6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Before i met christ i was all about money. So i had a job. It was all about enjoyment, so i did good to people my family and helped the homeless. My life before christ i had a good life.
So why did i become a christian?
Heck if i know...
You dont need to be believing in a higher power to become a good person, be happy and do good to others.
A relationship with God is all the evidence one will ever need to know that he is real. God is more real than anything on this earth. Relationships are real, you cant deny that. And when you have a relationship with God, your life is filled with peace and you can feel his presence day in and day out. Those who bash the Lord do so because they know what they do not have in their life, and they are trying to take Christians down so that they can feel better about themselves.
Here is something that I do not understand. Why athiests or agnostics only choose to rise up against Christianity. I have known a lot of both and I have only a few times known any of them to mention buddists, of hindu, or any other faiths god in a negative light. I just dont get it.
To Mmartini50. Chill out! Have another martini and read The Message. Hawklord, do the same. Good grief, it takes more faith to NOT believe in God than to do so.
@staceyjamesm I'm always chilled, Stacey, thank you for your concern.
By the way, what you just said there is nonsense.
I don't believe in Santa Claus, and that takes zero faith. Now, to believe in Santy - that would take a LOT of faith. Kids do it, of course, but I'm a grown up now, and it's been 54 years and still no sign of Santy! Same with god...
There's no such phrase as "self absorbence", Stephen. It's "self absorption". And, like all born agains, you are STILL self absorbed. Otherwise you wouldn't be interested in testifying to all and sundry, you'd just get on with your life.
This is awesome, it's going to be wonderful meeting so many different people in Heaven. It's so inspiring to see a man willing to stand for the Lord is a pool of God haters.
My point (and I am surprised at being asked to explain something patently obvious) is that total submission to a god is not without risk. It's OK as long as this god is benign of course, but what if, for the sake of some unnamed purpose, it requires you to harm another? This is a legitimate question faced by that old testamen lunatic Abraham, of course.
Is your faith strong enough for murder? How fanatical can you be in the name of God?
@mmartini50 - If my Grandmother had balls, she'd be my Grandfather. But, she doesn't have balls and she's not my Grandfather, so... So what? What is your point? How about we focus on what is actually happening? :-)
@aclopriore Again with the patronising. What is it with some of you Christians?
Yes, I've read the Bible as a young man. I know the Bible, I was a memeber of a church as a boy, I've studied it, and I've made up my mind as to what it is. It certainly is NOT the word of any god. It is the word of men. It's morality is half baked, it's history is inaccurate, and it's supernaturalism the invention of oppressed people seeking solace.
@aclopriore "Got a bible? please start to read it"
Many atheist do have bibles, myself included. I've had mine for 44 years, and I read it. However, until you can verify and demonstrate the existence of the God of the Bible then ANYTHING God has to say on ANY subject is irrelavent.
Just appreciate and respect his decision! We all have free choices to choose and make decisions. Let's just hope were all makin the right ones......Love my Father in heaven!
These BLOODY believers! It's all ME ME ME ME. They are soooo self centred.
Who cares what your drug of choice (religion or otherwise) you use to get you through? We all do the best we can with the cards we're dealt. But we don't all have to make public testimony of our coping strategies. Bloody religionists.
The funniest part is that the song used is Eddie Vedder's "Guaranteed" (Into the Wild, 2007). Eddie Vedder is a notable atheist. One would think that they could find music from a Christian to use in these shit videos.
The cleaning lady probably really said: "Stephen, you will never be as popular as your brothers. Your acting sucks. Ive heard theres a lot of money in talking about god and stuff... why dont you try that." Now, when your latino cleaning lady tells you that to your face... your jouney begins.
Thank you, Mr. Baldwin, Mr. Cameron, Sting, and all the others I've been thrilled to see making these videos who stand up for Jesus, who consider yourselves second to Christ and understand that "To live is Christ, and to die is gain!"
Stephen Baldwin is an idiot. He is only somewhat known of due to his family. He made a couple of shitty movies that were never popular. He is a bigot and spreads lies and hate.

