I think thats the point of the film and the sequence. i mean they didnt get her to play the bass on purpose to show that people with do anything to "show off" or for "style" like even if she doesn't know how to play she's gonna hold the bass for "tashan". she doesn't realize it makes her look stupid, her character is supposed to be like that!
