It's 2:18am and I just got off of work. I watched your video while eating a bowl of generic Cheerios, and found it to be so relaxing. I am pretty good at heavy metal, but I want to learn what you are doing there. Great stuff, miss. Awesome. Check out a band called Hiromi Uehara. One of the best drummers I've ever seen.
Man, you have such a good touch on the kit! I noticed when Mike finds the one thing he can't do he just starts doing it really slowly and keeps repeating it.
This sounds weird, but I have been practicing not listening to the particular tones that are being produced when I'm playing patterns so that I can orchestrate them differently on the fly and without screwing them up time wise because it sounded different. Mike seems to be testing me on that every lesson.
Thank you for the comment. How are you practicing and not listening to the tones of the drums? Do you use drum mutes or one of those practice pad kits? I think you are right about training your ear as much as your body to allow more freedom while playing.
Wow Sarah... that was smooth as butter! I loved the feel you gave it, playing softly like that. Yes!!! That's what I'm talking about. Loud is not everything. FEEL is everything and you are on the right path. Stay on that path. I'm so proud of you. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for the comments - I really appreciate it. Someday I will be posting another nanigo version with cross-stick at the beginning. I've been working on it per your instructions. :-)
I think it sounded great Sarah, I allso have that problem of hearing alot in my head and not being able to execute it, so I know the feeling,Whats been best for me is just feel it out and play it even if it sounds bad just let it out,and then something really good can come out of it. Keep up the awesome work.

Great playing!
I'd suggest a different crash though, it sounds quite monotonous. I'm going to assume its Zildjian?
