  • On a map of the uk it shows you northern Ireland and Ireland its name isn't southern ireland its Ireland !

  • The state of Northern Ireland is NOT in Britain, Great of Otherwise. it is in the UNITED KINGDOM. ULSTER is ALL-Ireland's oldest province so how could it POSSIBLY be in Britain? How could thestate of "southern" ireland be POSSIBLY called Ireland. It is clearly THREE QUARTERS of Ireland. Study the map again!

And Racklin Island is called RACKLIN ISLAND in Irish.

  • J.F.K. NEVER VISITED IRELAND. HE VISITED SOUTHERN IRELAND. THREE QUARTERS OF IRELAND. SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF IRELAND. GOT IT?

IN CASE NOT, LET ME REPEAT: SOUTHERN IRELAND, THREE QUARTERS OF IRELAND, SEVENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF IRELAND. GOT IT YET? LOOK, JUST BUY A GEOGRAPHY BOOK, AN ATLAS, AND STUDY THE MAP OF THE BRITISH ISLES, ESPECIALLY IRELAND. OH, AND "THE ANGLO-CELT ISLES" IS ANOTHER NAME FOR "THE BRITISH ISLES". CHECK THAT ONE UP, TOO, IN YOUR ATLAS. YOU DO KNOW WHAT AN ATLAS, DON'T YOU?

  • @squirell1952 The WHOLE of Ireland,NORTH and SOUTH is called IRELAND u fucking retard.

  • @squirell1952 JFK visited the Republic of Ireland which is more commonly referred to as "IRELAND". NORTHERN IRELAND IS PART OF GREAT BRITAIN AND THAT IS WHERE MY ANCESTORS ARE FROM ON RATHLIN ISLAND.

  • It's nice to see how proud they where of JFKf

  • Kennedy is one of the greatest presidents in all of history!

  • @JosephStalin11 - J.F.K. is responsible for the jailing of NELSON MANDELA. So how does that make him so great? Mandela, yes. Kennedy? No. Never.

  • Why all the fuss over JFK? A man responsible for the Bay of Pigs fiasco, which led, in part to the Cuban Missile crisis, when the world was on the brink of nuclear annihilation. Increasing US involvement in Vietnam, operation strategic hamlet, the overthrow of Diem and increasing the number of "advisors" from 675 to 16000. 50 "advisors" killed during his presidency. Earlier in his career he failed to condemn MacCarthy. Yet people still believe the myth- crazy!

  • @ShahOfBlahII

JFK wanted to retreat from Vietnam. In fact he had signed an act whereby he ordered the complete retreat from Vietnam by 1965. It was Johnson who reversed this policy and escalated the war in Vietnam. So God bless JFK I say.

  • @93rardo What act? Some talk of reducing the number of "advisors" by 1000, but nothing was agreed. This claim comes from MacNamara, someone else with blood on his hands it is suspect. Us military were refered to as advisors to avoid the Geneva agreement. Duplicity went right through his career, his dubious war record relying on Southern segregationists to get the Democratic nomination, CIA backed coup in Iraq, initially distancing himself from the Civil Rights Movement amongst others

  • @ShahOfBlahII

What do you mean with some talk about retreating 1000 troops. It was a Presidential Directive (NSAM 263), not talk. It was signed on October 11, 1963. JFK probably signed his own death warrant because he was assasinated a few week later. Four days after Kennedy's death NSAM 263 was reversed by Johnson's Directive NSAM 273.

  • @93rardo That was the withdrawl of 1000 "advisors". Which was unlikely to have been enacted following the chaos caused by the assasination of Diem. There was never any enquiry into the death of Diem (although numerous enquiries into the assassination of JFK,) I wonder why?

  • @ShahOfBlahII

We'll never know for sure what would have happened in Vietnam if JFK had lived, but the Presidential Directive NSAM 263 was not reversed by Kennedy after the coup on Diem. The reversal happened under Johnson. Also don't forget that he was very popular in the USA with high approval ratings so he must have done something right.

  • @93rardo Domestically he turned the economy round. I still beleive his foreign policy leaves alot to be desired.LBJ takes all the flak for the Vietnam war, the truth is the US was on the slippery slope long before, possibly since Eisenhower. Sadly some people have a worrying tendency to beleive in an infallible leader, which taken to an extreme could be dangerous. In any event JFK simply was not that

  • @ShahOfBlahII

Agreed, JFK was not infallible. He admitted himself publicly that the failure of the Bay of Pigs was his responsibility and of course he wouldn't have the legendary status he has now if he hadn't been assasinated. Still , I think he was on the right track and that the world would have been better off if he hadn't been killed.

