Oil is not going to last forever, and right now is becoming dirtier & dirtier. There is no shortage of energy, just don't be lazy about it. Denmark put a price on carbon many decades ago and they now produce near 25% of their energy from wind etc. Also making money selling their technologies. Putting a price on carbon raised so much funds that was invested and they are now reaping good results.

It's a waste of time and space. We have plenty of windmills here near Palm Springs, and they are ugly and take up miles and miles of space for one little city. And it's still not enough. Until they come up with something involving the sun that's efficient, and cost effective, nuclear or fossil fuel is the only way.

Why keep repeating the bogus context that CO2 helps plants? That's like saying smoke (in any quantity) is fine because it makes beef taste good. Anything in moderation can be OK but that's beside the point!
Try to sleep in a tiny sealed room and see how much of a "life giving gas" CO2 is after the breathable oxygen is depleted. It's devious to ignore the context of how a gas affects its surroundings. It's been known since the 1800s that CO2 is a strong greenhouse gas per its relative quantity.

But the impact of human beings have always been counterbalanced by the impacts of other human beings and of the environment.
