I just realized something that the Matrix trilogy has in common with Dragonball Z: The heroes, Neo and Goku, are only addressed by their old, rejected names by their arch-rivals, Agent Smith and Vegeta respectively.

Vegeta always calls Goku "Kakarot", his Saiyan name, and Agent Smith calls Neo "Mr. Anderson", his name when he was still trapped in the matrix. I guess it's to emphasize their contempt for the protagonist.

are you insane, the chase sequence is awesome?!!! have you studied it closley, there are so many points where you can clearly see ramps that fliped that cars, the road sequence could have been awesome but there it looked crappy... Cars when flipping into the air for no reason... All show and nothing for the plot... Reloaded sucked, they choose to give morpheus a backseat role when he owned as the teacher in the first film... The film had no soul, PS: if you want a good chase then watch Ronin.

i watched it in a good cinema. good entertainment the first time round, i remember being so bloody hyped to see this film. And it seemed like it had lived up to the expectations the first time i saw it, but the film has no lasting value like the original does. I think the wakaski brothers actually tried to make it a great film and not a money grabbing blockbuster. But i believe they failed, to much action, not enough soul. And way too much use of the green color grading. A good stoner film thoug

well you cant just have the first one to tell the whole story. you need the 2nd and 3rd one to finish it or we would all be hanging on what happened to Neo and Trinity etc. The first one just set up the plot and the sequels elaborated and expanded it to finish it. Same as Spiderman but it completely sucked.

Everything that happened in Reloaded was set up in the first one. Most people, when unable to understand the plot of a movie, assume that there is no plot.

The third one has a lot more reasons people could hate it, but Reloaded was deeper, more complex, and expanded the story.

Everyone accuses Reloaded as just being action, no substance. Well, last I checked this movie added so many layers to the plot, advanced it, made a more complex story and still kept you entertained. The first and third were great, just they didn't bring this much to the series. Reloaded is easily my favorite.
