i thought it was funny, regarding the length of their songs. when their producer started complaining to black francis about how short their songs were, he took him to a record store and showed him the buddy holly section, all of his songs being under 3 minutes, and said it didnt matter how long the song was. he hasnt been bothered since, then again they havent made recent albums either. the new breeders album is fucking awesome though.

i really didn't appreciate this album when it came out. like a pearl jam groupie reacting to "no code" i was disappointed that it was such a departure from Doolittle and Surfer Rosa...... boy was i stupid :)