For those without faith, nothing is possible. for those with faith, everything is possible. Having only physical or observable evidence is a very limited perspective.........
@TheRadiorad "For those without faith, nothing is possible. for those with faith, everything is possible."
If I have faith is it possible for a toaster to fuck a microwave and give birth to a Volvo?
Get real please.
"Having only physical or observable evidence is a very limited perspective."
But its all we got. ANYTHING that you assert about God or the afterlife is 100% speculation, wishful thinking or faith. We can only address with any certainty that which we can observe, or test.
@hawklord2001 actually if you ask some philosophers not even can we have certainty in that which we can observe or test. but hey thats really just solipsistic thinking :P
@hawklord2001 Here's the difference.. If I am wrong as a believer in Christ, I die and all goes black and my mind never has another thought. If you are wrong as a mocker of Christ, when you die you stand in the presence of Satan. And all that Christ said it was and what you would go through for eternity."grinding and gnashing of teeth"like getting a root canal w/o Novocain.FOREVER.It never ends.So go right ahead, roll the dice.Keep on making mockery of the creator. The truth will set u free.
@forjesus911 Yes, if you are right I am royally screwed, but I also have deeply held beliefs. I believe that worshipping an entity that imposes original sin on the human race is immoral and unjust. The gift of life he gave us gives him no right to own us. Please spare me the freewill BS. God is not content with allowing us to "find" him, he must punish us if we don't. It's absurd.
@hawklord2001 I felt the same way you did.I was an addict for 25 yrs.Started at14 till 39y/o.I finally got committed to the psych ward.It was July9th 1999.I woke up at midnite with the face of God calling my name.As real as looking at this computer. It's not God punishing us if we dont love him.He wants no one to go to hell. It's like u loving your kids.Which we are his kids. You dont want them to go down wrong paths but u cant make them do anything. It has to come from them.
Respond to this video... Your looking at it in the wrong lite. Not me or anyone else is going to change your mind.I know, I was where u are now.Its coming to a point in your life where u say wow, there is more to this than my little mind can comprehend. You hv to know u dont have all the answers right?Everyone who is a believer came to him the same way.Its called humbling yourself b4 him and saying help me.And the blinders will come off. That simple. But u gotta make the 1st move.
Respond to this video... Im not trying to tick u off nor talk down to u.But i know when I see a miserable person when I read your orig. post. Its like wow, that was me 12 yrs ago.It was like I wrote it myself.I wish u the best and hope u see that I just care about people whether I know u or not.Especially when I see myself in you.Good luck and all I ask is keep an open mind.My worst day as a follower of Christ is better than my best day the way I was..Peace..
@hawklord2001 Just for correction sake, GOD never imposed original sin on us. we did. that is, our ancestors. No--there is no punishment for not "finding" GOD. If you never heard of GOD, then you're fine. lol. But yes, you have freewill. Religion has ruined it for a lot of people. The bible doesn't stand behind religion. James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." Sorry.
@areyouazombie "Just for correction sake, GOD never imposed original sin on us. we did. that is, our ancestors." I must have interpreted the Adam and Eve account incorrectly. I thought Eve was prompted to use critical thinking and discovery to find out if what she had been told was true, as opposed to simply accepting what she was told.
"No--there is no punishment for not "finding" GOD. If you never heard of GOD, then you're fine. lol'
Thank you for the clarification, I'm fine then. :)
@hawklord2001 (in reference to eve) manipulation, and temptation don't look like critical thinking to me. or else "one night stands" couldn't exist. lol
@areyouazombie "(in reference to eve) manipulation, and temptation don't look like critical thinking to me.
It could be said that she was manipulated by probably both the serpent and God. She was told one thing by God then told something else by the serpent. She had to work with the information she was given.
@hawklord2001: Funny, the claim "we can only address with any certainty that which we can observe, or test" is not itself something that can be physically observed or tested. Your own standard of knowledge is self-defeating. Also, science would be impossible without speculation; I can see shapes in the lens of a microscope but if I don't rely on speculation then no matter how much evidence I have of bacteria and their behavior I can never actually make the leap to the most basic biological law.
