this shit sucks on so many levels there is nothing good or creative about dub step you sheep are quick to jump on trends and label everything. this isn't innovation or ground breaking this track is shitty wanna be PLASTIKMAN you guys have no clue about real electronic music if you think this i shit is good lol
@diminisheddj i like autechre and modeselektor and so on and on froth, you know real electronic music.dub step is like the lil Wayne of electronic music its cheap and it sucks.
@ishotbinladen Dubstep is great, but this isn't really dubstep. It's late garage. The golden years of dubstep were in 2008 and back. Now, it just turned into grime. Look at D&B. They had hardcore from '90 to what, '93, '93-94 went into jungle and lasted til '96 or so. Techstep went from late '96 into 2004. Liquid went from '04 to '08. It's transitioning now into something grimey.
@mikeb1444 your the type of people im talking about that have no clue about electronic music. all you know is how to put labels on the shitty parts of electronic music to seem kool and hip. its all shit to me there is so much better out there then that to bad you know nothing bout it
@ishotbinladen mate id be very surprised if iether of these two had even heard of richie hawtin let alone wanted to be him. you just seem to hate anything that will make people dance in a club which is a bit silly
@rtctchr i dance my ass off plenty of times to good electronic music not the cheap shit you like to lable with fancy hipster names they use shitty software and lil to no hardware, generic presets and each track sounds the same. im just super protective my electronic music being mixed up with this bubble gum cookie cutter music.
Here's the way I look at it. If I like the song "Night" by Benga, and I want more music like that, I should be able to find more that has similar beats, tempo, atmosphere, etc. How do I describe this music? Maybe I should name it. Look up Liquid D&B and then Jungle D&B, or Techstep D&B. If people really love something, they give it a name. Bourbon, Scotch, Gin, and Brandy are all whiskies, they get you to dance, but they do it differently. Same for music.
@mikeb1444 no no no your wrong please learn electronic music fundamentals. whiskey is liqueur and its counter parts are all liqueur too but they dont suck its different and does fuck you up the same as others d and b all sound the same no change please listen to good music not shitty generic rip off you listen to the shitty whiskey
Agh. Forget it. I'm wasting my time. I do have one question since you're so wise and I'm so stupid with my degree in mechanical engineering. Here's the question. Since you have a keyboard in front of you, would it kill you to use proper spelling, wording and punctuation in the presence of idiots like me who have been into dance music longer that you've been breathing?
I am so happy that I found what dubstep is today. If not I would have never found this. What dubstep is today should not be called dubstep by any means. I have been more of a nu jazz person and just my opinion but original dubstep sounds like a branch of jazz with more electronic bass roots keeping the tracks grounded. Grimey jazz. I really like it a lot.
Mixers like Excision, Datsik, Sekklow, or really anything with tight wobbles should have a separate branch off genre.
quality -5*. if anyone can send me Jay Da Flex + El-B - When I Fall In Love, il send them a link to my filesharing account (probably not supposed to mention which site) where u can dl a fk load of full length tracks & some rare sets. thanks
@dexmoire No doubt, the majority of headz still aren't ready for this heavyweight sound, I remember Monty Luke droppin' this on Betalounge back in '99...huge
