  • Sanshou or Sanda or an "unsanctioned fight" is a Chinese hand-to-hand self-defense system and combat sport. Sanshou is a martial art which was originally developed by the Chinese military based upon the study and practices of traditional Kung Fu and modern combat fighting techniques; it combines full-contact kickboxing, which include punches and kicks, wrestling, takedowns, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and in some competitions, even elbow and knee strikes.

  • @chenyl0525 cool fuckin story faggot

  • @youpube1011 Oh yea, I just had a great time with ur mum, didn't know she was a hustler. she said you love felching. So y not, go find urself a dog n get cum over, u dick head. now be gd and call daddy.

  • 0:48 JIN

  • im a wanderley fan, but i still think that fight was bullshit

  • hes fighting wenderla silva i think in two weeks in hi first ufc debut hes gonna knock sliva out

  • this is a real striker!!! diverse kicks and punches, none of that only hands and leg kicks, awsome!

  • Still The Best on the Strike Force, let him to make it fight with Anderson Silva..to know which are the best between one of them,or fight with GSP on the UFC??:D..wha do u think?

  • Wanderlei Silva Destroyer you!!!!

  • Any idea where I can get his career? Can't find it with torrent and a decent number of seeders.

  • is this muay thai or another form of kicking based martial art that he is using?

  • @PMC0001 he is a master in taekwondo and kungfu

  • @PMC0001 Another. Quite different from Muay Thai. It's mainly Kung Fu. He uses a lot of side kicks and he spins a lot, too.

  • @yvesgomes that's Sanda

  • @PMC0001 simple taekwondo kicks.

  • Which song is it ??

  • @solistas95 can you not see the description or something? "knights of cydonia" by muse.

  • @jason91093 No, i can't.

  • great compilation vid

  • these Cung Le fights are much better. other UFC fights are usually WWF wrestling matches.

  • WHOA WHOA WHOA I thought Sheilds was middleweight champion at that time, with Moussasi LHW champ and Overeem Heavy champ.... WTF? At what weight is Le the champ at?

  • @brybry19871987 he left strikeforce to pursue his acting career(TEKKEN) jason miller and shields fought for the vacant middle weight belt.

  • @paramount525 Yea but he just fought Scott Smith... So is he gonna be in the tourney for the middleweight belt?

  • @brybry19871987 maybe. i think he and miller will fight to win the vacant strikeforce middleweight(shields is in the ufc now)

  • @brybry19871987 no, he wont fight in the tourney!

  • @brybry19871987 he was the champion at 185 Ibs (84 kg). He vacated the belt due to filming obligations. JAke shields won the belt and vacated it as well. Jacare is now the champ.

  • Cung Le's kicks and takedowns are awesome and really fast.

  • I have to say Cung Le's kicks are lethal

  • Cung Le vs Anderson Silva? Why not have a high school football team play the super bowl champs? Maybe Cung Le should fight a top 50 fighter before taking on the champ? And Cung Le did not fight Tito Ortiz. Even an old washed up Tito would destroy this guy. Ten years ago he was good at his particularly specialty - leave it at that.

  • @p1q0 i agree

  • @p1q0 You obviously never seen Cung Le's fights if you think it would be that one sided. Anderson Silva is slowly losing his talent so to speak with his last fight against Chael Sonnen who dominated him the entire match until Anderson pulled off the submission. But Cung Le's striking is around Anderson's level. You need to do some studying before you go ahead and troll your stupid comments ignorantly.

  • As opposed to a complex boxing punch?

  • As opposed to his own over the top moves.

  • i think cuz his fighting style is to keep his opponents away from him, thats why he has such a weak chin

  • He's the best fighter that hasn't fought anybody worth mentioning. Or maybe he just hasn't fought anyone worth mentioning. Maybe he could fight someone decent and then we'd know if he was any good. That stuff he used to do with the striking and throwing sort of matters but isn't the same.

  • @p1q0 I could be wrong, but I thought I saw Tito Ortiz in that mix of people he was decimating.

  • haha, youtube fighter!!! maybe you should fight cung lee, is funny how you mention that stuff he used....his technique surpass most ufc, mma, k1 fighter, especially his kicks. So he have speed and power....inregards to the throwing, cung is a trained in grappling thats how he can manage to do it to other trained fighter, is not the WWF bullshit throw here....

  • He actually did fight in tournaments. Get your facts straight.

  • This guy is AWESOME!

  • i wonder what organization he fights for. he needs to get in the ufc.

  • he did actually he won a lot of boxing and wing chun tournaments.

  • He hasn't fought in liek 2 years!

  • hahah more like cung ended shamrocks carear

  • I'm surprised his gnarly style didn't make him famous prior to the Shamrock fight.

