I'd say both, because at Hearst siding east of Sunol the NCRY connects to UP's line to Altamont Pass. And in Niles, BNSF has trackage rights over UP's former SP route between Fremont and Richmond, but there's no connection to that line.
Can you do one on Milwaukee Road 261? I heard her excursion career might be over, so it would make a nice farewell to a (starts crying) great steamer.
Well, I am thinking about asking the Union Pacific about letting 2472 take an excursion from Oakland, Calfornia to Los Angeles over the old Coast Line that 4449 took the Daylight on, years ago. Wanna join me in supporting 2472 on a trip from Oakland to L.A.?

However I think Union Pacific woun't approve it, cause a few months back a member of the steam crew told us UP dosen't want any antique trains running on their tracks exept their own.
I sent them a request, but after reading your comment, I'll ask BNSF. I'm sure they'll let 2472 use their lines. They after all let 4449 run, so one more SP steamer won't hurt.
