Landfill sites are terrible. When the plastics finally decompose after 100 years, huge amounts of CO2 and CO are let off, as the carbon chains that plastics are made of react with the air.
I live in Telford, Im 16, Theres no help for anyone living there, No one cares about any one or anything in telford. People do nothing to about living in this Shi*hole, they just have a light debate and totally forget about it. Im sick of two faced governments, Im sick of the media purposely blaming "young people" as though were all bad when most of us just want the Fuc**ng chance to have a live in what we are trying to make out of this. You want to here something from a young person then there.
You are only ever told what the media want you to know. I sold the space in Candles Landfill in Telford and I can tell you that landfill sites are extremely well engineered sites. However, I am sure Waste to Energy Incineration is the way forward and gassification with nil emissions is the best system.
So, if burning house-hold waste is going to affect us, what is it doing when it is being buried in the ground?? its a no win situation. at least burning it wont make an ugly hillside out of our old rubbish! (before i have any smart remarks back i live in telford and very near the tip and i know what im bidding for!)
