It takes a lot of concentration,but you can decipher a lot of words the more you listen to his album,The Downward Spiral. Also the Whispering and scratching sounds are put together out of timing,in other words the wording,(or scratching/whispering/harmonic distorted noise),is stretched and/or slowed down quite a bit in order to trick the ears into missing the point. One word may have a combination of different modulated frequencies/noises etc...........
