  • This is in Japan, you can bet a very young Yoshiki Hayashi was watching and learning...

  • WHAT IS THIS..??!! YANNI WITH THE GUITAR..??!!!

  • any new emerging country shd adopt this as their national anthem n put Frank's face on their flag... with the motto "PLAY IT LOUD MUTHA...!!"

  • Yah Frank got mad at the music industry and basically gave up..

  • A sound track for the New World Order. Love the polite applause after.

  • A sound track for the New World Order

  • They love Mahogany Rush in Japan. That must say volumes of the power of this amazing band.

  • Damn this guy can even turn marching music into rock n roll

  • I would like to listen to this tune when I drive my tuned car.

  • What we should have, a World Anthem, in a perfect world, no greed or war.

  • Frank Marino is a Awesome Guitarist!!!!!!!!

  • @knightmidnight ***YOU GOT THAT RIGHT,the man,the ledgend,HE'S KILLER

  • キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!

  • 今までXのオリジナルだと思っていた俺orz..

  • I saw these guys in the 70's. He was being billed as the "living reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix". Fastest fingers I have ever seen.

  • This is really great..

  • Something I've been wondering about this clip ever since I first saw it: are they actually playing live? Obviously there's a lot more going on there than just one guitar, bass and trap drums, but are they just miming to the studio version, or are they playing along live to a tape?

  • @Kohntarkosz

No bud...frank was always like this...I can hear a mistake here and there. I think it was one of those live performances soon after the release so it's not straying too far from the album recording. And at the end you can here the feedback romp where he ends up laying the guitar on the stage and walking away.

He captured the "Energy" of youth through his playing better than anyone. And it took him years to get rid of the Hendrix shackles. I saw him more than any of the greats. YEP

  • So then they must be playing live to a backing tape, with the multiple guitars, tympani, synths, etc on it, right?

  • @antrygis1 There is some kind of back tracking to this i believe? Besides his drummer and bass player? Its not loud but i think its his own back track for the song?..He made the guitars sound like a fucking orchestra!.

  • @Kohntarkosz I remember the live album from 1978 had the credit "R2/D2 backup..." on it. I assumed it must have been some type of backing track for this.

  • shame Kansas would not let him and his band continue when the crowd would like more than a 45 minute set. Frnak ROCKED!..But a great concert with two great bands......the crowd was screaming we want Frank....Awesone to see him and his band

  • @intensetornado Yeahhh Boyieee. I FEEL you on that one. That was one of the GREATEST live albums EVER recorded!.....UNBELIEVEABLE guitar playing!!! Simply AMAZING. Everytime i play it for ppl who've never heard it before (which is alot unfortunitely) they end up picking their jaws up off the ground!

  • I think I still have the lyrics that came with the LP I bought back in the late 70"s. My favorite version is on the original "live" black album when he goes from Electric Reflections of War to the drum solo to the World Anthem to Purple Haze.

  • Watch as Frank and MR melt the audience...great post thanks

  • この曲を聴くとSG欲しくなる。ギターは顔で弾くものだと思う。あと、やっぱりこの曲聴くと今でもワクワクする。

  • steve vai.....liberty........a complete rip of this

  • @eezamanna20 wow, you're tone deaf, not even in the same key buddy.

  • I LOVE this old footage. KILLER stuff.

  • y saw marino over and over (ym from quebec) NOBODY HAVE A CLUE how great psychadelic master he was.... one of the best.................play with theet , feedback

hendrix style, super blues composition . marino is one of the most under estimate guitar god.

  • Next to Yngwie Malmsteem, this guy makes the most epic hard rock instrumentals!

  • This could very well be the greatest musical composition ever written.

  • @kevinneslund He is a Great Player!!! I've been listening to him since I was a lad.. He is Breathtaking!!! One of my favorite musicians with that hyper speed blues approach..COOL!!! NO WAY COOL!!!

  • if we ever needed a world anthem-we need it now...exemplary guitar orchestration from the unsung guitar master-man how is it possible that EVERY KID THAT TOUCHES A GUITAR wishes they could play like this..

  • Frank Marino, is the best ever, he makes the difference at hendrix style playing...maybe frank is the most guitar god underrated. I respect Marino work's its just, out of this world.

  • BAD ASS

  • Fucking Great!

  • Which do you guys prefer? The full band arrangement like he does here, or the solo guitar arrangement like on Real Live?

  • 最高カッコイイ!!

  • At 2:30....never fails to send a wave of goose bumps from head to toe!

  • Ahhh yes..great moment...Marino was part of my teenage years...killer shit

  • there is nothing to say man.he said it all himself in 3:32
