look it up

  • @hidingereric Actually you can be an officer. Its Called a C.R.O. (Combat Rescue Officer) if I remember correctly.

  • @hidingereric The officer program is fairly recent. before that they had to go through their aircraft commander.

  • latino, if you contact your local USAF recruiter he will give you a list of requirements needed to complete the training portion. start training now. im a junior in highschool and iv already enlisted in delayed. pararescue for life.

  • this is like my dream. anyone got any tips on the best way to get as phiscaly fir for this job would be great

  • @AA781228 I'll try to help out as much as I can. I've been doing a lot of running and swimming as well as some core strengths type stuff. The most important though is the swimming part because thats what gets most guys during the PAST qualifying test. If you go into this prepared both mentally and physically, your set. Good luck! I just turned in all my papers, so I'm hopefully taking the ASVAB in about a week! Basic should be in about 6 months, and then off to indoc!

  • @panfrick good luck. im going to have to find a plase to swim now. i dont have a pool anymore and the closest ymca is like an hour away. thanks for the tips though your great

  • Leave no one behind. I love this about the US military. My dream is to become a para medic in the special forces.

I soon finished my 3 years of college to become a nurse. I think i will get some experience in a hospital first and then join the army or airforce in my country.

is it posible to be accpted into the US military? Im not American :P

I know a guy who knows a guy who was accepted into the US military and later Green Berets, but that was like 20-30 years ago.

  • @Ialocin85 yes its my brother friend came from fance to study here and after he graduated college he joined the air force wat u can do is go to u.s. airforce website and email a Recruiter

  • @Ialocin85 Good luck man, I appreciate you wanting to serve our country... Im trying to become a pilot..

  • @Ialocin85

Yes you can, but womne cannot do SOF, if you want the closest to para or SOF, then go to the Coast Guard *u.s*

  • this most likely what im doing

  • ho-ya!!!

    about 5 more years

    damn cant wait!!!

  • Hooya...i can't wait for indoc.

  • Indoc can't wait for you

  • hooah, and btw i hope you are in the best physical shape as possible. that way, your only worry will be mental. good luck and God bless.

  • So others may live.

  • "that others may live"

  • So other's may live.
