  • "He's the most melodic bass player in the world." "What does that mean?" "It means he's melodic." Paul's reaction to that... makes me so happy to see them smiling and laughing.

  • 1:48 What's rough? I can't hear it D:

  • i got so sensitive when Paul said that he didn't want talk about that (linda) so sad! I'm happy He's doing alright!

  • Hahaha, I love it when Larry says "let's be serious", and Paul just sits there with his hands folded, looking up at the ceiling like an innocent school boy :D

  • I agree with Ringo! Paul was a really good bass player! Ob-la-di-ob-la-da was a real simple bass line that I love! Alot of latin music has similar bass lines.

  • Uh,The music trancends you<You remember where you were. Thanks for the music. And these guys are still farting around with each other like the BeaTles. Thanks!

  • Wing it Larry. EPIC!

  • "I was an only child and then I had three brothers." Ringo is truly a class act<3

  • No, no, be serious. I want to be serious"

OMG, stop being so serious, Mr You-Suck-Your-Last-Name-Shouldnt-Be-King!

  • If I saw them in the street I would say... I dunno, probably something more than 'Thanks for the music'... Wow, I get emotional just seeing their vinyl records in the shops... should have seen me today!

  • flipping*

  • ahaha!!! at 5:53 paul fliking off larry king

  • the coolest band and the coolest people on earth...the beatles are!

  • "I've always loved that, the human contact--"

    '"Can I stroke you now?"

    Hahaha

  • They're like brothers, it's so sweet :)

  • OMG RINGO AND PAUL ARE THE BEEST ! AHAHAHA :D love them both so much <3

  • I've never liked Larry King....he is the worst interviewer ever!!! The baboon must own a ton of CNN stock or something. Man why don't they just get RID of him??? I know a few 4 year-olds who could have done better and would have been excited about it.

  • @cleverlouanne hes gone

  • what a fucking moron he is. He must have been blowing everybody to keep that job for so many years. SUCH and fucking moron.

  • I love it how larry goes "We'll be right back, with all four of them" And Ringo's like "Yeah" with a kinda sarcastic smirky tone. Hahaha woww they really didnt like Yoko and you can fucking tell. Olivia was fine.. but Yoko? Haha. And thats why Paul and Ringo were sadder about George's death. Because, John just lost his care for the Beatles, when the other 3 never did. Sad, isnt it?

  • "It's doing great, thank you."

Paul has always, always been such a polite man. All the way before Beatlemania.

  • WOW... I like how when Paul, Ringo, and Larry are all talking, Larry acts like he's in the music business and knows what he's talking about. (WHEN HE DOESNT) And then Ringo says "melodic" and Larry goes, "what does that mean?" RETARD...

  • Love how Ringo finished paul's sentence

  • I'm sorry, but Larry King is a horrible interviewer.

  • I LOVE THIS! Ringo is really something, isn't he? Damn what I wouldn't give to be able to hang out with these guys..

  • larry makes his guests (the living legends) feel uncomfortable. that always a good sign of a great interviewer!

  • I love when they say things that make LK look like what he is: an IDIOT!

And I also love Paul playing the mandolin and Ringo "drumming" with his foot :D

  • Larry King = Total Douchebag What a TOTAL Loser!

  • "The drums are the key to the beatles" what a stupid fucking thing to say Larry. He knows what they meant. Man will I be glad when he retires.

  • 4:15 hahaaaa xDDDDD omg paul xDDDDDDDD your laughing is too great xDDD

  • 4:16 hahaaaa xDDDDD omg paul xDDDDDDDD your laughing is too great xDDD

  • LOL 2:20 when Paul points at Larry Priceless!!!

  • Larry King needs to fucking retire.

  • larry its never been about how much it sells its always been for the LOVE.

  • Larry is an ancient douche lord!!! Ughhh here he is interviewing legends of our time and he manages to fk it up!!!

  • 4:11 what is that means ? huh ? what is melodic....? Haaaaaaahaahaaahaa..

  • What a wasted opportunity. Interviewer keeps everything within the "political correctness" thing.

  • Larry King is a bumbling fool. Just the worse interviewer ever. Thank god his guests are courteous and kind. They guy is clueless, doesn't know names, facts or history. Just a trainwreck.

  • Ringo isn't lying Paul plays the bass like it's a guitar...I know cuz I study his playing of every instrument he plays. Bass is my main, and he plays it like a guitar high in the neck.

