I'm an American and I was allowed to film everything except when the children performed in Arirang, and also whenever a military convoy would pass us. I noticed that Chinese people could film anything they wanted without any hassling.

They don't know how to act. Some smile, especially kids. We had two tour guides with us. One kept asking me questions about how I knew what I knoew about his country, as I think he thought I was a spy. The other guy was a huge UFC and Gina Carano fan :) I asked how he knew UFC and he paused and said "My little secret".
He says "there's like, loads of plates" to try and demonstrate his point that they're trying to show they have a lot of food. It's exactly the same in South Korea, it's not some propaganda stunt, that's literally how food is served in Korean culture. I went to that very restaurant in Kaesong. The food was alright, they had some really good beer though. North Korea needs to get with it.

@gp4nut I know what you mean. The reason he got many small dishes, is because that is traditoinal korean style for celebration, gatherings, holidays, things like that. Also, I never saw a picture of the food. Why not just show the food and let the viewers decide? He might have found it personally objectionable, but that does not mean it was truly bad.

@telesniper2 yeah in Korea or Korean restaurants, it is normal to get all those small dishes. Despite the hefty preparation, Koreans like to eat well. This stuff is normal at any dinner table regardless of occasion.
The presenter is a little funny at times but pretty cringeworthy most of the time! :D