Also, when Christians say that God can do anything, what is meant by that is "anything that power can do." God cannot defy the laws of logic any more than you can, nor, I think, would He want to even if He could. Again and again, the Bible speaks of God's wisdom and knowledge (J.P. Moreland even said that the Bible has as much or more to say about knowledge than about faith) and to go against reason would be to go against God's own inherent nature.
@hawklord2001 I don't think God was referring to perverted things like microwaves and toasters having sex. I think you maybe need to get real. Microwaves and toasters are inanimate objects- they have no life, no brain, no heart....and they don't reproduce through sexual intercourse. How then can we see this verse alive in our society today? People are healed daily in the name of Jesus. The blind see, the lame walk and the broken are made whole- for nothing is impossible with God.
@hawklord2001 well mission accomplished, it definitely was ridiculous lol Yes, they are most certainly healed by faith. Why, would someone go about being sick with disease and such for years and then one day be healed, oh yeah, and coincidentally, it was in the name of Jesus...and why would that repeatedly occur to millions of people? No, I am literally speaking. There are tonnes of em... I can inbox you some if you want?
@hawklord2001 You should meet my step-son. He was seriously injured in a car wreck May 31, 2010. He was in real bad shape, and the doctor even told us to call his brother home from Iraq, as well as all the rest of the family as he was sure he could do no more. My husband and I, along with family, friends and many people all over the world, we prayed and prayed and prayed that night. Today, my step-son is healthy, well and leading a normal, but miraculous life. God is very real.
@LissaKay Please, because you prayed for your son and he lived is proof of the power of god? How do you account for the THOUSANDS of children who starve to death every day. Isn't it rather childish to think that god took time out of his day to help you? The same god who wrote Deut 22, verse 18. What an incredibly horrible god you picked. I am very glad your step son lived, but mabye thank the doctors instead. Also, if you do not currently, support stem cell research, it will save lives.
We mere humans cannot know why God does what He does. He is God. I am not so stupid as to question Him. He used my stepson's experience for His own reasons, for the effect it had on people both near and far. As for the verse you quote without understanding the context, the answer is Christ. Man is no longer punished for disobedience of God like that. Christ took our punishment onto Himself on the Cross. Those who give their life to Him, are forgiven and have eternal life
@LissaKay "We mere humans cannot know why God does what He does. He is God. I am not so stupid as to question Him."
But you do what he allegedly says!
This to me is a dangerous belief. There are those that intentionally harm others because they believe that God tells them to. Now you can slice it or dice it anyway you like "They are wrong, their not true this or not true that, I am right, the majority aren't like that!" But their deeply held beliefs are as important to them as yours are to you.
@hawklord2001 -- they told us there was nothing more they could do, his organs were shutting down and it was a matter of hours. His brain was swelling, his lungs were giving out, his blood was acidic. He did not leave the next day, but he did start recovering - which is in itself a miracle - and he did so at an amazing rate. And of course it was the Will of God ... nothing happens that is not the Will of God.
Why do you find it necessary to try to dissuade believers?
@Explorer766 No it is not a good idea for actors to get tattoos. It limits the amount of characters they can play. Stephen Baldwin has not been in a movie for over a decade. I am pretty sure that he has given up acting. He was never much of an actor. He was only in a few really shitty movies that never did well.
@p0rkch0ps Dont be totally ignorant!!. See this, PLEASE! "watch?v=EGLPADW_kUw", then this "watch?v=8vj0qKthCgg", and this "watch?v=_K2I5P36-Z8", and this "watch?v=5HbtoX3Q5OI". Then come back again and start to be atheists....
Just for you, I sat down and watched all of those videos, perhaps slightly curious to see if they were compelling.
They weren't. At all. They're a bunch of (oft) old people at the end of their life suddenly scared of death, and are relying on religion to take that fear away. Nice try, but until I have physical or observable evidence... it's just a no go.
Some of you people are truly vicious and filled with poison. You are awful to each other and are so self absorbed that you are incapable of believing in something bigger than yourselves.
This guy honestly thinks this is what humility looks like. This twisted "I have the savior of the world on speed dial" logic and saccharine sweet credulousness are self serving, simplistic and insulting.
