  • I owned a Suzuki Burgman 400, a Kymco 150 Super 8 and now a JCL 250cc Chinese Scoot. I would rank the quality in that order too. I'm not too familiar with the Daelim nameplate, but if it is anything like a Kymco, far better than my Chinese JCL 250. I plan on selling the JCL next year and purchase a Burgman 650.. Maybe actually keep it for more than a couple years..

  • Daelim sucks! It's a CHINESE bike, the quality is bad and the engine is made from plastic?! Daelim is one more brand of chinesemotorcycles and scooters in the market and it's a bad thing because the scooters could kill you! Daelim shit!!!

  • @JCBlackBladeTT Daelim is a Korean company you idiot, haha. That completely kills your argument.

Daelim isn't the best motorcycle company (I owned a Daeilm motorcycle) but they're sure as hell not the worst.

  • Reliable, well-made scoots. Recently Daelim secured a US foothold in Hawaii. I'm rooting for Daelim to return with thier great bang-for-the-buck bikes. I'll get another upon thier return.

  • pos

  • Daelim is trying to resolve the issue with US owners. I did a later video when I needed parts.

  • I had the 125 variant of this scoot. Rode it for a year and it ran like a top-no issues. Then my dealer dissolved..then Daelim's US distributor folded. Please Daelim, come back.

  • these were awesome until Daelim pulled out of the USA...

    ugh.

  • nice scoot! i have one in red, a 2007 model.

love it. i drive it about 45 miles round trip to work and back. very comfortable and more powerful than people think. i can get it up to 85mph and cruises nicely at 65-75mph. i also have the brake noise also, work fine though. hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine. ps: my daughter has a daelim e-five 50cc and my wife rides a buddy 150cc. we live in maryland.

  • Nice vid. NOW, y did u go for a scooter insted of a cool bike ? dont u think bikes are far more manly ? i am not debating with you. i just wanna know you logic for spending all these money on a Scooter, insted of a bike. What xtra benefits r u getting ?

  • It was a hard decision. I do love riding motorcyles. But the larger Maxi Scooters worked better for my needs because of the trunk space that most motorcycles lack even with saddlebags and also riding in traffic to the heart of the city so automatic transmission made more sense. The purpose of the scooter was for local commutes to my local offices I carry equipment and laptop. I am saving for a second bike a Moto Guzzi for the long fun rides away from the city.

  • good luck with your Guzzi. you can also consider yamaha FJ1300A for long rieds. its really nice and comfortable.

  • Good job with your info video regarding your scooter shopping. Thinking about buying a scooter and my size concerns me too. No Daelim dealers in northen California, But I've been looking at a Lance Duke Touring 250,which seems to be fairly comparable. Have you checked other makes? I don't know what part of the country you are in. I suspect that makes a big difference. Thanks again for the videos. Good job.

  • Sym, Honda, Yamaha, Kymco, CFMoto, Moto-Fino any place I could test ride one. Maxi-Skooter class was the only ones I like for leg room and large storage. Pricing and reading reviews played key part of my decision with Daelim. Two of my favorites were the Kymco Xciting 250/500 and the Yamaha Majesty but it was out of my price range. Dont get me wrong, I love my Daelim its the same engine as the Kymco Xciting 250 and its fun to ride.

  • Cool scooter, I couldn't commute with that though I drive 100 miles a day!

  • I only use this when I am at my office. Your drive sounds like my drive when I lived in Southern California.

  • I only wish that I could ride a scooter to work. The Florida weather would get in my way.

  • It is a fun ride.