  • @ironcitydevildog Totally right. Part of it is because he started out on guitar and then switched to bass when Stu decided to stay in Hamburg, leaving them without a bassist.

  • Ringo, take your glasses off! xD

  • "Life is great...the wife is great..."

Ringo rules the shit out of Larry King :D

  • You'd think someone that old (Larry) would be an experienced interviewer... well Larry read this: PLEASE RETIRE.

  • These guys are so funny. Not just great musicians, great people too...

By these guys, I only mean Paul and Ringo!

  • Ringo Starr is the funniest man alive

  • @4:10 is one of my favorite Beatles moments.

  • I hate being mean, especially to old people, but Larry King is SO senile... I have no friggin' idea of how he's still on. In here, you can even feel how Ringo and Paul are almost laughing at what this guy asks or says.

  • Larry is fuckin retearded... Like 0:50- 6:41, he's so fuckin stupid

  • Paul-"I don't talk about it and that helps" hahahahahaha he's funny when he's not even trying!!!

  • I love how Paul asked Ringo if he could stroke him. I love those guys! 5:30

  • Wow... it's amazing to see them being so brother-like again T-T...and what they said about "Thank you for the music" , it was so, so sooo true

  • He's such a shit interviewer

  • Larry is as bad at interviewing as that douche who interviewed The Beatles in Toronto in 64

  • if anyone else was in larrys place, like; any of us youtubers, i'm sure we'd go ballz deep in the questions, what larry didn't got a little close.

  • "I was an only child, but I had three brothers." That was so sweet <3 :)

I love seeing Paul and Ringo joke around. I guess they had to to make this slightly boring interview more entertaining..

  • what does ringo mean by " widow tranky?" whatever it is i assume yoko. and larry king isnt etting them be them selfs! pauls laughing and larrys like shut the f up!

  • LARRY KING = IDIOT

  • Larry is SUCH a fuckin dickhead!!

  • 4:16 lol at Paul!! That man is so moody ! He dont even look happy to see them on there!!

  • i really wanna show them two old footage of them two in new york in central park dancing to pauls handheld radio :)

  • i should have made this interview hahaha, not larry, so serious...

  • 5:52 or 5:53 fast middle finger lol

  • @stefanseusan I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice lol

  • Haha i love them so much ! ♥

there funny :D That Larry King person dont even want to laugh he didnt laugh when they were being funny lol! he has to be all serious!

  • The bass line in The Beatles was basic, here Dear Prudence or Rain, the drums too, hear A DAy in the life

  • oops i meant to thumbs up you but i thumbs downed you :S

  • gotta love ringo!

  • It means it's melodic. Good Job, Ringo. Good Job.

  • "he's still the most melodic bass player on the planet"

    "what does that mean?"

    "it means he's melodic"

    LOL

  • I got a different impression of Larry here. I think he is in awe, and maybe, intimidated by his guests; I would be. They are legends, and a formidable pair!

I saw it as Larry trying too hard to appear calm, when really he is overwhelmed. I hate that he interrupted Paul, for example, but I think it was nerves rather than rudeness.

Luckily, Paul and Ringo seem so comfortable, alternating easily between brotherly banter and sincere sentiment, I don't notice Larry much.

    Thanks for posting

  • i love how they're still like a couple of school kids goofing around in the playground

  • agh, this could be so much better if Larry King didn't ask such awkward obvious questions... "how are you?" "you don't financially need to do music, but you still do.. you still get a kick out of it?"

  • 5.37 what did he just say what is that?

  • sorry, Larry, but I concur with Flyingcougar.

  • they are so funny,i love how paul points at larry's face

  • give larry a break...he is 112 after all

  • "can i stroke u now?" bahahah!! god i love em both so much!!!

  • I think Paul and Ringo enjoy being together so it doesn't matter that Larry king sucks balls at interviewing =]

  • totally uncomfortable.

  • charming

  • Pauls adorable.

  • He is a fucking shit interviewer - there's no warmth there at all. Paul & Ringo look as if they'd rather be elsewhere. A golden opportunity to speak to two total legends and this dickhead conducts one of the most boring, pointless interviews ever..

  • lol

    Life is great.

    The wife is great.

  • Lmao I love how Paul keeps saying "I liked the bass" and waiting for Ringo to back him up, that made me smile. And Ringo has some white teeth, damn xD

Then when Ringo said "it means hes melodic", Pauls face was like "OHOHO, SNAP."

