  • Out of everyone...... Paul does it best!!!

  • I like it ..

  • I admire Paul Weller, but John L makes it better...

  • Great cover, One of my favorites of the time.

  • love it

  • Great cover!

  • He kept the nature of the song the same, but I have to say his voice doesn't exactly cut it, but It isn't his fault really, I'll give it a solid 4.5 out of 5.

  • best version after the beatles....yes!

  • normalmente le cover dei beatles fanno pena...questa un pò meno

  • Five Stars my friend

Can't compare people's voicees to anyone but im sure you gave it your best.

  • i love this Chord Progresion

  • to other old punks:

Weller still does it great..."As Is Now " cd

is killer... every track...paul is too cool...

  • you mean "Mods"

  • This is really good. It makes me appriciate the song more than anything else though.

  • One of the Beatles' most amazing songs permormed majestically by one of the coolest vocalists on the block. 5 stars.

  • He has a voice that lends itself to Lennon's tunes. This really need some top backing vocals, though.

  • 99% of Beatles covers totally suck. This isn't too bad. I mean, how to cover this brilliant song? Paul did pretty good.

I think the best Beatles cover EVER was The Jam's "And you Bird Can Sing." Seriously, it is amazing!

  • Joe cockers cover of with a little help from my friends is the best cover of any beatles song in my opinion. Much better than the original.

  • No... The Jam's is the best. Sorry mate.

  • not really a fact though is it. Most people say Joe cockers version.

  • It is a fact. I said it was true, therefore it is a true. Paul's version is better. lol

  • You never said it was true.. ;)

  • hmmm, I think you are right. I never did. Joe's version is pretty awesome, and he made it "his." Paul sounds similar to John, of course. BTW, the one song that Paul sings that always stuns me is "Fever." Wow, I really dislike the original, but The Jam's version is amazing.

But I really dislike their "Heatwave." Filler in an otherwise brilliant CD.

  • @goby999 Dont forget "Dear Prudence" by Siouxsie and the Banshees.. that aint bad.

  • Wow! I mean, wow! I honestly had no idea that Paul Weller was this talented. I only really remember him from the Jam ages ago in my youth. I took a chance 'cause I just vidied the Beatles Sexy Sadie post. I'm really very impressed. It's not the Beatles, but then nothing is. I'll have to give old Paul a second listen.

  • Oasis love to rip off Beatles

  • es uno de los mejores covers de sexy sadie

  • Probably one of best beatles cover's i've heard :)

  • of course, the song is amazing and Paul Weller flawlees as usual.

  • paul and the oasis rock BIG TIME

  • The Beatles' version was better but this is good too.

  • nice...

  • my god!! this is really good. i love the original but i must clap my hand's for this one.

  • i like this cover very good production of the song everything sounds all nice n beefed up i like it

  • Well Done. Good Cover

  • 4 stars

  • why not 5? :) Ok, I agree

  • because its not the beatles

  • Great version! Weller is great!

  • For anyone who'd like to know, this song is available on a 3 disc set called Fly on the Wall. It is a very good compilation of Weller B-sides, rarities and cover tunes. Thanks for this nice post Mavacheroba. Cheers!
