This was the same tour that came through Midland, Texas that year, they opened for Atlanta Rhythm Section at the college arena... I was 19 years old... came away convinced that these guys blew away most of the bands on the radio then, INCLUDING the Atlanta Rhythm Section.. I still have the LP called "the Hard Way". This is one of my fave 1-4-5 boogie numbers ever.  Been a LONG time, can't believe this video is on the web now. Wow.

@newnetnerd I shot video of Rusty and John back in '91 - posted it on YouTube and Rusty contacted me. Since then, I've more or less been the band's video guy. I was over at Rusty's studio one night and he hands me this grocery bag with several video tapes in it. I felt like I found the end of the rainbow and got the pot of gold. We've discussed releasing an anthology DVD but nothing permanent in the works yet. Until then, I'll post here and through Facebook!. Enjoy and thank you for watching!!!

I saw them in the Cotton Bowl stadium in Dallas 1977 or 78 maybe

. A helicopter flew over the field and dropped box after box of plastic men with parachutes on the crowd below them. It was a great show !