  • he was famous, anyone that knows about martial arts or fighting would have heard of cung le,, this guy is rediculous noone around today or before in MMA fights like him, he is the modern day bruce lee

  • all of the great sanda fighters of china fight just like him. They just don't bother participating in the UFC, because it is looked at like a joke in China. it's where some of the best martial artist's in the world compete.

  • @Livelife417 no ive seen them and none of them are as good as cung le.. i like the way in china its more like a real fight less restrictions nd u get to follow up with a kick when people are down or going down,, u can even jump on them when they are down, or stomp on them..

dont agree with china having the best fighters, i think some of the best are in UFC, but people seem to assume that when your in UFC your the best.. that is bull crap alot in UFC are total crap, but they sell tickets

  • "it's where some of the best martial artist's in the world compete"

Compete in what? Please post a link to these competitions.

  • very cool! excellent fighter!

  • Cung Le VS Anderson Silva...come on Dana White make this happen

  • it can happen not like fedor stuff

  • lets just see GSP first. Cung Le got some serious skills but lets pop his cherry with a few UFC fights first.

  • @SinCityMadman Dana is a bitch and i really hope Cung Le doesn't fight in the UFC bring A.S. to strikeforce

  • @WhiteMaleRights ....Cung Le VS Vitor Belfort at November 19, 2011 at UFC 139....it's already done....lol

  • @SinCityMadman lol to bad

  • @SinCityMadman A dream come true, Dude...

  • @SinCityMadman i dont know man kung is 40, i think he shuld look to retire soon

  • Bruce Lee reincarnated! He's such a bad ass. He fights like in the movies!

  • I would love to see cung lee in the UFC...he would school a lot of poeple

  • - M.A. must be all about fighting and nothing else...

well martial arts doesn't have to be all about fighting, but in order to perform well in actual fights you have to do a lot of sparring, which Cung Le has done.

  • - no one would ever argue that physical training is useless in a real fight... wrestlers/jiu jitsu practioneers do a lot of physical training :S, grappling is purely physical.

    - Is TMA - traditional martial arts? Cung Le isn't purely a traditional martial artist. Also I don't see why anyone would ever argue that they are ineffective and useless. They obviously have their use otherwise they wouldn't be invented. They're not AS good as the principles of MMA, because they're too close-minded.

  • He hasn't fought against any actual good fighters, cept shamrock who didn't even attempt to take the fight to the ground.

Strikes are not easily connected - um... they're not, it's a lot harder to connect strikes then take downs when your opponent has bad takedown defense. takedown defense makes strikes effective EVERYONE knew this before.

    - who honestly thought that strikes did no damage after Crocop's high kicks and fedor's ground and pound?

    - UFC has SOME good fighters, not many atm.

  • Frank did tried to take him down at least 3 time in that fight and he couldn't do it.

Cung Le is master when it come to a take down.

  • one hell of a fighter. wouldn't want to be on the receiving ends of those crazy kicks.

  • Damn impressive!

  • master

  • 0:23

    ouch

  • MMA is a young sport...Cung Le adds a great element to the sport. There are more ways to win other than take downs and submissions people. Also, MMA fighters can benefit greatly if they add a little more boxing to their fighting regimine.

  • nice highlight :D

  • Frank is a legend but he is a legend because he's been fighting forever and is well past his prime. I said he's not going to be in contendership for any important titles and he won't be. You're right, Frank could have easily taken down Cung Le, as could any decent wrestler and that's just part of why Cung Le is not a good fighter and will never win an important title.

  • VIETNAM # 1

  • Cung Le has great kicks! Anderson Silva has great kicks, knees, elbows and punches. Ohh and a BJJ black belt! Cung would not even stand a chance against some top level UFC Middle Weights nevermind the Spider!

  • do you know martial art?

cung le has great kick only? he has good kicks, throws, ground maneuvers (when he went to the ground, which he did), and powerful punches (most of his KO are from some well placed swipes).

silva has great mauy thai and bjj but nowhere near as much power as cung le, cung le is built like a fucking tank

  • do u think cung le's fights were fixed.. the fight between him and frank looked a little fixed.. i agree that he wouldn't do as well in UFC>. Anderson silva is on a totally different level than cung le..

  • das a good one

  • hahahahaha it was funny when le nailed tito's stupid ass with that spinning back kick! tito is a little cocky bitch!!

  • that's not tito................

  • Maybe you'd also like to see a unicorn kill a troll or maybe some other matchups that will never ever happen?

  • - Cung Le is undefeated but that means nothing when you look at the people he has faced. Only a couple of top opponents. Not saying hes bad.