  • "I don't talk about it and that helps." You can tell Paul wants him to shut up there.

  • Ringo is hotter now than ever!

  • Agreed.

  • If I was walking down the street and saw Paul, I DEFINITELY do/say something more than "thanks for the music it saved my life" unless, of course, he was in a hurry... though, why would he walk if he was in a hurry?

  • lol the expresions

  • LMAO

Larry - "what does that mean?"

    Ringo - "It means melodic"

hahaha larrry is an ass head

  • I love Paul's reaction.

  • @0radicalred you can almost hear John make a quip there, and picture George laughing to himself while staring uncomfortably (for King) at Larry

  • stupid larry, lol he says"no seriously" lol dude in ringo and paul want to joke around and have fun. LET THEM BE!

  • hahaha the bass is "melodic" XD XD XD XD

  • You can tell they are still close. I owe my life to them. God save the Beatles!

  • i love how paul and ringo can brighten up any drab and dull question larry throws to them. everyone of their responses has someone to make me smile or laugh. so cute.

  • i know this interview is good

  • I could listen to Paul talk about the Beatles for hours. Fascinating! Larry asks dumb questions with obvious answers.

  • hahaa. this video is funny.

  • Paul and Ringo come across very well on this. Shame King doesn't!

  • What happen to the eyes of Ringo? Until now

    his sunglasses is on

  • hilaroph: spotlights, and "strong" lights hurt his eyes, so in public he always wears sunglasses! :)

  • Its just his imige (or how you spell it) :)

  • The magic of the Beatles since

before Jackson 5 was born on the 1970's

  • Wow Larry King is such a D-bag. I'd flip him off too, Paul!

  • You can see what an awfull interwivever ( in lack of better word ) Larry King is, e.g when he ask them why they keep doing what they do cause they got all the money they need and Ringo ask him the same question and Larry just jabb something out. He is also rude to them and dosent keep track on his information, its so stupid how he calls Ringo George earlier and then get angry at Paul for pointing it out and hit him. Hes just.. just and idiot! dont have any kharisma at all just flat out boring.

  • Agreed - how did he keep going so long?

  • It's great how Paul says, "I think the bass was terrific too," then looks at Ringo, waiting for him to agree and praise Paul, but when Ringo doesn't, he just repeats himself with "I think the bass was good as well," putting extra emphasis on "as well" still waiting for Ringo to comment. So sweet.

  • paul flips him off at 5:53 for sure

Larry cuts him off when Paul was about to say something again, so he flipped Larry off

  • pause at 5:53, Paul flips him off

  • Ringo: "And he is still the most melodic bass-player on the planet."

    Larry: "What does that mean?"

    Ringo: "It means he's melodic."

HAHAHA. Then, the kick that Paul gets out of that joke was really funny, and he just looks at Larry as if to say, "This brilliant man has a point about that dashing bass-player. ;)"

Paul: "Can I stroke you, now?"

  • Oh, come on guys. Give Larry a break. It was great to see Paul and Ringo on his show. Larry's just trying to draw them out and make conversation. Of course he knows why Paul and Ringo are still performing when they don't need it financially. It's so great to see Paul and Ringo together. They're hilarious. I've never heard them act and sound so much like brothers. RIP John and George.

  • credited. you can still see the brilliant chemistry that the beatles had, between these two. it's priceless.

  • brenwilliams, thanks for your reply/comment. Yes, you're right, brilliant chemistry between these guys. All four, John, Paul, George, and Ringo were all exceptionally talented individually. They also worked very hard together. I don't know if we'll ever see that magic again. You're lucky to see a group like the Beatles once in your lifetime.

  • he definitely flicked him off

  • larry king should die

  • You can tell Ringo got pissed when Larry King asked why they are keep doing what they do when they don't want the money. What an idiot Larry is.

  • 5:53 did paul flip larry off?

  • ha ha. close.

  • Larry King you suck , I can almost understand you slipping and calling Ringo George if your on your way out (mind wise) but even then , were talking The Beatles , I mean you must be approaching idiocy , but the way you cut Paul off was uncalled for , got out of the interview business , your shot ,,, retire .

  • Boy Larry why would you ask such stupid questions. do you want to make them feel like crap?

  • what does melodic mean? it means melodic

    lol

    ringo<3

  • After all they've done, after all they been through, after they changed the world ,they are still so humble. They are truely amazing.

