Thomas was a key part of my childhood many the time spent watching the stories narrated by Ringo Star and learning about real railway practice in te process, now I like the addition of some of the newer engines the Q1 etc but CGI and Americanisation are the wrong way to go for TTTE also the copyright that railways have to pay for just painting an engine blue and putting a face on it is ridiculas, I worked at a railway where we had a blue 0-6-0 tank engine and know of this problem greatly

@JSonicX7 well I donno, I think HiT bought thomas some where around the year 2000 and my favourite episodes are from the 80's and 90's. But kids from today probably wouldn't like those episodes so they had to make them more modern. And they are making the episodes for todays kids and not for old thomas fans, so actually we shouldn't be complaining. So all old thomas fans should just be watching those old episodes that they like and let the kids of today watch these newer episodes that they like.