  • @ShahOfBlahII Under JFK we had no combat status troops in Vietnam, & he ordered via NSM263 all troops withdrawn at the rate of 1k per mo. He had negotiated peace in Laos, Berlin, over Cuba, & toward Indonesia, & was NEVER going to go to war in Vietnam. He said this to Dave Powers, Ken O' Brien, Tip O' Neil, Mike Mansfield, & many others. LBJ, vowed within 24 hrs of JFK's death to "win the war in Vietnam," 48 hrs later reversed JFK's withdrawal via NSM273, & committed us to combat & disaster.

  • @WALRU11 "LBJ, vowed within 24 hrs of JFKs death to " win the war in Vietnam". That does raise the question - What war? JFK increased the number of "advisors" from 675 to 16,000. 50 of whom had already been killed. Only referred to as advisors as a means of avoiding the Geneva accord. Peace in Laos? That country is the most bombed country in the world. The only withdrawl I am aware of was of 1000 advisors, unlikely to be enacted following the assasination of Diem and the chaos that followed

  • @ShahOfBlahII You're engaging in revisionism. NSM263 was a standing order for phased withdrawal of all troops from Vietnam @ the rate of 1k per mo. It's why Lodge & Conein undermined JFK by having Diem killed in order to seek retention of troops, but JFK remained committed to withdrawal as he told McNamara, Powers, O'Brien, Mansfield, O'Neill & others. He was NEVER going to allow U.S. combat status in Vietnam, which he stated publicly & privately. It was "their war & they have to fight it."

  • @ShahOfBlahII JFK offered options for Diem to stay if he imposed the socio-political reforms needed to stabilize his otherwise untenable regime - or, safe passage out of the country. On Nov. 2 Diem phoned Lodge asking him to relay to JFK his acceptance of the terms. As Lodge's aide, Col. Dunn related, Lodge lied, saying he would do so, but instead, he phoned Lucien Conein to tell him Diem's location to ensure his assassination. JFK was furious & vowed to recall Lodge after his trip to Texas.

  • @WALRU11 Poor old JFK! Everyone around him was a complete imbecile, unlike the sainted JFK. Maybe I am being cynical but some people have a need to believe in a strong and infallible leader. Also some Americans seem to look on him as some kind of "alibi". If only he had lived everything would have been better. As if pre 1963 USA was some kind of "paradise lost"

  • @ShahOfBlahII FYI: coups are traitorously enacted to impose a "regime change." The aftermath of the JFK assassination was a near-total reversion of his programs & policies by his 1960 foe, supported by war hawk military leaders, CIA, FBI, Republicans, "DIxiecrats," Big Business, the Mafia, & a conservative mass media. JFK was removed as an unwanted interrruption between establishment figures Ike & LBJ whose carte blanche approval allowed these socio-political elements to dominate. Capiche?

  • @WALRU11 Total reversal? US troops were already in Vietnam. A fact that JFK lied about in January of 1962. Lodge was appointed by JFK and was given the contradictory advice "that no initiative.. to give any encouragement to a coup" Whilst alsoto " identify and build contacts as and when they appear"The Military assistance command (MACV) was also established under JFK in Feb 1962

  • @ShahOfBlahII FYI: 1st U.S. military death in Vietnam was in 1945. When Ike refused to sign the '54 peace agreement because a poll showed Ho would be elected, he sent troops in. JFK boosted levels, 61-62, to train SV troops to fight their own war. He never approved U.S. combat capacity & was vehemently opposed to it. He was trying to pressure Diem into reforms & guaranteed him safe passage out, which Lodge countermanded. His aide, Col. Mike Dunn testified as to Lodge's betrayal of JFK & DIem.

  • @WALRU11 One thing I forgot to mention was that Operation Ranch Hand was established during his Presidency. This led to de-foliants being used over Vietnam until 1971.He was nowhere near all he was cracked up to be

  • @ShahOfBlahII I never said he was perfect, but FYI: only at the repeated insistence of Diem & LeMay, did JFK reluctantly approved a limited test run of Agent Blue in Oct. of 1962 (when JCOS found it advantageous to foist it upon him during the Cuban Missile Crisis). He was so opposed to it, that LeMay thereafter found a way to circumvent him and acquire approval for further uses via MACV and Lodge. The use of herbicides escalated only after JFK’s removal.

  • @ShahOfBlahII I've never said he was perfect, but FYI: only at the repeated insistence of Diem & LeMay, did JFK reluctantly approve a limited test run of Agent Blue in Oct. of 1962 (when JCOS found it advantageous to foist it upon him during the Cuban Missile Crisis). He was so opposed to it, that LeMay thereafter found a way to circumvent him and acquire approval for further uses via MACV and Lodge. The use of herbicides escalated only after JFK’s removal.

  • @ShahOfBlahII Don't be fooled by his posthumous assassination. JFK's war record was one of courage & valor under fire. In his '60 campaign he saved ML King Jr.'s life by intervening for his release from a GA prison (despite King’s father backing Nixon) & on 6/11/63 publicly committed the presidency to black civil rights, championing this cause. JFK opposed CIA coups & tried to wrest power back from the rogue agency, firing its top echelon & dispatching SS & FBI to break up their mutinous ops.