But Fedor is undefeated and has wins over very, very good people. The only person who even gave him a bit if trouble was Cro Cop in his prime.

  • I don't know why you're bothering to compared Fedor and Le since Le they cannot and will not ever compete in the same weight class. Le would have to grow a second head and Fedor would have to chop off a leg

  • frank is way too cocky im glad le broke his arm

  • I'd love to see him fight some good middleweights in the ufc like damien mia or bisping, not sure if he's ready for silva quite yet but it would be one hell of a fight.

  • your kidding right cause frank would beat the tar out of those two and le has said its possible for him and he would want to fight silvia.

  • him and Anderson Silva would be a good match

  • this video is awesome!

  • atleast we can see some proper stand up fighting, not hugging, however, grappling is not boring if it is done by people, who know what they're doing. Cung Le is with no doubt one of my fauvorites.

  • this is what you get when a real martial artist joins MMA, rather than just some skinheads who do a year or 2 of BJJ and Muay Thai cross training, hopefully with the increasing popularity of MMA well see much more fighters like him. Long live the legend of Cung Le!

  • As a martial artist he inspires me, he is damned too good, makes me wanna train even longer than my daily routines... Sadly enough I'm not even a black belt yet, but I will strive to also one day become strong...

  • go for it!

  • Belts mean nothing.

    Go for it.

  • No Frank is a little washed up now, bisping would give him a good fight and if mia took it to the ground it would be over veryyyy quickly. I like cung le a lot but he hasnt really been tested yet, I mean frank stood with him the whole time and lasted 3 rounds, when you think about it that aint that good as Frank has never been a great stand up fighter. If Frank stood against Silva like that it would have been a painfull night for him.

  • no im up 4 a good training session

  • san shou has nothign to do with thai boxing, why do thai try to claim everything, san shou is a chinese combat mixed from loads of chinese gung fu, and made into a powerful combating fighting system.. and san shou fighters absolutly murder thai fighters..

  • san shou is the kick boxing edition of the chinese martial arts, in the West usually called kung fu. It is better than muay thai and certainly not the same with throws.

  • hes a superstar already he already has a hater's fan club dayummmmmmmmmmm just like kobe, just like brady, just like every superstar, got someone saying he cant do this or will get rocked if this happens, too bad it hasnt happened yet.

  • who gives a shit when your good people either love ya or hate ya.. its better that way than to not be aknoloedge at all.. he is a movie actor now he is staring in his own film should be out soon... so he cant fight until 2009 cause the people involved in the movie wont let him... i dont know why he is still fighting,, he is a postition now, where if he stops fighting ppl are gonna say he's fake like bruce lee. or if he carrys on, he'll get beat cause he now has movies on his mind..

  • This guy's dojo is my neighborhood....... I'm kenpo & bjj though

  • that the thing they couldnt make him go on the ground -_-

  • first, get him on the ground .... he's still prepped though

  • Man he's tuff

  • i'd like to see him against fighters like gsp for example. Would be very interesting to see such a striker against a skilled striker/grappler.

  • Cung Le is a machine...

  • he did vovinam some time during his training before entering comps.. ive still got some vids of him haha

  • Damn, I didn't know that TaeKwonDo worked in a cage fight.

  • Its called san shou.. Its like Muay Thai but you can slam people

  • Yeah but his biography says that he has a black belt in Taekwondo; his kicks are very Taekwondo like.

  • Im sure hes picked a few things up from taekwondo, however these kicks all excist in chinece martial(commonly known as "kungfu") arts aswell. From what ive heard most asian martial arts are a derivative of the chinece martial arts. China have been highly poppulated for a long time and is bound to influence neighbouring countries cultures.

  • His kicks do not look like tkd kicks at all! TKD kicks are all very flicky. Le's kicks are stiff and powerfull, more resembling muay thai than tae kwon do.

  • Bro, those look like Taekwondo kicks and he's a black belt in Taekwondo. When things are played on TV, speed and technique look slightly different. Do Nascars on TV look like they're going over 200 MPH? no they don't.

In real life, in the cage, his kicks are going super fast.

  • I gotta say, i don't think they look like like the typical taekwon do fighter's kicks. Le is an exceptional fighter and to me it lools like he's adapted Taewkondo kicking style slightly to make it more powerfull. He does actually look more like a kickboxer or MT figher.

  • Are you in the USA? Read this month's issue of Black Belt Magazine. There's an article about Cung Le. It said "mix of Vietnamese Kung-fu, Taekwondo, and boxing".

  • No i'm in the UK...