oh this is just so embaressing....a tattoo covered ex-alkohol dependent ex junkie actor finding Jesus again....where was the Jesus dude when he was at the height of his carreer and snorting coke? he was`nt with the young Baldwin, that`s for sure..
@nimah79 He was with Baldwin, he still loved him but Baldwin wasn't looking to him. Ever notice how empty these people are despite having everything you could possibly want in life? Every selfish desire, every single material good that you can buy, every anonymous person you can have sex with, every drug you could ever snort, every drink you could ever swallow, all the money that could ever fill a bank account...and nothingness! It meant absolutely nothing. God changes the heart.
@jcaudill6921 hahaha. It's not god changing their heart which makes them happier. When you tell yourself that you are happy every day you will be. If you tell yourself you're a loser and and focus on your flaws then you will start to feel depressed. It's fairly basic psychology really. So naturally when you believe in a God that tells you how beautiful and how much purpose your life has then you will feel happier. Unfortunately your happiness comes at a price. Religion deceives and causes war.
@Cruzader80 You obviously have never experienced God. That is why you sound so uneducated in your post. Plus, your example of "just telling yourself whatever you want to make you happy" is utterly ridiculous. People with addictions have proven this one false. By your logic, I guess if I tell myself that I'm really Spiderman and can climb walls then I'll start to believe it and the only thing that stops depression is "just not telling yourself bad things." You have to be in your early 20s.
@jcaudill6921 It's crazy how many assumptions you just made! I have experienced "god". I even believed. But i realised i was being brainwashed. I wanted to believe god had a plan for me because I was in a difficult place. "God" (Belief) possibly saved my close cousin from committing suicide.
You also misquoted me twice.
Typical. I would've explained it in full if I had space. I guess you can't expect people with no common sense to use it.
@Cruzader80 Obviously you have to be telling yourself something that you can believe. I guarantee if you keep telling yourself you are spiderman some part of your brain will also tell you that you aren't. Of course with no common sense and some ignorance, who knows what you'll believe.
I never said it was the "only" thing that would would stop depression.
Wow I must be an idiot because I'm 21 huh. You could have learnt my age from my profile. You sound like a typical deluded American! bless u
That would be called "Legalism" my friend. Christians believe that God's word is good, even the laws of the Old Testament, but God made a new covenant with His people, fulfilled through Jesus Christ. If you believe and follow in Jesus Christ, than you are made anew and right with Him. There is so much more to it...actually why don't you read YOUR Bible.
Also, God accepts any person...tattoos, former druggies, alcoholics, sex addicts....anyone. If you come to Him in reverence and ask for forgiveness than He will forgive, and He doesn't look at your past...including tats. He doesn't turn you away because you have a tattoo...
btw , you are sinning while you sit there.. Leviticus 19:28, "Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the Lord.
@ab330 Tribes back then would mark themselves just like a lot do today, to worship pagan gods. That is what he was referring to. Its not as if people were getting tats back then of loved ones names, album covers, biblical tats, etc.
@HTSS8 You didn't understand ? What this means is that he's putting Christ at first place. This is not the only testimony of "I am Second" there's more here on youtube. Its not about the body of Christ
A basic liar and hipocrit! I saw him on Larry King. Seems he's actually against healing the sick. What next Stephen? Kick the poor. Your a second rate actor and a hipocrit to boot.
@celticmonk Um ok, nobody who follows the life of Stephen Baldwin is gonna believe your comments. I mean why even watch this...just to be your basic pharisee aye? Stephen is VERY outspoken even in his action concerning his mature relationship with God. Even the clip you are referring to is easily refutable in its context yet people like you pervert the truth. People get healed and get sick again but the knowledge of the Kingdom saves the soul and grants access to the Healer, personally.
@celticmonk - He was probably referring to supernatural healing, i'm not sure though. Some Christians differ on some doctrines, but one belief that unites them is that Jesus Christ is the Lord.
@Guapwong That last sentence, and your total devotion to being unbiased in your words gets my respect in a big way.
Imagine if you will, a world where Atheists, for example, had a similar approach. Most different religious groups and faiths can't sit and have an honest discussion, and that's where division comes from. Not from the Belief itself.
Corny rip off of leftist marketing strategies for activism. Namely "I am 99%."