  • @ShahOfBlahII JFK was not "responsible for the bay of Pig fiasco." As the CIA Inspector General's report verifies, Dulles knew success was impossible but foisted this untenable plot on JFK in order to force his hand for a fullscale U.S. invasion. When JFK refused, the CIA sabotaged its own op in order to force a rift between the US & USSR. He fired Dulles, Bissell, & Cabell & issued NSM 55, 56, & 57 stripping the agency of power. Rejecting Op Northwoods, JFK prevented WWIII in 1962.

  • @WALRU11 Not responsible? He was only the President! That is a bit like blaming Rumsfeld and Cheney for the Iraq war, they may not have helped but Bush has to take responsibility. Whatever happened " to the buck stops here"? Shame he did not dismiss them before the Bay of Pigs, now nthat would have been statesmanship.Castro is on record as having said that the revolution was week before the Bay of Pigs and strong after it.

  • @ShahOfBlahII Your personal bias does not supercede the facts in the CIA's own internal investigation that admitted betrayal by its own DOA. Op Zapata was planned under Ike, Nixon, Allen Dulles, Prescott & George Bush. When JFK won the election & ordered, no direct U.S. involvement, Dulles lied & betrayed him in order to force a U.S. invasion. That's fact which you wish to ignore. JFK could not have called off the invasion after over a year of CIA planning & training. He took responsibility.

  • he is the greatest President ever no other president is like. Bill clinton comes close though RIP

  • @drmop2 What??? He was an animal who took the World to the brink of a Nuclear holocaust to suit his own vanity! Get real! He was debauched, a sinner and thats why he died!

  • @danblagger

No, he was a noble man.

  • T_T

  • The CIA left us irish down badly , will be forever missed , just hope the CIA dont mess it up with barack obama ,

    Erin go bragh

    IRA

  • Thank you Mr.President

  • One of the few Democrats in History I can respect.

  • He was very much in favor of a united Ireland.Your tryn to tell be the opinion of the leader of the most powerful nation of in the world wouldnt have any effect what so ever? dont be so ignorant. The support of America helped force the hand of britian in 1921 when we won back the freedom of the 26 county's.

  • who are you calling ignorant you clown?america refused to recognise the right to irish independence at versailles you idiot, president wilson referring to it as a british domestic issue and would not meet with irish representitives.official american support was never forthcoming.try read a little.

  • the issue of the british presence in the north east was raised with kennedy and he offered nothing beyond platitudes about wishing to see a united ireland and mentioned that it wasn't all that important anymore as national borders in europe were being opened up.calling me ignorant!!!may i suggest you read a little about that of which you write, you seem clueless!

  • My initial claim was pure speculation i thought i made that clear. I said that "If Kennedy wasnt killed Ireland may have been a very different place today." He may or may not have had influence at a later stage in his presidency. I wasnt wrong i merely made claim to believe that he would have.

  • I agree with his strong ties he would have made some sort of an effort to help heal. He was such a good leader if not one of the best we had. Though leaders put there own country before any others, foreign and domestic problems no matter what you are born, as a president of America you are 100% American and can not favor your heritage but when there is warring involved i think that he would step in had time not been shortened he would have done at least something to mend the ties that bind.

  • @remedy63 how much longer until a united Ireland? birthrates??

  • Very moving.

  • If kennedy wasnt killed Ireland may have been a very different place today. He kept strong ties with our nation and could have influenced a united Ireland in many ways

  • i wish we have a leader like him exist today!

  • nice quality color footage-JFK was the best!

  • Touched by a special grace, shining in the golden summer of his youth, flashing that diffident but endearing smile, effortlessly offering gems of poetry and prose, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the quintessence of great American leadership. He was a man of reason and principle, precise, eloquent and authentic, our Pericles in the high noon hour of American democratic restoral -- only to be taken away. The years since have all been Novembers. We shall never again see his like.

  • What a beautiful tribute. Thank you. Some of his most awesome speeches can be heard on youtube, visit John F Kennedy My Business Was Mankind.

  • Thanks for your message. JFK was, I contend, Americas greatest president. Champion of egalitarian democracy, advocate for peace, defender of human rights & individual liberties, a leader able to infuse a people with hope & aspiration in a nuclear age of angst & spiritual annihilation, this author of A Nation of Immigrants, masterfully wove a path for humanity to pass through its darkest hour of near destruction, thereby turning the world to more sublime ennobling pursuits. He is dearly missed.

  • what is that song that is being sung in st. patrick's cathedral?

  • nevermind, it's a unique version of "the lake isle of innisfree" not to be confused with "isle of innisfree"

  • the best president of usa....the worst and stupid presidents george bush father and son also nixon

  • true that, homes

  • I loved President Kennedy, he gave the world hope.
