Why don't you just consider it less a political mission, and more an artistic appreciation? I swear, I know this voice, and the difference between this and Rory's voice, and you should too. Why you don't is really very mystifying to me, and I'm not interested in arguing the point. Guh.
Rory has a magnificent voice-I used to think he was a woman, though, cuz his voice reminded me of a music teacher I used to have-and she has a voice like that, too. :)
Also, this piano intro-I have definitely played it on my keyboard ^_^
You people don't know your asses from your heads. Rory Dodd is on the back track; Jim has NO voice. It is 100% Rory Dodd. Jim Steinman would need his balls in a vice and a jack hammer to the head to achieve that vibrato.
In the phrase "turn around" there is precious little of vibratto, so your comment is incorrect without any other information. Jim's voice is highly trained and it is Jim's voice. With regards this vocal, for an inexplicable reason there is a near total eclipse of the truth, but there is no reason to believe it is anyone but Jim as the main male vocalist on the track whether or not it be a synch.
Yeah, it's Rory Dodd singing, of course... it's the track from the record. But in the complete clip (this seems to be only the second half) Jim and Bonnie really practice, with him playing the piano and often stopping and correcting her... that's a must-see!
Yes, I think it is a shame that they took the original audio out and overdubbed it with the track from the album. The video itself though is actual footage of the rehearsal between Bonnie and Jim.
Jim Steinman is the reason Meat Loaf even had a career. He wrote all his songs.

I am pretty sure this is Rory Dodd's voice, just go to jim steinmann's video and hear him singing you will hear the difference.

The male in the video is Jim Steinman but the voice is Rory Dodd from Port Dover, Ontario. Canada.

it's lip sync...so this isn't very special. =)

I like this song. It is sooo unique and warm touchy.

You guys are killing me.
In spite of the title, and lack of critical thinking - THIS IS THE ALBUM SOUNDTRACK.
They're not practicing... Jim AND Bonnie are lip-synching to Rory and Bonnie's album track.
Jim sings reasonably well - but doesn't sound anything like Rory, by the way.
I know this video is weird but don't take it at face-value. They're performing in sync to the album... that's what you're hearing.
Nubcakes.

I'm tired of this silly debate.

Also my teacher played like this guy here-this is Jim Steinman, right?-according to the video title?
Well, whoever's singing (Rory or Jim) great voice-I think I read it was Rory, though. XD

You need a new otologist. That is, clearly and categorically, Rory Dodd's vocal Not Jim's.

Liked your strumming cat thing on RR. But clearly, I do not need to have my hearing checked. I just need some help with my vocabulary. :)

Have you heard Jim's album...? I mean he can hold is own VERY decently but this is Rory...
