Laughing so hard! Look at myself just like your dad. My daughter sometimes figured out and corrected my mix-up words. Oh well. Glad I don't say "touch my"!!!!
That is so HILARIOUS... my dad is deaf and my mom is hard of hearing, and my sister and I talk about how we could make a book out of everything they do. lol.
hehehe. . .Ahh, this reminds me the many 'mix-ups' I have. . lol, most let it slide. . until I'm the one who brings it up. . like did I just say/sign. . . .? Happens in both worlds for me.
i did almost plan buy my touch at t mobile then I change mind have sidekick part 4 almost two year but right now my sidekick die all white ...i cant afford new phone until whatever save money for the future college at gallaudet
interest my family speak spanish 100% and i use asl ...my family and me use communicate they way body language move make understand each other plus we never perfect understand it very hard easy confused...sometime i dont understand her try to speak english make mistake word mess up...i like huh??? ..it a lot people not easy the way.
Very funny. Both the "touch my something" and the "sure we can touch each other." I work with kids who are deaf and my assistant is deaf as well, ohhhh the stories. I should write them down. :-) Like... A deaf child from a deaf family asked me if I was deaf. I told him I wasn't. He was puzzled for a moment since signing = deaf in his world. He then said, "don't worry, will become deaf later". haha
Funny... But true! Common for deaf people (I'm deaf myself, no flames please...) to switch words/names/nouns... I see it alot, especially with a friend of mine.
Interesting... shows how some people think/process words/language information.
Hahaha, that is great. Love it. Reminds me of a few weeks ago, texted an older deaf friend (a woman), pah she got SK, first time. I said "Hope we can keep in touch/contact(can't remy which)" she replied: "sure we can touch each other"(if ya sign it, makes sense *contact*). I almost died.. it's not poking fun at all, you're right, it's these "cherished" moments that I won't forget.. of course this is lil different than what you talked about, but thought it still applied.. smile.

Quite often I'm embarrassed at myself for not quickly catching onto what the inverted word fraction is that I can't figure out...
-where's "Garden Olive?" ...huh???