But to your point:- maybe it's because of the mix of styles he's done makes his kicks NOT look like typical TKD techniques (Which actually is a good thing in my opinion). That's why i made the comments, because they DO NOT look like weak 'flucky' kicks that TKDers do!

  • Le did do TKD in his early days, as young as 10, but if you look him up he actually studied many different styles, and is primarily a kickbox-type stylist.

  • Yeah those are def TKD kicks. A lot of fighters, even Bruce Lee learnt TKD just to get those incredible kicks. Unless you've trained TKD you prolly have no idea what makes them so special. What i'm impressed with is a lot of fighters do TKD to get the kicks, but don't learn how to manage distance in order to use them effectively, which Cung does amazingly. Done right, they're not just powerful, but efficient, meaning you can keep kicking. TKD alone, like any martial art, is not enough.

  • yeah dude ive been doing TKD for 11 years. i would get killed in a fight with only TKD. cung measures it perfectly to make sure his opponent gets kicked with cung's shin for maximum damage

  • yup, kung is bad...still my fav so far!he's an all up round, stand up,take downs and ground... but i believe that he just likes stand up more, bein that san shou has gr8 take downs!

  • Doesn't matter what his ground game is (I bet it's decent) but if you can't get the man to the ground in the first place, what's the point in talking about it?

  • wow this video gave me the chills lol

  • He is not ready to go on a ground battle but he is awesome stading.I hope he has a decent grappling trainner because once he lose via subission people is gonna talk shit.

  • Cung Le is pretty amazing

  • cung le for UFC. cung has amazing takedowns because of K-1 but also is an established wrestler. sure he may not be as strong on the ground, but cung knows how to avoid being taken down because of K-1

  • They really want to take him down ,but how?.

And he didn't won on the ground ,that is not mean :He doesn't have skill on ground.the most kungfu fighter on the real word is stand.the last choice will be ground, but when it happening , one of them will be gone.

Have you seen Silva lost to Chonan by the leg lock?.That so easy for Cung Le rigth ?

Just wait and see my man.

  • Given more fight and proper training, I think Cung can be a top 10 P4P fighter. Yes, he needs more work on finishing his opponent and more ground game. He is also a bit sloppy on kicks that works and kicks that don't.

  • alot of ppl try... they just cant get it.... out of every single fighter in mma or ufc anyhting like this... he is the first guy ive actually seen that uses what he learns in training... every one else runs in goes fucking crazy... with there eyes closed... then when they tired they go to the ground... ground fighting is dumb as fuck... real men stand up..

  • He is good, but he doesn't have ground game, he won every fight on his feet exchanging with the fighters, I haven't see some one test his ground game yet that would be interesting.

  • Nobody has tested his ground because they're all for the most part foolish and think their standup is better and are willing to go out and prove it.

I agree, best way to beat Cung Le is via ground however... nobody has seen his ground so we have no idea if he falls apart under pressure or actually has decent submissions. Only time will tell :D

  • no one is able to get him to the ground. when they try, they leave themselves open to strikes.

  • i tell ya what though Cung Deserves more of his credit and hype than KIMBO does....

  • Bruce Buffer versus Kimbo, make it happen Dana

  • LOLZ!!!!!!

  • Cung Le is good...but nothing above a top 15 guy at 185...other than Frank he hasn't really fought anyone who's all that legit...arguably you could say jason vonflue...BUUUUT he cut him early before anything could happen so that fights still at a ?...against the top 185ers he'd lose...Silva, Lawler, AKiyama, Henderson, Trigg, Lindland, ect...since Misaki's in here make him fight Misaki..or ninja...those fights would be good! But i'd say Misaki>Le

  • You called Frank Shamrock legit competition, LOL. In his Pancrase days, certainly, but he's not going to be a contender for any worthwhile title. (Hint: the difference between Frank and Le is that Frank at least used to be.)

  • well he sure as helll a step up from Cung's other ompetition hahahhaahah

  • The only signioficant guy frank shamrock beat was Ortiz.

  • better than a. silva? hahahahahahahahaha

  • haahahahah!!!. do you understand how is kungfu fight ?.If you understand , don't laught and wait to see Cung Le vs Silva some day.

  • silva would demolish him. ppl will doubt silva forever and he will continue to knock ppl out.

  • cant wait to see him in the coming up tekken movie!!

  • awesome fighter

  • he is a great fighter! i love the way that this guy fight!

  • i love the cung

  • Do you know what is Cung Le's MMA record?

  • Cung Le currently holds a MMA undefeated record of 6-0 with 6 knock outs.

You can watch all 6 fights via my Cung Le - "The Bruce Lee of MMA". Cheer

  • The Bruce Lee of MMA? Why are you talking about Lyoto Machida on a Cung Le video page?
