I've listened to this like 20 times in the last three days (I'm learning the solo for my guitar class) and it never gets old. So thankful for great music like this.
In an interview I read Clapton said "I'm not sure what all the fuss is. I played it better on other nights". I hear a raw power that is only heard on one or two other things he did (Sleepy Time perhaps). A moving solo especially the second part.
My old friend Willie Brown was a real person, another blues singer from the early nineteen hundreds, was cool that he is mentioned in this song!
