trying to compare zach to boots is like trying to compare a viper to a cobra, they may both be the same kind of animal but the poison they eject from their mouths is completely different, in my book its like trying to compare steven tyler to chris cornell or an apple to an orange, its two completely different styles and two completely different people, what it really boils down to is preferences, i prefer zach because he is better at conveying anger and in these days, we need to get angry

The age old debate of "nawh, Soundgarden were better." "Nawh, Rage were better." "Nawh Audioslave were better." The fact is, Tom Morello and Zack De La Rocha will always be in one band or another. The music industry is their lives, if they quit music, they'd be homeless within 6 months.

I too wish that RATm would put together another masterpiece, but in the meantime I'm happy that Tom is back to doing badass rock/rap songs. I like this album and think the Boots/Morello collaboration has some pretty awesome moments.

As much as I love Rage, I don't think Zack would be near as good a vocalist for this band. Boots is much better suited for this. He's not constantly yelling, grunting, overall being angry. He's calm yet still conveys the message he wants to.

@taylorha123 while I do think your point is valid, Zack still made an amazing singer. It was that anger that made people really turn their heads and say, "Whoa, that shit really is serious!" Boots is doing a great job, couldn't ask for anyone better to sing these rhymes, but don't rag on Zack for his anger. He came from a life dealing with racism and hatred all of his life, so maybe he deserves to spread a little back in the faces of the rich white assholes who troubled him all those years.

@katothewhitedevil Soundgarden actually is getting back together. Cornell posted on his Twitter and facebook on New Years Eve, hinting a 2010 reunion. I don't know if that means new material, or just concerts. Either way it's good news.