I understand that as a believer that you THINK that we all need faith, but

Please explain how it take's more faith to not believe?

@staceyjamesm I'm always chilled, Stacey, thank you for your concern.
By the way, what you just said there is nonsense.
I don't believe in Santa Claus, and that takes zero faith. Now, to believe in Santy - that would take a LOT of faith. Kids do it, of course, but I'm a grown up now, and it's been 54 years and still no sign of Santy! Same with god...

How about you focus on being less patronising?
My point (and I am surprised at being asked to explain something patently obvious) is that total submission to a god is not without risk. It's OK as long as this god is benign of course, but what if, for the sake of some unnamed purpose, it requires you to harm another? This is a legitimate question faced by that old testamen lunatic Abraham, of course.
Is your faith strong enough for murder? How fanatical can you be in the name of God?

@aclopriore Again with the patronising. What is it with some of you Christians?
Yes, I've read the Bible as a young man. I know the Bible, I was a memeber of a church as a boy, I've studied it, and I've made up my mind as to what it is. It certainly is NOT the word of any god. It is the word of men. It's morality is half baked, it's history is inaccurate, and it's supernaturalism the invention of oppressed people seeking solace.
mmartini50 2 months ago
@aclopriore "Got a bible? please start to read it"
Many atheist do have bibles, myself included. I've had mine for 44 years, and I read it. However, until you can verify and demonstrate the existence of the God of the Bible then ANYTHING God has to say on ANY subject is irrelavent.

James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you." Sorry.
areyouazombie 4 months ago
@areyouazombie "Just for correction sake, GOD never imposed original sin on us. we did. that is, our ancestors." I must have interpreted the Adam and Eve account incorrectly. I thought Eve was prompted to use critical thinking and discovery to find out if what she had been told was true, as opposed to simply accepting what she was told.
"No--there is no punishment for not "finding" GOD. If you never heard of GOD, then you're fine. lol'
Thank you for the clarification, I'm fine then. :)

@hawklord2001 " GOD never imposed original sin on us. we did"
After rereading he Adam and Eve story I must agree with you. There is no reference to original sin there.

hawklord2001 4 months ago
@hawklord2001: Funny, the claim "we can only address with any certainty that which we can observe, or test" is not itself something that can be physically observed or tested. Your own standard of knowledge is self-defeating. Also, science would be impossible without speculation; I can see shapes in the lens of a microscope but if I don't rely on speculation then no matter how much evidence I have of bacteria and their behavior I can never actually make the leap to the most basic biological law.
themistocles1991 4 months ago
@themistocles1991 "Also, science would be impossible without speculation"
I agree. However, i don't think that we rely on speculation to draw a conclusion. Research is the key.
hawklord2001 4 months ago
Also, when Christians say that God can do anything, what is meant by that is "anything that power can do." God cannot defy the laws of logic any more than you can, nor, I think, would He want to even if He could. Again and again, the Bible speaks of God's wisdom and knowledge (J.P. Moreland even said that the Bible has as much or more to say about knowledge than about faith) and to go against reason would be to go against God's own inherent nature.
themistocles1991 4 months ago
@hawklord2001 I don't think God was referring to perverted things like microwaves and toasters having sex. I think you maybe need to get real. Microwaves and toasters are inanimate objects- they have no life, no brain, no heart....and they don't reproduce through sexual intercourse. How then can we see this verse alive in our society today? People are healed daily in the name of Jesus. The blind see, the lame walk and the broken are made whole- for nothing is impossible with God.

LissaKay 1 month ago
@LissaKay Please, because you prayed for your son and he lived is proof of the power of god? How do you account for the THOUSANDS of children who starve to death every day. Isn't it rather childish to think that god took time out of his day to help you? The same god who wrote Deut 22, verse 18. What an incredibly horrible god you picked. I am very glad your step son lived, but mabye thank the doctors instead. Also, if you do not currently, support stem cell research, it will save lives.
mikemfd232 1 month ago
@mikemfd232

God changes the heart.
jcaudill6921 7 months ago
@jcaudill6921 hahaha. It's not god changing their heart which makes them happier. When you tell yourself that you are happy every day you will be. If you tell yourself you're a loser and and focus on your flaws then you will start to feel depressed. It's fairly basic psychology really. So naturally when you believe in a God that tells you how beautiful and how much purpose your life has then you will feel happier. Unfortunately your happiness comes at a price. Religion deceives and causes war.

@Cruzader80 You obviously have never experienced God. That is why you sound so uneducated in your post. By your logic, I guess if I tell myself that I'm really Spiderman and can climb walls then I'll start to believe it and the only thing that stops depression is "just not telling yourself bad things." You have to be in your early 20s.
jcaudill6921 6 months ago
@jcaudill6921 It's crazy how many assumptions you just made! I have experienced "god". I even believed. But i realised i was being brainwashed. I wanted to believe god had a plan for me because I was in a difficult place. "God" (Belief) possibly saved my close cousin from committing suicide.

A Body of Christ, correct? If you are "Second", then I am......?
Matt 20:16 "the 1st shall be LAST, and the LAST shall be 1st" not 2nd, 3rd or anything in between.
Is the Foot 2nd to the Hand?
Is the Eye 2nd to the Head?
Is the Arm 2nd to the Leg?
Is the Pinky Toe 2nd to the Big Toe?
