She checked herself out of the hospital (I'm taking my IV and going home) for her 40th birthday celebration which included a two mile run for all the party goers. YES, she led the way. In all honesty, it wasn't just the party that drove her to get out of the ten day prescribed hospital stay, he two wonderful children were starting the new school year and she knew her place was getting them out the door.
I finally saw this video. I know Kathy. Not extremely close but we went to the same high school and I was always chasing her running records. I came within one second but never beat her record. She has always been kind of an idol for me. Our sons are the same age and ran fun run track meets last summer together.Ian always won.This video actually made me cry.She is still my idol,and watching this had made me make a doctor's appointment(well overdue).
This is the first time I have seen this segment on The View. It made me so sad because my sister died of breast cancer at the age of 30. She was diagnosed while nuring her 6 month old twins.