  • paul is cool, ringo is just plain cooler, larry king is a tosser, ringos voice is cool as fuck and life is good

  • I think Paul and Ringo's were trying to make fun of that asshole Larry King...

  • pauls face when ringo talks about his wife is so cute..maybe he's thinking about his situation..miss you linda!

  • should have been bob costas interview

  • Man... they are pushing 70 in absolute GREAT shape. They are still gorgeous and much much more lovely than before.

And Ring needs (literally) no more than one foot to kick ass!

  • OK, really, can someone take Larry away and teach him to make interviews?

This was painful to watch, really.

  • Larry King is asking this stupid questions, =======why do you write music if you don't need the money=======. What? does he think they see music as a business? Seriously Larry King SHOULD GO HOME AND STAY THERE FOR EVER.

  • Dude, Ringo totally puts Larry King in his place after that "you don't need to do this anymore" comment... nice one!

  • what a bloody awful interviewer Larry King is-how has he survived so long?

  • hah I actually ended up doing a transcript of this video for my A Level coursework. SO many things to comment on, heh.

  • wow

i can watch this over and over again=]

    this is greatt.

"hes still the most melodic bass player on the planet"

    "what does that mean?"

    "it means hes melodic"

    hha

  • i think this is great! i saw this on the tv when it was live! ringo and paul are so cool!!

to: paul, ringo, george, and john, thankyou so much for the great music and thankyou for treating us so well. you guys are the best!

i only wonder what john and george would have looked like today?? and new music??

  • hahah Paul "Yes, I use him all the time!"

OMG the Octopus's garden bit in CIrque du SOleil looks awesomeeee!!

  • Widow Twanky! Classic quote. Paul's reaction is priceless too. Hey, its the Beatles rhythm section!

  • I love how they can be really emotional, but still are really laid back and can act like a couple of teenagers. It seems like they have these inside jokes and, from past interviews, it seems like nothing has changed. Love them all.

    RIP John and George.

  • I love how when Paul says ",with friends like these who needs life." Ringo laughs and then he's like ,"Not funny."(2:09)

  • look at larry clapping awkwardly along at 0:30

  • Haha...I dont like Larry King, I wish someone else interviewed them.

  • This should be required viewing for all celebrities. It could be called, "How to handle tactless, inappropriate interview questions with utter class" Ringo, with his perfunctory "she's great" (no elaboration), and Paul's kind but clear, "I don't talk about it..." are just classic. They stil define "cool"! I love it.

  • what did ringo say widow what

  • I really want to know aswell...it sounded derogatory

  • he said "widow twanky"

  • lol @ Paul's "should is stoke your hand?"

  • correction *should I stroke**

  • Larry's such a dick...

  • Paul, "Life is wonderful, and with friends like these, who needs life?" haha!

    love it.

  • That comment was brilliant

  • Haha, "He's stil the most melodic bassist"

    "What does that mean?"

    "Means he's melodic...:

  • Yeah that's a big ROFL for all us musicians! :)

  • Larry is an idiot. He's clueless.

  • Liverpudlian dry and very quick wit LOL LOL , you cant beat it , and Paul and Ringo do effortlessly , shame George and John arent there to join in

  • What commercial is Larry talking about at the beginning? Does anyone know?

  • hes talking about some ipod commercial with paul in it

  • dont agree. firstly widow twanky is not a nasty character at all. Ringo used it as a term of affection or as a little gag. there are no issues between yoko and ringo. they all seemed to get on very well which is the best thing about these clips because larry king is bloody awful

  • Watch the exchange beginning at about 5:33. Ringo says, "yeah, The Widow Twankey," and Paul laughs. Larry is oblivious. The Widow Twankey is a British pantomime character- a nasty female character, the part played by a man. A clear shot at Yoko which most, progbably including Yoko, missed. But Paul obviously got it. Take a look and see if you don't agree. And search for "widow twankey" and "pantomime dame" online to see what I'm referring to.

  • I did look it up and I think you may be right. Definitely a little pot shot at Yoko. Paul was quite amused! Why else would Ringo have mentioned that? They've obviously still got a little resentful baggage left over for Yoko but, they also have moved beyond that, it was so long ago, and can be civilized with one another now.

  • I have to agree with you, only because of what I saw on the "Gala Premiere of The Beatles' LOVE by Cirque du Soleil®" video. Watch about 4:47 when Ringo begins beating on the prop drums, and then Yoko quickly followed suit. Ringo looks SOOOO annoyed with her. Look at his body language.
