I actually flew on this aircraft from NRT to DFW. It had about 16 first class seats, 61 business, and 110 or there about for coach seats.

When American first got the Tokyo route they leased 2 of these from TWA. In the last year of the lease they were grounded as the company found it cheaper to pay the lease than to fly them.

@crayonsRSIcK No prob. Btw, i just noticed that CLS doesn't even have a 747SP. However, i don't know of any other developer that has made a 747 with that old steam gauge cockpit. If merging vc's wasn't impossible in FS9, i'd say that this is the CLS vc merged with POSKY's 747SP.

All the other airlines were "johnny-come-latelies". Pan Am gave Boeing 25million bucks for the first twelve production 747 aircraft, plus Pan Am build the gigantic shop were the new large aircraft was to be build. TWA filed suit against PAA and Boeing quoted anti trust issues and a biased court ordered other airlines to have equal rights to the new type of aircraft, thereby screwing PAN AM after they shelled out the cash to make production possible.

Yeah i just downloaded that today. I purchased a 747-100 for our Virtual airline at simfly.eu. Liat Virtual. We have several big planes but need the abilities of that one for the TNCM to SEGS run. I can get the L1011 up and down there but no room for error. Our emb-190's are stretch on fuel and the Dash 8's just take too long. Plud you have to factor in a stop at MMPR for fuel, both ways.

The Boeing 747Sp was first flown by Pan Am and designed for their longhaul trans pacific routes. SP stands for special Performance. It was a great aircraft and I flew it many times.
