totally agree he has learned this from coleman i have these old coleman recordings on tape and also a seies of videos called down home with aly bain and jean tells aly he learned alot from lstening to old records of coleman its really sad he has passed away what a player his bowing will be hard to beat r.i.p.
This is a medley of two Irish reels called "The Morning Dew" and "The Woman of the House." The very same medley was recorded on 78 by Co. Sligo fiddle player Michael Coleman, and I'm pretty sure that's where Jean Carignan would have heard it.
It's a good thing when someone say the right title of tunes. Most of the time, people says anything. And even with the right title, you can't make them change the wrong one for the right one, like this guy for instance.
